The host met us at the property with the keys and showed us around and where everything was.
House is beautiful and comfortable and has everything you need across three floors.
There were even a few essentials provided including milk teabags and biscuits which was much appreciated after our long journey.
The house was very central so we walked from the station and could get everywhere we wanted to go on foot from where we stayed. Overall it was a perfect place to stay for a weekend away with friends 😀
No probs

I stayed in early October 2022 with 5 female friends. Location very good for getting to the sights around Bath. Property itself was beautifully furnished and decorated - equipment had been well thought about. Showers etc worked. Beds were comfortable and the views from the top floor bathroom across the valley were beautiful in the early autumn. Kitchen was very well equipped and we were about 7 minutes walk away from Waitrose. The housekeeper was extremely helpful and the house was very conveniently located. The walk from the railway station was probably about 15 minutes and partly uphill - although that was not a problem for us. I liked the first floor sitting room - it meant that we had a comfortable spot to chat away from the ground floor kitchen/diner. Lots of bathroom and WC provision in the house. with 2 shower/bathrooms and 1 en suite bedroom (I think - although I am not sure about the number of en suites). All in all very well designed within the limitations of a very old building with, I would assume, some planning restrictions as I believe is it Grade II listed. We found the house cold when we stayed and although the owners responded quickly to our concerns, and contractors attended the next day, it wasn't possible to get the heating problem fixed when we were there. We though this responsiveness was very commendable. There were fans - presumably to deal with the heat in the summer, but sadly no portable heater to ameliorate our problem.
Central Bath is very compact and it was about 7 minutes walk to the Assembly Rooms and Costume Museum (although this museum) is going to relocate shortly. About 10 to 15 minutes to the Roman Baths. We had asked if we could leave our bags earlier and met the housekeeper there who was very helpful. As we were a group of 6, it was helpful to have 3 keys so that we could do things separately, although we had a mass trip to the Roman Baths and stayed more than the average of 1.5 hours.
There was some street noise from passing traffic (about 5 to 6 pm) and pedestrians (especially late Saturday night/early Sunday morning). That is not the fault of the property though. To counter that, then the first floor sitting room was helpful. I'd forgotten to take some toiletries eg shower gel, but fortunately Waitrose came to the rescue. I think anyone with mobility problems would struggle with the stairs. Most of us took the train, but one of our number had to travel by car at the last moment and the nearest long term parking was at Charlotte Street which was probably about 15 mins away on foot. I think it was all residents' permits in the immediate area and so I am unsure whether it might have been possible to park near the house for, say up to half an hour to unload, which might be an issue for some people.

Laura sent warm, welcoming emails with very full directions and contact numbers and Charley made us very welcome, being in the house as pre arranged. Tea, coffee, milk and biscuits were also provided. A great beginning. The house was perfect for our party of six, spotlessly clean and spacious. Very much a quality place in the decor, furniture and fittings. The three floors suited us very well and people could distribute themselves as and when they wanted. An easy walk into the city. A parking permit was provided.
A steep side street made parking interesting but, once parked, we did not move the car for the duration of our stay, for fear of losing the spot. The toilet in the en suite bedroom on the top floor had a faulty flush throughout our stay. Charley did point this out on our arrival and come during our stay to try and fix it but it never worked very well and the toilet seat came off its fittings, becoming useless. Three floors might be a bit much for some people as the lounge areas are on the first floor above the kitchen.
