Definitely recommended, good location and for good price :))

I liked the location of the property, which saved a lot of our time in order to explore Altstadt and all the tourist attractions nearby, and the Christmas Market is around 800m, that too through a good, welcoming, decorated walking street where you enjoy the Christmas vibes people give you moving around you. The bus stop was 200m away, so it was easy to reach the train station. The kitchen was cleaned and had almost everything we wanted, and we enjoyed cooking and having home meals rather than consuming processed foods. The supermarket was nearby (Billa was 200m away), and there were a lot of restaurants on the same street. The owner was kind to accept the early check-in request, and they were very active on WhatsApp to solve any queries I had. Do try different food in Christmas market and there is always a book street near train station where you get second hand books for just 6 leva, is you are a keen reader do check out that, you will love that.

I didnt like the cost of washing which was around 7 Leva per washing, people who prefer longer stays always consider washing, and its a bit higher that too without detergent. There are too many Cameras all around, i didnt like the ones just outside the WC and bathroom, or maybe it would be better to change the angle, everytime i go anywhere i had to remind myself there is a Camera all over.

A hostel in a small house in a back yard in the trendy Kapana area of Plovdiv. Good value. Beds have curtains. Free lockers.

The kitchen is a bit small. The showers and WC are in the same room. so it gets wet.

An actual house in a quiet backyard in Kapana area

A hostel located in a house in the backyard on a small street just off from the main Kapana pub streets and opposite the regional police station. On the upper floor, there are two rooms and two WCs with shower. On the slightly below ground floor, are the common kitchen room with appliances and another room. Beds have curtains for privacy. All doors open with code. It's clean but not spacious. You can do laundry for a fee.

There is practically no common room - the kitchen is too small for this. There are ants next to the sink - totally harmless in Bulgaria but still. The WCs are airplane size with shower which makes them wet most times.

I found the shared bathroom facilities to be disappointing. There were two combined toilet shower rooms that were cramped and dated, I did not feel clean using these.

Great stay- recommend

Great location and helpful staff with communication. We cycled there and could store our bikes safely. The facilities are great and there is everything you need there. A great little place.

I would avoid if possible - unclean, poor facilities, uncomfortable and very rude management.

The location was good.

The place was unclean (pubic hair on the bedding etc). The owner has a deal for long-term migrant workers staying and they take over the space, smoking and using the room bins as ashtrays so it smells, and then staying up through the night disturbing other guests. The bathrooms were cramped. The management was remote and rude when I tried to engage over WhatsApp, resorting to name calling and insults. Despite paying for 5 nights, I preferred to lose my money and left after 1 night. I moved to the Old Plovdiv hostel instead which was excellent.

Bad exp.

Location

Unfortunately it was not a good experience. The no reception was the main issue. I waited for the automatic message for an hour in the rain, noone picked the phone all this time. After an hour, i got a call to tell me the messages with more info are automated and they don't know why it took so long for me.. No apologies. When i entered the room it was very, very dirty and messy from other people that stayed (noone to check that. In description it said one bunkbed in mixed, no how many beds there was. A guy was eating smelly sausage, there was no window open so i had to endure the smell since there was noone to do sth about this. At 2am the two very messy girls arrived with lots of laughter and for the next hour they were talking loudly about nails. Again, no reception to stop them. Matress was thin, not comfortable. I didn't aee windows with view. Bathroom is 0.5x1 cm2, no toilet paper.

Very quiet. Great kitchen. Angel, the owner is very helpful and accommadating. Very close to the centre of everything good for longer or shorter stays. I would definitely stay there again. Security is good. AC in the rooms for hot or cold weather. When I needed a taxi, Angel took care of it for me.

Good stay for the price.

The location of the hostel is quite amazing, only a few minutes walk from the city center. I also liked that I can park my big tricycle in the yard, making me feel safe for it. The communication with Angel was easygoing and he provided all the information needed. The price was amazing since I am traveling on quite small budget, and sleeping in a bed is sometimes challenging.

The bed was not great for me, really soft and after 2 night's sleeping had back problems, also the bunk bed construction is really shaky, and after my roommate came to sleep, every turn he did in upper part of bunk bed also moved the whole bed which quite affected my rest. The locking mechanism on the room door made people struggle in the middle of the night to unlock it and enter the room. The shower is inside a really small toilet, since I am a really large guy I made a lot of mess to take a shower.
