Good location for our planed activities, but at times a little intimidating ( glad my wife wasn’t by herself)

Karaoke night. As a hotel above a bar/cafe that’s open til midnight, sleep ( you had better be tired) because it is noisy there. For once I wished we were on the top floor ( stairs, no problem ) to possibly escape some noise

Ok for one night

The bed was comfortable and our room was acceptably clean. The hotel is very close to the station with its good transport links

It was hard to find the way into the hotel, the front door isn’t labelled. The bedclothes are a sheet, blanket and bedspread - we would have preferred a duvet. The room was cold and the heating was not on. The area is ok during the day, but probably not a place for being out on your own at night

Great value for Luxembourg, and close to the central station. Would I stay here again? Yes.

Nowhere near as bad as some here say. Granted, I have been to this road before (the Ibis Styles next door), so I know it can be rather “interesting” - especially at night. However, I was travelling on my own and never felt unsafe. The room was clearly newly refurbished and was very clean. The lady who gave me the key at the bar downstairs was very friendly and welcoming.

Yes, the road outside is loud at night (though I knew this would be the case as I’ve stayed on this road before). Grab a few beers and you’ll sleep fine.

Be ready to sleep very poorly for the cheap price.

Good value for money, close to the train station. Rooms were much cleaner than expected and with no strong cigarette smell.

Sketchy location, would not recommend for solo travellers. Incredibly loud street and room-shaking music until 2am. No additional amenities in room (microwave, fridge, etc.). Some of the worst sleep I’ve have in a long time.

The worse experience ever. The hotel is above a bar that stays open until early morning. The music is so loud that it shakes your bed and it is impossible to sleep until they close and leave the place between 1 am/2am. We left the place tired, as we could hardly sleep for two nights! We were really happy to have left this place! People smoke everywhere in the bar, so the room stinks cigarettes, you can not leave the window open as the smoke come right inside your room from people smoking and seating outside, and even with the window closed, the smell travels via vents and corridor of the building stinking everywhere. The room and bathroom are ok, you can see it has been refurbished! The clean needs to be improved as there were women hair on the duvet and on the bathroom floor. The mattress is comfortable but the pillows feel like you are resting your head over a rock! The location is convenient to access the main train station, but the area is full of junkies and drunk people. It is an area with many bars and sex clubs! When we were leaving the “hotel” this homeless guy who looked like was under the effect of drugs run towards us calling us names, insulting us and threatening us, for nothing, I have no idea why he did it, so we just kept walking away from him but watching our back. It felt it was not really a hotel, there is no reception as for you to get access to it you need to go to the bar to get a code to access the main building and a key to access your room! So anyone can access the building unnoticed, as one of the days someone just walked in behind us, and I challenged the guy, so he showed me his key room.

Good location and clean little Hotel.

Luxembourg City is very expensive with regards accommodation. Hotel Zurich was one of the cheapest l found via Booking.Com and it was just what l needed. Secure rooms, clean and a good location right by the main Central Station.

The immediate vicinity is currently undergoing a upgrade, so there is a fair bit of fenced off works areas and Scaffolding on buildings. That is obviously only a temporary situation though and it will be nice when it's all finished.

Rooms on top of a nightclub.

The staff was great, which is why I feel bad leaving a bad review. The receptionists (i.e. the girls behind the bar downstairs) were nice, the cleaner cleaned the room very well. It's also very conveniently located in terms of proximity to the station, the old city and the beautiful valley.

The picture is deceptive...I didn't think much about the blurred sides and darkened ground floor until I revisited it to ask myself how I didn't realise while booking. The description says "The hotels pub Barbarella is a cosy place to enjoy a drink or snack during the day." This isn't the whole story....essentially, this hotel is just rooms on top of a bar/nightclub (a "discotheque" as the sign don't he facade say) scalled Barbarella. You actually have to go into the nightclub to get your key, and their luggage room is the dance floor. The floor outside of the room's windows is completely full of cigarettes. This is less of a big deal but again it's really shabby. Had I known this before, I would have been okay with it...the price was okay (compared to luxembourg....I paid like 85 euro a night which isn't exactly cheap for what this place is) and it was my choice to make. But it seems a bit of an omission on the part of the hotel not to mention it explicitly. Also, the area it's in is basically full of shady clubs and shady characters (i.e. people doing drugs on the street)...okay this bit I wouldn't really expect the hotel to mention, but it's good to know in case you are a woman travelling alone. Finally, the hot water on the showers takes about 5-10 minutes to arrive. the first time I figured it was just broken so I got under the cold water, and only realised my mistake when I got under the shower.

Loud music all night long

I couldn't find the entrance. In the end, the reception is the bar of a pub. The music in the pub is extremely loud and goes on all night long. So it is impossible to sleep

Surrounding area was seedy and loud. Room didn't have decent A/C so opening the window doesn't help much and there's violent groups fighting and arguing, possibly on drugs.

one of the WORST properties and worst place . it is entirely unsafe as a log of bad influence people are down , with Heavy noise and cigarette smoke coming in the rooms . We could not sleep for a min plus we felt UNSAFE. When you try calling the receptionist nobody picks.
