Lovely option near a train station

Very close to a train station (within a walking distance). The staff are very nice and helpful. Free street parking (subject availability) as well as paid parking in the yard.

Good enough for one night stay

Can't say about the location as it was only on our way to next-leg of journey. Rooms were okay, or should I say, small, but clean and tidy. Staff was pleasant. Late checking in wasn't a problem either.

Didn't like the fact that I had to pay €15 for parking overnight (it was already stated though). Free parking was available just beside the hotel. Breakfast didn't feel worth €17/person but it was just convenient to grab in the restaurant below. Overall, the price could have been better.

A nice hotel with a particular nitch of design that may turn some people off.

Breakfast was great, as was most of the staff. The location is close to the train station, but awkward from our perspective.

You have to walk through a dark tunnel unless you want to walk across a busy huge intersection that adds almost ten minutes to your walk. The decor was not to our taste at all, but obviously fits the bill for others.

Great location and price. Walkable to the train station. Good sized rooms with comfortable bathrooms. Our room was quiet and relaxing with a decently sized room safe

They are a victim of their own success. The lines to check-in are long and slow moving. The front desk clerks seem to spend a long time reading and clicking keys. I suspect their software could be improved. It was hard to get a hello or a smile from the cleaning staff. On our last day we gave up waiting to have our room cleaned at 16:30 and grabbed fresh towels from them. On Saturday we went to the front desk for a glass of wine. She told us she'd be with us shortly. We gave up after 20 minutes seeing she was slammed with customers. We've stayed here several times over the years and it wasn't quite as quirky nor charming.

COM, I've sent you a message via email and no one has responded... You took my £20 credit off my. Account... Not happy about this..... I want it back...

Location....... My. Sat nav.. Took me to a. Main road which u cudnt access via foot....... This was going out of the bac of the train station..... Coming out the front.... Didn't point me. To go under a subway.... It took over an hour or more to get to hotel on foot.... Going round the back of the station..

Very close to the train station, so you can reach the hotel on foot quite quickly. Friendly person at the reception.

There is a smelly carpet on the floors of all corridors and rooms. Together with a non/hardly functioning aircondition this provides for real bad air quality (room windows can only partially be opened).

The location was a little out of town but a manageable walk. Rooms comfortable and well decorated with everything you needed for a nights stay. Great lock up for bikes.

Our go to place in Mainz

We always stay here when we are in the Mainz area. The price to quality works for our budget plus we like the feel of the place. Good wifi, comfortable bed and a decently sized room.

You need to download an app or have a Chromecast device to stream. I'd prefer if the television had some preloaded apps like Netflix and YouTube.

Good hotel a bit too far from the center and too late check in

Price performance was good

The aircon did not work or at least did not cool down the room. I saw other posts therefore it seems a permanent problem. And I wanted to check in at 2 pm but it is only possible at 3pm - rather late. The staff used the excuse the system does not allow an earlier check-in. I hate system excuses since the system was programmed according to the hotel's specifications. It is a conscious decision of the management not to allow earlier check-in. Not consumer-orientated at all. So be honest.

Breakfast good, room very clean. Perfect for a one night stopover, not far from station but see comment below. Quirky decor.

Clear instructions on how to walk from the railway station to the hotel would have been very useful. We exited the railway station on the same side as the hotel but then found it difficult to walk straight there. What we later discovered was that we should have exited the station on the opposite side to the hotel, turned left, walked under an underpass and then turned right for the hotel, less than 10 minutes walk. Had we known this in advance it would have saved us going the wrong way.

Great location for trains/buses etc

Reception staff were the rudest people I’ve ever dealt with, they shouldn’t be working in a front of house position. The rooms were borderline too hot to sleep & no fan’s available. Hairdryer in room wasn’t working either.
