I would recommend this hotel.

Best location in Bern. All attractions are within a few minutes walk. It also has an Italian restaurant.

Parking is quite faraway.

Delightful older style hotel in great location

Location was perfect, in the old part of town down by the bridge over the river, and an easy taxi from the station though I could have caught the tram. The staff were so friendly and the young man on Reception was very patient with me when I had trouble with the key to unlock my door. Breakfast was beautifully served individually in their charming little restaurant. An older style hotel but very comfortable. Definitely recommend it if one does not need a lift. The stairs are steep but they carried my case up for me.

No lift but I knew about that in advance so was not a problem.

A gem right in the heart of Bern

Everything - the location was sensational, the staff were so kind and helpful, it is definitely worth grabbing a pizza in the restaurant and the room was bright and cozy.

The hot water flow in the shower was a bit inconsistent.

Convenient location .

Very Small rooms . No room to manoeuvre . All electrical points at inconvenient locations. No toiletries . No lift . Staircase is ahold with very high stairs causing pain in the knee joints while climbing upstairs to the room or going downstairs to the Reception . Breakfast items were also very less compared to the pricing .

Room had no A/C. We had 90 degree F weather and the room was hotter than outside. It was awful. We couldn't sleep. Our room was on the third floor. If you have any mobility issues, this is NOT the hotel for you. Plenty of stairs and no elevator

The reception is really helpful and friendly, give a good start of journey in Bern. Location is right next to the bus stop.

The building is kind historical so do not have elevator, if carrying huge luggage need to lift upstairs manually.

Traditional City Centre small Swiss Hotel with plenty of Character

Superb central location handy for all that Bern has to offer. Room was comfortable and well equipped, enough storage for a couple of nights and comfy beds. Good shower and bathroom facilities. Surprisingly quiet for a city centre location. Breakfast was good and included.

Nothing really but the second floor room without a lift was a bit of a struggle with heavy cases.

Too many stairs for this price.

We had stayed at the Nyedck before, and been very satisfied. Then we had a second-floor corner room with three windows. This time we were given a fourth-floor garret with a skylight. Note that the Nydeck has no lift and we are seniors. At least the staff was willing to take our case up and down the winding stairs. Everything in the room was worn. Cleanliness was not up to the usual Swiss standard

A room on a lower floor. A warning when booking that there is no lift, or a question concerning guests' ages, would have been helpful. Better cleaning.

The location was perfect, in the middle of the main street. Access to bars, restaurants and shops was excellent. The room was value for money, and beds were very comfortable. It was a no frills room but great value for money. Breakfast was included in the price and acceptable. Parking was very good, not too expensive and local.

Charming hotel in the best part of Oldtown and close to the green

I always like having breakfast at Hotel Nydeck and go for a stroll to see the bears who are right on the other side of the bridge, perfect spot if you want to stay in the oldtown but only want to be 2 minutes away from a beautiful green area.

Location great, but room too little and not 100% clean

Compared to other facilities in Bern, the price is lower so it was more affordable to us. They provided us with codes for public transport even before arriving to the hotel, so it was nice because we could use it from the station already. The location is perfect, right in the central street of the center of Bern and the public transport bus station is right in front of the hotel. They let us leave our luggage at the reception the day of our departure for free. The staff was very nice.

The room was really too small, we had a little space to walk around and the bed was accessible only from one side, not even from the bottom. The bathroom was small too, you couldn't move around much. Our bedding was a little dirty from previous stains, I want to think that they were cleaned anyways, but it wasn't a nice surprise.

It’s in the old city and easy to walk everywhere. it has very hot shower. I loved how the bar became the breakfast room in the mornings. On street parking was easy to find.
