There was no restaurant nor bar open. Was not told until check in that they were under construction. Would have changed our plans as my husband had to leave early for meetings and couldn’t get a cup of coffee or breakfast. The location is nice and close to the city center. And there are lots of places to get food., Just very inconvenient and not communicated.
No restaurant nor bar on site.

Beautiful inn, centrally located, friendly and helpful staff.
Bar/club down a few doors down from the inn blasts music at night (until 2:00 am on Sat./Sun. night) that is disruptive to rooms on street side.

Beautiful room, helpful staff, great quiet location.
Would have liked a bar or restaurant on site.

Excellent location in a desirable location, an easy walk to all the historic sites in Centro Histórico. We loved the way the owners retained the grand classic old world architectural with modern comfortable furnishings and fixtures. Across the street is a wine and cheese store and a world class cafe to satisfy even the most demanding coffee afeccionado. The staff is super sweet and eager to please. An à la carte breakfast was available from 0800 till 1030, consisting of fresh juice, fruit, granola, yogurt, eggs as you like and chilaquiles with red or green sauce. This was more than enough to fuel our morning walks. There was ample lighted closet space with a secure safe. The bath was well appointed. We took advantage of the central courtyard, which was stunning and outfitted with comfortable seating and umbrella-shaded tables.
Mostly minor points. While our room came with a small refrigerator, there was no microwave or coffee maker. We didn’t miss these much, but some guests might.

Beautiful hotel in a convenient downtown location. Problem is lack of parking space on a crowded street.
Staff member Sam was extremely helpful both upon arrival and later in recommending places to go for dinner.

A gorgeous boutique hotel close to all the fun and shopping in centro yet just away enough to be quiet. We stayed in the Delores room and had our own private terrace with great views of the cityscape and mountains in the distance. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and comfortable. Our son stayed in the Hildago room off the main courtyard. It was every bit as lovely as ours - so spacious with the bathroom somewhat separated from the sleeping area. The staff was fantastic. Caring and professional. Breakfast was generous and delicious. The flowing water features and carefully manicured plants and flowers in public areas add tranquility and beauty to patios and the rooftop terrace. What a find!
Nothing. It was wonderful.

The property is absolutely gorgeous. I mean really over the top beautiful. I believe it’s also a national landmark as it was supposedly a meeting place of famous Mexican revolutionaries in the 1800’s. Before that it was the home of a very wealthy Spanish family. Additionally, the breakfast was delicious, cooked right there, and more than we could eat.
The only thing I didn’t like about the property is that I think they could have furniture in the room that is more comfortable. To be honest, I expect most people don’t spend much time inside their room. But still, more comfortable chairs, I believe, would be an improvement. The bed was great though.

Location. Reconstructed and repurposed hacienda lovely.
Breakfast not up to 5 star standards. Very, very basic, no choice, and poorly presented.
Mattress and pillows extremely hard and uncomfortable.

The location in the historical centre is amazing. The room was very spacious and the breakfast, though basic, was very good.
The place is close to a bar with live music during the weekend which we could “enjoy” till around 2am. Shortly after that around 630am the church bells started waking us up again. It could be that in other rooms you will not have this problem but our room was close to the street.

I was not sure about this property because I did not care for the decor in the photographs, but this place is soooo much better than the photos. No bright red accents, actually very attractive. Attractive headboards and colors. Friendly and helpful staff. Great massage right on the premises. Tasty breakfast. Fabulous location. Beautiful updated mansion. On-site bar.
We booked one night, then decided we were having too much fun to leave yet, so booked another night. Then had too much fun to leave yet so booked another night! We highly recommend this place!

The location is great! The building is beautiful. The room was large, with 2-story beamed ceilings. The bed comfortaable and the shower with plenty of pressure. I would stay here again for sure!
Can't really think of anythiing I didn't care for.

The casona is beautiful, impeccably clean, and well cared for.
Breakfast was serviceable, but not amazing.
I did not care for the lavender-scented sanitizing product they used to clean the room, so I asked them not to use it, and they obliged.

Location was great! We had a car and I did not know I could park it at the hotel so nest time we will do that. Would be great if they made that obvious on their website or when you booked. Or perhaps I just missed it. We also ate at El Encuentro which you can actually walk to from inside the hotel through a series of hallways and outdoor patios - even takes you through a very old kitchen that was used over 100 years ago! El Encuentro was great for dinner!
Nothing - perhaps that we only stayed 1 night there.

The location is ideal, but most of all, the rooms are spectacular! The hotel is set around a beautiful courtyard, and the terrasse on the roof is a wonderful place to sit and relax in the morning, or for a drink in the evening.
The breakfast is included, and the cook is a wonderful person. The choices on the menu are rather limited. Some sweet bread (pan dulce) would be very much appreciated!

The perfect merge between a traditional unique facility and luxury; walking distance from everything in downtown. Also, that all the rooms in the hotel are unique and different from each other. Excellent and friendly service from staff.
As a very minor comment, some of the common areas (including the breakfast room) are a bit cold during this time of the year; no heat on this areas.

gorgeous architecture, and centrally located. The rooms were beautifully furnished. we appreciate it the bathrobes, the mini fridge. the bedding was super good quality. Great water pressure.
the employees at the front desk were really clueless. they didn’t show us how to turn on the lights or how to use the shower to get hot water. they never provided us a menu for breakfast and were very limited, nor did they provide us any useful information about the city or main attractions - such as the wineries. it said they had a bidet and the employees didn’t even know what it was and there was not any bidet. in order to use the jacuzzi, we had to give them a 40 minute advanced notice and it could only be used during the DAYTIME! when we got in, it was freezing water! there was no option to make it warmer.

Big 17th century renovated hotel that's fun to explore -- it's like a museum -- check out the rooftop area. I got a room for $200/night that would cost at least $800/night in Mexico City. It had a clean (two person) sauna, a 6 person hot tub, hot water readily available, water pressure perfect. Oh, and it had two bathrooms, two levels, it was way too much space but I enjoyed fantasizing about how I'd turn it into my fantasy loft apartment, perfect size for that. I had a street facing room on ground floor, so it may be loud for some people until midnight, when everyone goes to sleep. (I'm a city person, I'm used to city noises). Great location, within 10 walk from most museums in centro area. Queretaro is underrated, despite being a UNESCO World Heritage site: clean, well manicured, safe, festive (everyday of the week), cheaper than Mexico City (which has gotten expensive). Favorite part was that I rarely heard English and didn't see many Americans, whereas certain parts of Mexico are packed with Americans. My Spanish improved because I was forced to practice. In any case, I'll be back, will skip Mexico City next time. This hotel will be even better once they recover from Pandemic and start up their restaurant again.

Excellent location a couple of blocks from the main plaza. Great restaurant options nearby. The staff were extremely kind and attentive. Nice bar on the roof. Beautiful vintage building.
The wifi didn’t work very well. maybe because of the thick stone walls.

The placer is really amazing, the location is perfect.
I did not like the bar that is in front is really to loud but the worst if you are not a religious person the church bell ringing so early is the worst thing.

Good coffee but cold eggs and toast. Fresh orange juice was great.
Better wifi would be an improvement. Check in was awkward with no one visible when we arrived at the gate. Our in room refrigerator didn't work. There wasn't any bar service on the roof top bar. Also, there was no possibility of fresh air in the room. Air conditioning had to be used.
