It is warm outside, this hotel is most perfect - just a couple minutes from the Cathedral!!

The location - which was within direct sight of the cathedral - was most amazing. the breakfast (it did cost 12 euros a piect) was out of this world. It was so over-the-top of any breakfast we've ever had!!

Sorry about this - after all the liked about this hotel - the room and bathroom were heated by hot water heated radiators, but were not turned on until dinner time, and turned off by breakfast time. I understand the need to conserve electricity, etc. But, it was really cold outside (around 0 degree C.) and raining. We arrived totally frozen from having visited the cathedral (of course was not heated!) - but we arrived at the room and had nothing to get warm with !

Great location, disappointing room and breakfast.

Great location, very central.

Room did not live up to the images shown on the site. Simple things were missing, like a chest of drawers and no milk for the coffee. The breakfast was below par. Fruit had seen better days and the water in the urn was lukewarm.

For 10 or 20 more euros per night you can get a far better hotel in Rouen

Central location though hellish noisy on street side where we were. Nice building from outside. Comfortable bed and good water pressure although slightly bizarre, old, cracked shower. TV worked. Kettle and tea bags good.

Our room bore no relation to any of those photographed. Ancient carpet and basic decor. Altogether charmless. Clean but felt grotty. Certainly no beams or wood flooring in sight. Carpet felt unpleasant and whole place in desperate need of an upgrade. Bad lighting and had to pull out bed to get to plugs. Noisy on street side with many loud groups of partygoers. 90 Euros without breakfast didn’t feel like a bargain particularly although not expensive. I think they should show more honest room pics. Sorry we didn’t take any except one if the tv! If you book this hotel take care to ask for a picture of the actual room and for information on where it is located as clearly they have much better rooms available than the one we were in.

Very helpful staff. Brilliant location: just around the corner from the cathedral and lots of fab cafes and restaurants.

Only one socket in the room we were allocated. And the fridge and kettle were plugged into it leaving nowhere to charge phones etc. The receptionist found us another room that was more suitable and also had a nice view of the courtyard.

Very convenient location for the town and good for getting in and out of Rouen with car

Everything looking a little tired, not quite as the photos looked in the site. Rooms were comfortable but one of the rooms was a very strange layout. Had to walk through the bathroom to get to the bedroom, not ideal!

Location is amazing but you are staying in a historical building right in the middle of the historic centre of the city .

The old building impacts the hotel’s facilities . The room was a good size and comfortable . The pictures from booking.com did not quite match the rooms we stayed in which was a minor disappointment.

The staff were really helpful and friendly. The hotel was in a wonderful historic building in a perfect location right next to the cathedral. We loved the quirkiness of the building and our room. The breakfast was really lovely, good choice and all fresh produce served in a beautiful dining room.

The location of this hotel is excellent, within an easy walking distance of the many sites in the city, near restaurants and shopping.

The WiFi was weak. The electricity went out one evening for about an hour, fixed but the wifi didn’t work. We notified the main desk but it wasn’t fixed before we left the next morning.

This hotel is in a fantastic location in the centre of Rouen adjacent to the cathedral. Our room was quirky with a view over the courtyard and the cathedral. The buffet style breakfast was good value.

We were unable to adjust the heating which was provided by a huge cast iron radiator. We had to sleep with the double doors to the balcony open in order to be comfortable. We parked at Hotel De Ville which is several blocks away but easily accessible. If travelling by car you need to be aware of the requirement for a Crit'Air sticker. From application this can take several weeks to arrive.

Charming city centre hotel

Very pleasant, smiling staff member. Greeted us very politely and warmly. She let us know the times for breakfast and made welcome suggestions about restaurants for dinner. Perfect location in the old town right beside the cathedral. Slept all night in a very comfortable bed. Nice and quiet at night in the heart of Rouen city. Room was spotlessly clean, with pretty finishing touches. Have stayed once before and will definitely be returning.

The location was possibly one of the best in the city, located at the end of the center of town. It made the walk-through linear and easy. The room itself had plenty of space. As I was leaving the gentleman asked if I had the breakfast, I said I did not because I woke up late. He still gave me a croissant anyway and said no morning in France should start without one. Excellent gesture from the lad!

The walls were somewhat thin but nothing that caused any real issues.
