Very convenient location. The facilities were clean and the staff was very helpful and friendly.

Very comfortable and the staff was prompt and friendly.

We promptly was offered a new room after we discovered that our booked room had many flies in it. The new room was comfortable and clean. Also, the breakfast was really good and there were staff to help out with the coffee machine. The sfaff was very polite.

Very good stay

Staff was good, meet all the expectations. They were friendly and helped every way. They even packed our breakfast as we had to leave early. The location of the hotel was apt specially with a 4 year old daughter

Family hotel with spacious room close to the station

We stained there for the carnival: it was hence the perfect location, close to the station and the start of the parade. The room was very spacious, the breakfast buffet had plenty of vegetarian choices.

The hotel is very close to the main station and easy to find. The breakfast was good with reasonable choices. The staff were friendly.

The bedroom was very plain, no pictures or any decoration to cheer it up. The corridor was the same. It felt very dirty. Others have mentioned the noise of the crows and pigeons which are unavoidable. The bathroom looked pleasant but the shower doors did not hold in any of the water which went all over the bathroom floor. The bed was uncomfortable. The lighting in the room was harsh and not welcoming.

Very nice and central

Very central, right across the main train/bus station. Restaurants, supermarkets and tram outside the door. We had a triple room that was very large, airy and had 3 proper beds. Great selection at breakfast! Plenty of choice hot or cold. Great selection of coffees and teas, fresh fruit, vegan options and beautifully buttery scrambled eggs! Lovely friendly staff at reception too!

Because it is so convenient and central it is also a bit noisy. We were there at a hot night and kept the window open for air. Otherwise the windows would have been quite sound proof.

Value for money at the hub of public transport.

Its a old building almost at the hub of Hbf/Bus station. Waling distance from old town and midst of restaurants and other eateries. Good size room, good wifi and quality breakfast (not lavish, as you get what you pay for). No complains as such

Location excellent, pavement cafe at front of hotel was wonderful (why are we so bad at this in Britain?), breakfast good, room was comfortable and very clean.

Bathroom a bit small, sewer smells outside the back of hotel meant that I had to close the windows.

First time in Mainz and it was amazing. The Hotel and Staff were excellent.

The hotel was very nice. The room for three people was well appointed and it had everything that we needed. The location was very nice. Though it was located close to the Main Train-station of Mainz the room, which faced the train station was still very quiet. We all had good night sleep there. The breakfast was nice and the hotel provided us a list of what we could order, and the staff would bring us what we ordered. The breakfast was very nice and the dining room was immaculate. The hotel also has a restaurant located within it.

There is nothing that comes to mind. Everyone at the hotel provided us with lots of information of what we could see and do.

Another great stay at this family-owned hotel. Konigshof is convenient, comfortable, and well-run with a good breakfast. It's exactly the kind of place I like to stay at in Europe - family owned with a warm, friendly staff who remembered us as we came and went from the hotel. Details: the bed is really comfortable and our room (408) was quiet. People were watching a lively soccer game outside and once we closed the windows, it was silent in our room. Breakfast was outside (covid) and was very good and fast with a wide variety of choices. Excellent pot of coffee! We had an early flight from Frankfurt and breakfast starts at 6:30. The hotel location is so convenient, just across the street from the train station. In some cities that means it's not a nice area but that isn't the case in Mainz. It's a great place to stay.
