10 mins walk from Waterfront. Parking. Very quiet. Nice rooftop pool. Comfortable decor. Functioning safe - sometimes they are awkward. Surrounded within 3 mins of a variety of foods/bars.
Pleasant constant security. Communication with Cape Royal team via WhatsApp easy and constructive (we were ;late travelling across the region).

Needed one hand towel and a floor towel, we asked never received. No kitchen towels to wipe up messes. No aircon!!!!! Reception staff needs training. Treat customers indifferently. Security friendly but no etiquette.

Apartment was big and comfortable
The Air conditioning went off 3 times. And on the third time, it could not be restored. I contacted the host and it appeared to be an issue with a voucher. I asked for fans to be sent but nothing was done. It was so hot. We opened the windows and then got button by mosquitoes. The host sent the building maintenance to try and rectify the issue but the could not. We were left for one hour without electricity while they tried to rectify the situation. This is not what I paid for. Extremely expensive and top dollar. When uninformed the host, she had the audacity to ask me to leave ! The problem is not mine, it’s hers. She asked my family to go sleep in another apartment - which was hot as well - the unit could not be cooled down to less that 23 degrees , it was a very hot and uncomfortable night and we were travelling the next morning. In all my years travelling, I have never interacted with such a rude and unprofessional host. Avoid Terri and this place please.

Better reception (in fact there were no reception at times) Like not even a person on duty.
The only staff member I saw the entire weekend was the door man and he barely smiled, greeted or open the door:)
Freezer weren’t working. Had to order Ice multiple times on Mr D, because it kept melting.
We have stayed at most beautiful TAJ apartment suites also for R6000 per night and had SO much more luxury and service.

We arrived at around 8pm - there was nobody at reception anymore, only the night guard. He could not find my reservation. Although I had booked it and paid for it, the hotel only had the name of my colleague, so this took a while to sort out. The night guard only handed us the keys but did not explain things around the hotel.
Once I finally got to my apartment, the fridge/freezer was beeping and there was a puddle of water on the floor in the kitchen. I went downstairs to the night guard again asking to change my room. He said he was unable to do that as the reception does not manage the rooms, this was done through another company called 'Stay in Luxury' and that I had to contact them. He gave me the number to call which rang out when I rang. I then texted the number and a person, Terri, responded a bit later. He was not very helpful, did not offer to change the room/aprtment for me but told me to make sure the fridge door is shut and that he will send somebody the following morning. I then proceed back to the apartment, pressed a button on the fridge that made the beeping stop, shut the fridge door hard (although it seemed pretty shut to me) and put a towel down to soak up the water. Needless to say, the beeping started again at 1am. Overall, a pretty bad experience and will never stay there again - avoid at all cost.

The units (we stayed in two as the first one developed power issues) require some TLC. Bathroom fixtures, lampshades and kitchen kickboards loose.

The room is spacious and nice and well equipped.
One of the door to the balcony not tightly shut so there is some cool air coming in. There is a construction sight next to the building which creates noise and dust during the day.

I decided to revisit after almost a decade, hoping for a pleasant surprise — but unfortunately, the only surprise was how far the standards have dropped.
On arrival, I was “welcomed” by an extremely unfriendly staff member who looked more annoyed than accommodating. No greeting, no assistance with luggage — just a clear sense that I was interrupting his day.
The shower dripped endlessly, even after being told the tap “wasn’t closed properly.” His attempted fix didn’t help — it dripped all night long. And the towels? Let’s just say “used” would be an understatement — pink stains and hair included. 🫣
Tried contacting the manager or letting agent, but got no response. For a property that’s not exactly cheap, the experience was shockingly poor. Definitely not worth even a night’s stay.

When we arrived the flat was not clean. We did report it and they came to clean the next day. The aircon did not work. It was so hot but we could not turn it down especially in the upstairs bedroom.
The plugs next to the beds are behind the fitted headboards. There are no 2 pin plugs in the rooms so you need to bring an adapter.

Location is central and very accessible. There are plenty pf Restaurants with in walking distance, The V&A Waterfront is not far at all and easy access to the other tourist attractions

Beautiful building and apartment, very convenient and safe with the underground parking and security services. The apartment has everything one needs. We stayed there in winter and it was warm and cosy. Nice food spots in walking distance as well as the Woolworths and the Waterfront.

The room smelled and the pillow also had an unclean smell to them. They didn’t even leave us bottled water. Also the pictures are very misleading.

All things considered, this was a great hotel. Good location, rooms and common area were fantastic. AC worked perfectly and it was very comfortable.
Only issue was that there was a leak in the bathroom and it took a little while to get ahold of the host to get someone to repair it. Ended up spending some time making sure there were towels and buckets down to make sure the leak didn't get worse.
