Right downtown. Many patios and terrazas. Large room quite comfortable. A bit old fashioned but not surprising for location. Lovely little breakfast with lots of coffee.
If you bring a car you will pay an extra 700 pesos to park a block away.

We stayed in a Luxury Queen Room which was accessed via a private outdoor staircase on the first floor. It looked out over Calle Jose Maria Pino Suarez which proved to be a quiet street. We had a Juliet balcony above the hotel entrance. The room was plenty big enough and had a really good bathroom with a wonderful view onto the private garden below. There was a large corridor between the bedroom and the bathroom. The hotel reception staff were wonderfully friendly, ditto the breakfast server. The breakfast was excellent. The wifi was good and allowed us to check emails and listen to Radio Caroline's internet broadcasts. The garden complex was huge and we never saw anybody else in it. Indeed, the hotel was very quiet. There was a wonderful honesty bar in a garden room that we made use of in late afternoons and after retiring from dinners. The Tikua restaurant next door is very good.
It was all perfect!

The property is a diamond behind an impressive wall in the heart of the city. The staff, location and service where the best?!

Excellent and unique location. In town and in walking distance of historic city centre.
Hotel and rooms are very quiet as they are located in several inner courtyards. Rooms are very spacious, nicely and individually decorated. Very friendly and helpful staff.

I have been curious about Querertaro for a while as I have never been beyond the airport when in route to San Miguel Allende. So, after spending 5 days in SMA, I decided that I would spend my last 2 days in QRO. It is a lovely town and I would go again especially now that I feel like I have a bit more knowledge about its layout and such!
La Casa del Atrio was a great location and this made it easy to explore and wander about. I was travleing alone and I felt safe.
Many others have mentioned the breakfast and now I know why! It was delcious but what I loved is that you have several great options to choose from. This is a served breakfast and not a buffet. I am still leary of buffets in the days of covid.
The hotel has a great spa and I took advantage of its services. I had a one hour massgage, a 30 minute foot massage and a facial for equivlent of $135.00 US Dollars.
I would recomend this hotel whne looking for a place in ORO.

Very beautiful property. This is the second time we have stayed here. This time, there was someone smoking in the courtyard outside my parent’s room and it smelled up the room. Our bathroom smelled a bit like cigar. This absolutely didn’t happen the first time we stayed so it might be a fluke. Everything else is great especially the staff and the breakfasts!

We stayed at La Casa del Atrio for one night - Dia de los Muertos - between a wedding in San Miguel and flying back to the US on a very early flight. The hotel is a wonderful find, a central, charming, boutique hotel in the center of Queretaro. Perfect for walking around the old city center, seeing museums and churches, and wandering through the street party during the Dia de los Muertos festivities: close enough to be part of it just outside the door, yet quiet, calm and lovely inside. The friendly, helpful staff arranged great airport transport and had take-away breakfast ready for us at 3 am - though we wished we could have stayed longer. Beautiful courtyard, garden feel in the heart of the city.

Location is terrific. My second time staying here and they know exactly what they are doing! Bed was very comfortable.
The only downside is there is no parking and there was nobody available to assist me with my luggage when I arrived, I did arrive later than planned, it was 7:30 PM +/-

The included breakfast was really exceptional and included choices of a variety of Mexican egg specialties, fresh cut melon, papaya, and pineapple, different types of coffee cake/bread (banana bread one day), fresh juice options, and fresh coffee.
The people who work there are very friendly and helpful. They even let us keep a restaurant left-over item in their fridge overnight! Our room was #6, and was very comfortable, with a king-size bed, huge shower, AC, large screen TV, ceiling fan, desk, and dresser. The toilet room was separate from the main bathroom area.
The facility has a number of courtyard areas with lots of plantings - very lush. We sat outside and played cards in the covered courtyard right outside our door...
The hotel also displays and sells antiques, and there are also antiques in some of the bedrooms.
The location is right in the historic center, with easy walking to many museums and places to visit. We were there during the Independence Day celebrations (Sept. 15-16), and although there were lots of crowds and activities, including fireworks, nearby, our room was quiet enough.
The hot water took a while to heat up and would run out if the shower was too long, but that was a minor thing.

PERFECT LOCATION. Plenty available nearby.
This is not a boutique hotel. You can't simply place that word in the title and make it a real boutique hotel. It was dirty, almost no water pressure, torn and tattered furniture. It looks nothing like the photos on their website. This is bait and switch.
