Easy stay with subpar bathrooms!

Friendly staff, great location, and good value price-wise

They seriously need to overhaul the bathrooms, they are the kind where the toilet, sink, and shower are all in the same little area, and it makes for a very wet time

Cheap and cheerful.

Good location to hit off exploring Lyon, room was typical French, small. The bathroom could also have done with being a little larger. As was travelling on my own room size was okay. Front of desk staff were always very helpful.

Great value with wonderful staff

Lovely welcoming staff (especially Lauris who couldn't have been more helpful). The room was clean (spotless bedding). 5 minutes walk from centre. Overall, very good value.

No coffee/ tea facilities in room came as a surprise.

Great value, comfortable and well run.

Great staff and a well run hotel. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Rooms were compact but set up with the traveller in mind. The Bistro George opposite offers good value meals in a character setting with polished staff. Overall a good choice for a short stay at a good price.

A little gem, close to the station!

Excellent location. Three minutes' walk from Lyon Perrache train station. 20 minutes' walk to town centre. Brasserie Georges just around the corner. Friendly staff. Clean rooms. Good breakfast. Small single room, but with everything one needs, including full length mirror and hair dryer!

Decent place for a single person. A bit small and can be noisy.

It's very close to the train station. The hotel is clean and cute and the staff friendly.

The room was noisy as the windows open on a busy street. The bathroom is really tiny and could impact movement for tall people.

As would be expected

Nice room, very firm bed if you like that, high pillows, small pod bathroom (big enough if your less than 180cm and small/ medium build). Has an elevator and 24 hour staff. room was quiet.

The hotel was very central and had great excess to the bus terminal and garage

The room was tinny and had no AC, which was unbearable, with temperatures of over 30C outside! The room wasn't cleaned properly (found tablets on the floor from the previous (?) Guests.

Convenient location, good value for money

Toilet and shower are so close your feet are in the shower when sitting down, so be careful for wet feet.

Disappointing

Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Provided a nice breakfast in the morning with fresh pancakes and pastries. Wifi worked well. Provided fans in the rooms to compensate for the heat and no air conditioning.

Very tiny bathrooms that are a combo shower and toilet, which I didn't realize from the reviews and photos. Was not a comfortable experience to use. However, the main issue was the fire alarm went off on 3 separate occasions in the middle of th enight at around 01:00, 02:00 and 02:30. They went off for an extended period of time and were quite unpleasant to experience as we had to leave our rooms each time. When I asked the front desk staff working he stated the reason for the fire alarm was because someone was smoking in their room. No acknowledgement or compensation has been offered from the hotel for this disturbance.

It had a lift for luggage that was nice. It was also tidy, and they came in a cleaned the room while we were there. The staff was great.

There is no air conditioning, and it was in the eighties while we were there so the room was very stifling. They could improve on this by having fans in the room.

Superb

Very friendly, pleasant and helpful staff. Good choice for breakfast and ample buffet service. Room and bathroom are compact, but perfectly manageable and clean. A quirky train/Orient Express style to the hotel gives it some character. Very close to Perrache Station with good transport links into town and beyond. Very reasonable price and definitely recommended.

Nice place

We only stayed one night, yet we enjoyed our stay. Everything was simple though functional and clean. We arrived late; however, the checkout went smoothly with a lovely gentleman speaking English for my partner. The location is excellent, near cafés, restaurants and public transportation.

The room is a bit pricy considering the size of the room.

Great value. Great location by Perrache station and opposite the Brasserie Georges. Friendly staff. Decent size room. Comfortable enough bed. Decent WiFi.

The tiny and slow lift is overworked. The tiny bathroom is essentially the same as in train sleeping compartiments. That said it was clean and functional. The room has quite a musty smell.

Very good - small bathroom

Super nice staff in reception, ready to help with anything. Good value for money. Very clean. Good breakfast. Good location very close to metro (You only need to take the metro and change to a tram to go to the airport). Walking distance to the old town and to the shopping area.

Bathroom is a cubicle, so if you have a shower and then need to use the toilet, you'll end up with wet feet. That's the only con. If you're fine with this, then I would recommend the hotel.

the staff. Absolutely everyone was nice, polite, adorable and concerned with the guests.

The bedroom disposition, very different from the pictures, no trash in bedroom(there wasn’t space for one, but having a bin near the toilet too would be a good thing). I’m allergic to carpets unless extremely well clean. It was not the case, I barely slept during my stay.

The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was good.

The room was incredibly small even if we requested a bigger room and they also needed an extra amount of money for guarantee and that wasn't mentioned in the booking. The bathroom was also very very small, so overall way too expensive for the room quality.
