Perfect for a quick stay in & out of train station.

Perfect location right by train station. Big room for 3 people. Clean. Pleasant. Provided 3 bottles of water. Quiet.

No a/c or fan; no coffee in room. Bathroom has a frosted glass pocket door so no soundproofing or complete visual privacy.

Avoid if possible

I liked the Older Gentleman who spoke both English and German and was nice but the services and everything outside of that was Horrible.

Not sound proof. The rooms advertised isn't what you get. You get a room smaller with horrible views, no refrigerator, both moldy, and dirty bathrooms, no Air conditioning, the "queen" sized bed was just two twin sized bed next to each other. The whole hotel experience was bad and frustrating

I am sure that I will not book another stay at this place.

Breakfast was neatly prepared and there was more fresh fruit than usual. The person who did the service was very diligent and careful in her job.

The wallpaper is peeling off the wall at the upper edge of the wall of my room which looks very ugly. Two days in a row the towels in my room were not clean (stains). My reclamation was immediately accepted and the towels were changed, but as it happened twice I felt very uncomfortable. I stayed four nights and the bed linen had not been changed. For the first night there was a small bottle of water, but no water provided the following nights. I would have liked a facility for making tea or coffee in the room since the reception closes at 9pm. The walls are very bad isolated so I could enjoy my neighbor's snoring as well as everybody using the staircase. There was a pretty noisy group of young people one night, and since there is nobody on duty at the reception after 9pm there is no chance for intervention.

For one night it was good.

Location was good, because I needed to continue my travel via train. Breakfast was nice but a bit prizy.

I had trouble connecting to the internet, because I didn't get the option for schottenhof. There were 2 other wifi options but none were from the hotel.

Comfortable, clean place in a very convenient location.

Kind, helpful staff throughout the visit. Great location for exploring Old Town, Rhein bank, and travelling by train (station 2 minutes away) to towns in the region and Frankfurt airport. A bit of traffic noise in the morning, but not that noticeable. All facilities clean, modern, in good condition. Excellent shower, lots of room.

Good hotel

Simple, uncomplicated, clean. The hotel stands just a couple minute walk from the Mainz Hbf, surrounded by restaurants and bars, and supermarkets. But you wouldn't be disturbed by the noises from the outside. Well maintained good old hotel. I'll come back again (this was my second stay!).

If there were a litter can in the bedroom, it would be much better. Also, if there were a fridge, it'd make it perfect.

The rooms on the photos look very nice and modern. Unfortunately our room was not modernised. It was OK, but not like the photos. So we were a little disappointed.

Very good check in/ check out; security code provided for late entry to the building; convenient elevator; very clean and perfectly comfortable single room; great location by the train station, and a pleasant walk into town with loads of restaurants, pubs, and shopping along the way (or a simple, short bus ride).

3 days in Mainz

Lovely big room, double glazed opening windows, comfortable bed, adjacent train station but also an enjoyable walk to the old town city centre, Gutenberg museum etc.. Nice breakfast at reasonable price. Staff helpful. The red stone public buildings and charming painted house and shop facades in the old town plus new and old sculptures are interesting.

Pathetic customer service. Would never recommend this hotel

Most was good apart from customer service from the owner of the hotel. Very rude man!

I requested for a late checkout, which was kindly granted by the gentleman at the reception only to be rudely evicted by the owner of the hotel saying the room was needed. I have never experienced such rude behaviour anywhere in the world before.
