The property is really charming and welcoming.
Every detail inside the rented unit, the main house and the garden has been thought through with taste. The owners, their daughter and the staff are really nice, you truly feel like guests there.
The transparent WC door in the room is a bit surprising 😅
We also had some issue with internet and water but the owners where very reactive and sent teams to fix that immediately

Die Räumlichkeiten, der Außenbereich, das Haupthaus und der Frühstücksbereich. Die Umgebung und Kloofstreet mit Cafés und Restaurants kann zu Fuß erreicht werden

De locatie was super en de service heel goed. We werden ontzettend goed ontvangen en geholpen en hebben 1 ochtend ontbijt geboekt en dat was heerlijk! Na aankomst werden er twee manden met speelgoed gebracht voor de kids, dat vonden ze echt geweldig!
Enige minpunt is dat de airco niet werkte, verder was het perfect en met een ventilator in de zomer goed te doen!

The host Doreen welcomed us in a superbly friendly manner and to our surprise there was a nice bit of cheese, baguette and some cold meats awaiting us. The property is close to the CBD and situated close to a road leading directly into town. The bedding was good and all was clean.
We are not sure what happened, Doreen indicated that she only had this one room left when we booked. The room was less than basic and did not meet our expectations at all, especially considering the cost. We did mention our unhappiness to Doreen, who advised that other rooms she has are much better. We can only write on our personal experience.
The bed was at floor level, essentially matrasses on a wooden board (bedding was nevertheless comfy and clean).
The toilet was literally less than 2 meters away from the bed. The toilet door had no handle and would also not close.
The dining area consisted of a table maybe 60 x 60 cm, with two plastic chairs - very minute.
The kitchen consists of cupboards (on wheels), the sink / basin was a fold-up camping basin, there was no toaster, microwave etc as advertised.
There was no air-conditioning as advertised, but a normal fan standing on the floor.
There was no mosquito net as advertised, nor was there any gauze in front of the windows to keep them out.
A ceiling fan is installed, but made so much noise when operating that we switched it off again.
The lounge area consisted of a couch only, on the side of the room.
There was no parking available, we should probably have reserved but the place was fully booked anyway.
The noise emanating from the close-by street was irritating (we could not close the window due to the heat).
Stairs on the property had no handrail, some were steep making it difficult to maneuver luggage up and down.
Flooring consisted of a concrete floor.
