It was pleasent stay at intercity hotel Mainz. Location is great and easy to move in the city.

The stay was pleasant, despite a few inconveniences

The hotel is very nice and the location was excellent and very convenient for the place I needed to reach. It made moving around easy and stress-free.

Unfortunately, there was no hot water for the shower at around 11 p.m., which was quite uncomfortable. In addition, the dinner service that was said to be available was not actually provided at 20.00 p.m..

The hotel is very well laid out and clean.

The AC didn't cool that well and it was too noisy outside and raining, so leaving the window open was not practical. Through no fault of the hotel, the major construction nearby makes the location a bit less desirable at this time.

Exactly as described on Booking. It worked well for what we needed!

Very conveniently lo located to our car rental return company(Sixt) literally right next door. Kiosk for self check in was very convenient and worked well. Room was very basic but exactly as expected and was clean. A little noisy right on the busy street but with windows closed and drapes pulled it wasn’t bad - slept just fine. And air conditioning worked very well.

Really great staff, super friendly and attentive. Really nice modern hotel with good sized rooms and modern fittings.

The walk from the Hauptbahnhof was slightly further than expected and was a little bit complicated. It would have been helpful to have signs in the railway station to identify which way it was.

Decent business-style hotel

Perfectly decent business-style hotel. Good-sized desk for working. friendly staff and a bar. Very close to a great bar, Onkel Willys.

Room decor felt tired and dated and the shower gel dispenser in the bathroom had been left empty. While the hotel is very close to the station, it is situated on a very unpleasant and busy road junction which takes some time to cross.

Good value, no hassle stay, would recommend especially for those on the job

The hotel is very well located, only a few minutes walk from Mainz train station (Hbf). Be sure to take the West exit, which is the closest. The hotel is also just in front a bus/tram stop that allow you to get to the university in under 10 minutes. I was there for a conference and had to stay in my room for almost the whole trip. The room was comfortable enough to do so and Internet good enough to have long Zoom conference calls without issue. The breakfast buffet was also very convenient to save time, and had a wide selection.

Though convenient, the breakfast buffet was a bit pricey, especially given my home currency.

Awful exp with Housekeeping, Location was great

over my stay I had to ask for housekeeping for my room and they lied to me saying that housekeeping found “do not distrub” sign hanging outside of my door which wasn’t the case as I didn’t put that sign out. 3rd day I had to call the receptionist to complain about housekeeping and refreshment in the room. 4th day I walked down to receptionist to complain about housekeeping as it wasn’t done again and receptionist offered me the bed cover to do it by myself, if I had to do my housekeeping in hotel why and what I paid the money for? when asked the receptionist the same question he said this is the best he can offer me to do my own housekeeping by myself. I took some pics of the bed where you can see hair and squashi bed cover Also they charged me extra money for my stay as per my bill and bank statement which is absolutely wrong thing to do, they should have informed me for any extra charges being applied to me.

Not what you would expect for a 4-star hotel at all!

The location is very excellent considering it's near the train station and the right next to the tram stops. The staff are nice. The check-in and check-out processes were very smooth. The furniture was nice. The view was also good. There is a fridge and an air conditioner that can work automatically. There was a small set for the shower like a hair net, a mini set for knitting, and some cotton pads. There was also a 3-in-1 hair, face, and body wash gel. The lighting is good although the bathroom could be brighter. The room door is locked as soon as you close it because it works with a card instead of a key.

I don't know why and how this hotel got 4 stars. Considering the high price of a single room, it's not worth it at all. First, the shower doesn't have a warm water no matter how much I turn down the knob downwards to the hot water level. It only has a lukewarm water. And the water keeps changing on its own from cool to warm and vice versa while showing. Second, the housekeeper knocks on and opens the door immediately if you don't answer within seconds of her knocking. What if we want some privacy or I was changing my clothes at the moment she comes in? This is not acceptable, especially considering the fact that there are no "please don't disturb" tags that we can hang on the door from the outside to keep the housekeeper from entering the place. A housekeeper should not come in any room uninvited. I was asleep once when she came in and when she knocked on the door, I woke up, thus disrupting my sleep although she apologized immediately and closed the door again. But what is done is done. It cannot be undone. Third, the room was dusty and hairy under the table when I first checked in and entered the room. And the toilet was dirty from within while the toilet rolls seemed to have been used before. What was very unacceptable for a 4-star hotel and for a room with a 307-euro for a 3-night stay was the fact that there were mould spots all over the shower cabin from the ground up. I couldn't even take longer looks at it. Finally, the soap dispenser is very difficult to deal with as it only dispenses soap when both of your hands press on and squeeze hard to get the soap out. This is not practical at all and is not suitable for the disabled who have one arm only.
