Central location and very friendly staff
No parking on site but car park short distance away.

Conveniently located very close to the blablacar bus drop off location and the cathedral. The decor was fresh and novel. I was surprised at how nice the hotel was. The breakfast was wonderful. A machine squeezed fresh orange juice on the spot. The croissants were perfect. We were able to boil our own eggs.
My husband said he saw a mouse!

Great breakfast and pleasant room.
Room could be warmer and lift is terribly small
6.0 / 10.0
Good location, with Ibis you probably know what you’re going to get. Nothing extra special but nothing too terrible as well.
Very tiny for 4 people in one room, the area itself was so-so, but walkable to the very centre.

Great location, friendly staff and excellent value for money.
Beds weren’t the comfiest

i am answering the survey because this is the only way I can submit my comments, but this is more an evaluation for Booking more than the hotel. We received confirmation from Booking that our reservation was confirmed and when we arrived we were told that they didn't have rooms available and that there weren't any in all Normandy. We slept on our car at a gas station that night. When we arrived at the hotel the gentleman on the front desk showed us a list of all the reservations that were overbooked by bookings system and there were two or three people sleeping at the hotel's lobby.

Absolutely Fantastic Stay – A Hidden Gem in the Heart of Rouen!
From the moment I arrived at the Ibis Styles Rouen Centre Cathédrale, I was impressed. The location is unbeatable – right by the stunning cathedral, and my room had jaw-dropping views that felt like something out of a postcard. Waking up to the sight of those gothic spires was magical.
The room itself was spotless, modern, and surprisingly spacious for a city centre hotel. Super comfy bed, great shower, and everything I needed for a relaxing stay.
But the real showstopper? The breakfast buffet. Wow. A delicious spread of fresh pastries, crusty breads, cheeses, eggs, fruit, and even some regional treats – all beautifully presented and constantly replenished. It was one of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve had in a long time.
The staff were friendly, helpful, and made everything easy – from check-in to tips on where to go in the city. Can’t recommend it enough – whether you're passing through or staying a few nights, this place is a brilliant base for exploring Rouen. Will definitely be back!

The breakfast was excellent. Plenty of choice; ample quantities; well organised (capable of handling a sudden influx of, at a guess 20mor 30 hungry guests who all arrived at the same time.
No parking at the hotel, It would have been simple and effective to send an email telling guests where to park, and how much it would cost.
The room was very small.
No mugs/glasses in the room for teeth cleaning, etc
Impossible to close the room door quietly, so we heard a loud "bang" every time someone entered or left a neighbouring room.
Only one accessible electric socket for charging phones, laptops etc.
A towel shelf at head level at head level, so you banged your head every time you went for a pee in the night.
Overpriced.
Absolute and total lack of syle anywhere in or around the building

Friendly staff. Clean bedrooms. Great breakfast with chatty staff. Easy access to bedrooms and breakfast room.
Traffic and people in bar downstairs noisy but not over powering.

Caring and helpful staff, Happy to chat. We felt welcome. Breakfast was better than most and all freshly baked with fresh orange juice and good quality jams and museli. Clean premises and room. Lift for convenience. Great location.
Bedroom was too hot, especially at night. Because we were near a major junction it meant a lot of noise most of the night having the window open. Difficulty in sleeping well.

Close to cathedral.
Almost inaccessible because of road works and no advance warning from hotel.

Breakfast service was good. The location was also good.
The room was ok, very big, but lacking furniture items. The floor where the room was located was in restoration, so there was a lot of noise and dust. Also the energy was cut twice.

The room was dirty very small and the drain in the bathroom smelled very bad, we could not enter the bathroom because of the smell. Τhe view from the balcony and the bed was good.
At breakfast we found unwashed dishes.
We had planned to stay 2 nights but we stayed only one night.
Τhe smell of the drain, the cleanliness, the size of the room and the breakfast!

Rooms were comfortable for a family of four and the buffet breakfast had plenty to choose from, kids loved it.
Bathroom was tired and clearly have not moved the furniture to vacuum.

Great location
No Parking at the hotel but parking nearby a short walk but expensive for overnight.
4.0 / 10.0
Our room was located overlooking the square, it was very noisy during the night with kids arguing and playing music in cars, revving motorcycles until 2-3 am which meant we had very little sleep which was not ideal for our onward journey. The restaurant in the morning was very busy more seating in busy periods would be better.

Central in the city, clean comfortable rooms

Hotel was ok, also clean, but building is quite old and a bit worn down. It needs renovating. Compared to other IBIS Styles where I stayed, it was slightly disappointing, though not bad.

It is walking distance to the centre
Quite grotty immediate area, expensive car parking, plastic and cheap appearance

The location was good. The breakfast was a treat. Quirky 80’s design. For one night it was ok.
The bathroom was the size of a stamp. And lacking some cups or water bottles. One power point. There was no space left in the cathedral parking.

Very good location on edge of the historical centre of Rouen. A city car park is just a couple of minutes walk behind the hotel, cost April 2023 €16.50 a day, but it's a one way street system so use a GPS to get there! Rooms and bathrooms quite small but but had everything needed for an overnight stay. Excellent glazing so traffic noise did not disturb sleep. Reception staff helpful. Hotel responded within hours to a special request.
Lift only big enough for one person with bags, but at least there was a lift.

The breakfast was nice, continental, tea coffee, fresh squeezed orange juice, plenty of choice. Centre of town, all sorts around..
The shower was cold.. or very like warm, for a family who have been travelling and needed a decent shower it was poor! The room was definitely compact.. sofa bed not in the best place for children as it has a shelf low down that my child bumped her Head on a few times during the night before changing beds..

Breakfast was fine. Location very central to everything. Attitude of the French people.
The lift is tiny!!
5.0 / 10.0
the location is exceptional if you want to visit Rouen city centre.
the staff is helpful and friendly; very pleasant
No car Park: I had to park in a public car park and was obviously charged (16 euro per day)
The size of the room
The bathroom: I could not open the door fully: the toilet was blocking the access!
Although clean, the room and bathroom are very outdated (paint/carpet etc...)
The breakfast is basic for an Ibis Style
7.0 / 10.0
I think the colorful decoration is not matching well with the experience you have as a visitor of the town. There is huge contradiction there that I couldn't get used to.
4.0 / 10.0
Nice Staff and normal Ibis Breakfast which was good…
The fabric of the building was very outdated and really quite uncomfortable.
8.0 / 10.0
The location is near the Cathedral and old centre. The parking (Cathedral) is nearby and the room with view on the Seine had all we needed for a short stay.
the weather ;-)
