We enjoyed our stay, walking to all the main attractions and visiting relatives in the area.
Downstairs there were two comfortable bedrooms, perfect for my brother and I, and a bathroom with avery good shower. Upstairs was a well equipped kitchen and a comfortable sitting room. We arrived by train, it was easy walking distance from the station.

Lovely place to stay
Good size flat which was easy to find and the hosts were very quick to respond to messages and even popped round to sort out a beeping smoke alarm. Telly has iPlayer, netflix etc which was a bonus.

Stylish, comfortable and convenient
The accommodation was well situated a little over 1km walk from the train station, and only 700-800 metres from various city attractions. Supermarket 5 minutes away. All the fittings are nice quality and everything worked. The upstairs was light and bright and airy with high ceilings. The kitchen was well appointed - and lovely to find both ground coffee and teabags left for us. The large bedroom downstairs is very light and spacious with lots of cupboard space. There is a private garden off the bedroom, with a table and chairs - nice to sit out in good weather. The bathroom has a terrific shower! There is a comfortable sofa bed in the lounge. There is a folder in the lounge with lots of helpful information. It was nice to know that the owner had lived happily in the property and I think TLC showed in the style and functionality. The owner checked in with us the day after arrival to see if everything was OK, and we were impressed with this level of consideration.
It is worth being aware of a couple of things. Firstly, the bedrooms and bathroom are down a flight of quite steep stairs. Of course, stairs are pretty common for historic properties in the UK, but these really seemed very steep. Secondly, one bedroom is honestly much, much nicer than the other. The large bedroom has French doors to the garden (and the garden can only be accessed by going through the bedroom) and heaps of space. The other bedroom is half below street level, and the windows look out right onto the footpath, so my companion did not feel comfortable leaving the curtains open. There is no bedside table, no wardrobe, and barely room to keep the suitcase. It was quite an expensive property for us, so the disparity in the rooms was disappointing for the one who ended up in the small room. It's not something that would bother everyone, but if you know beforehand, you can decide how much it would matter and factor it in.

A great base for a weekend!
Very central location, but quiet at night. You can walk into town in less than ten minutes. Beautifully decorated living room. that was light and airy. Very well equipped kitchen.
The bedrooms downstairs were somewhat gloomy compared to the living room, and the decor added to that sense of 'darkness'. Rainfall shower wasn't working, so we made do with the handheld. Bring slippers if you don't like cold floors!

Would definitely recommend this property.
Ideal location for both town and transport. Really clean and well equipped. Host very helpful. Tea and coffee was a nice touch.
