Worse treatment

We booked it for a couple of days ans paid,I booked for 6 adults and 4 children and we booked both houses on the property,a few hours later the owner/caretaker called to cancel the booking saying that they do not allow parties,I told him who said we planning to host or have a party he said because there are so many adults thats what the owner is assuming,now a couple of months before this i booked the place and we were basically the same amount of people and had no problems. I paid over R50k for this accommodation,it left us stranded with our children in the streets of Cape town,the day after we had to return back to the Eastern Cape as that was our accommodation money for the few days we could stay there and I could not be left stranded in Cape Town,very dissapointed in them,they very judgemental maybe racist im not sure or they did a double booking.Booking.com could only refund our money a few days after.They sent an email to booking.com saying we cancelled but it was them,the blatant lies that they told was very appalling and I would never refer them to anyone ever again.I forgive them but they did us dirty.

For the price, this is a stunning place to stay, but a few basic things really let it down.

Pros: Amazing views, comfortable bedrooms and lounge, open kitchen/lounge, nicely decorated, very spacious, stacking doors which means you can open up the windows to the beautiful view and great location.

Cons: Most difficult and unresponsive host I have ever had to deal with on any accommodation platform; apartment lacking basic maintenance (e.g., front door wall not painted), misleading information online (no proper outdoor area, no swimming pool, which, from previous reviews, I see I was not the only one to think this).

unacceptable -Luxury Home?

Only the location of the apartment was acceptable

The pictures and descriptions are misleading. We wanted a luxury house with a pool and garden, as described. Unfortunately, we were given a different apartment in the same building. We couldn't use the garden because it was unfurnished, so things like having breakfast outside weren't possible. Changing the towels only happened after we asked for it. The trash wasn't taken out until we put it outside our door. Unclean: dirty windows and an unkempt apartment. The price didn't matter to us. We wanted a nice place to stay. The house is generally run-down.

It's a good location not too far from the shopping centre's. The place was spotless.

I didn't like the fact that we couldn't use the pool and the picnic spot , she told us it's for the main house but when we booked all those things were a part of our booking.

A beautiful house, well located with amazing views. It was very well equipped and although we enjoyed our stay cleanline

Beautiful views, well equipped.

The owner reprimanding us after only being on the balcony for 5 minutes. Do not put outdoor furniture on the balcony if you do not want guests to use that space. It made it very uncomfortable for everyone of us and we weren’t even noisy. We just wanted to enjoy a glass of wine and a cheese platter outside while the sun set.

Really spacious with lovely amenities and a fully stocked kitchen. Also a beautiful view and comfortable beds!

The property was perfect, we just had trouble contacting the owner on the day which made us worry quite a bit. We had wanted to check in at 2pm but the cleaners were still busy until 3pm. That was ok as they allowed us to check out later the next day.

Prachtige ruime villa met een paar kleine schoonheidsfoutjes

Mooie villa in een nette wijk. Zeer ruim. Met name het woongedeelte en de master bedroom. Prachtig uitzicht vanaf de terrassen. Goede faciliteiten in heel de woning. Een prima uitvalsbasis ook om de omgeving te verkennen. Op ca. 20 minuten van hartje Kaapstad. Ideaal als je een (huur)auto hebt. Alles veilig achter hekwerk. Ideaal voor twee koppels of een groot gezin.

Wat schoonheidsfoutjes. Gescheurde ramen. Loszittend stucwerk. Gaten in muur of niet geverfd. Rommel in de tuin. Zwembad niet super schoon. Allemaal niet heel erg. Maar toch jammer. Knap dit op en het is werkelijk perfect.
