i liked the house and the room; the private bathroom in the room was small, but had everything one needs. overall i am very happy with my stay

as an old house the noise isolation was not perfect, but on the whole i think that is not a big issue

Beautiful old house, which is renovated to suit travellers. It makes you feel the old times, when Plovdiv was the capital. The house is perfectly situated in the center, so everything is a walking distance.

Beautiful Plovdiv.

Building was lovely , loved the staircase ,room ok clean but no veiw and was quite dark, had wall from next building outside our window, bed was o but after 3 nights back ached , pillows terrible no support at all, could have done with lamp for night , No hand towel only bath towels, but for price we paid suppose we couldn't grumble, owener very nice man,Great location to Plovdiv centre , 10 min walk through park which was beautiful with big lake , right out of building across road and then left to end in the park .Loved Plovdiv.and the old town .

Beautiful building and welcoming manager

Beautiful building in a perfect location, walking distance from the train and bus stations as well as all the main sights. The manager was incredible and very accommodating, even allowing us to check in late due to delays from Sofia.

Good location, nice room (basement), zero stars for owner attitude!

The location is great - it is close to the train station, city park and walkable to all the main attractions The basement room is spacious and the bed comfortable. The airconditioner worked well. We had our own entrance off the street with a small area for storing our bikes securely. Check in was straightforward.

The room is not advertised truthfully. We specially chose this accommodation because it states that the room has a washing machine (and dryer) which is important for us because we are cycling every day and have limited clothing. Turns out there is no washing machine (or dryer) and we were informed that we could have our washing done for 20lev. The owner was away at the time and we discussed with the son (who was lovely) and showed him the screen shot of the advert. The son was on the phone to his father and we could hear him ranting on the other end of the phone. Evidently we are stupid foreigners who obviously can’t understand the advert as it supposedly clearly advises that washing will cost you 20(lev)! Whether it is a ‘lost in translation’ error on the English version of the booking platform is kind of irrelevant - if you are going to host people Ivan (and take their money) then you need to improve your attitude! Other small improvements could be to provide some basic coffee/tea (kettle and cups are provided so it makes sense) and maybe some soap for the shower. Also, being in the basement, the noise from people moving around upstairs can sound like a herd of baby elephants at times!!

For everyone who loves elegant old houses

An elegant and well kept old house. It has cosy balconies, it is air conditioned and the location is great. The host is very welcoming.

Just so that you know: the basin is a bit small, there is soap but no shower gel neither shampoo. The rooms are only accessible by stairs.

Excellent location great studio

We were late arriving due to a change in our train times but the host reassured us he would wait to allow us entry. We had the basement studio and it was lovely. Large and modern with a comfortable bed and good shower. Fabulous location with just a short walk to the centre through a lovely park.

Basement room was overall good. Quiet place whilst very close to the main pedestrian street with plenty of cafes and restaurants.

Only issue was AC didn’t work yet that time, but being in basement meant it was cool enough to sleep at night.

Really bad experience

Beautiful antique building.

After 10 days of great accommodation in Bulgaria, this guest house l was a huge disappointment. Despite the beautiful antique building, the service and accommodation are far below standard. The Problems: -Unfriendly: -The owner/manager opened the door from a distance without clear instructions. After shouting "hello" a few times myself, I only got "hello" back instead of useful information about which floor we had to go to. In the end, he was waiting for us on the top floor. - My 69 year old mother was not offered any help to carry her suitcase up 3 floors via the stairs. This is unacceptable for the hospitality you can expect from a guest house. - Shared Kitchen" Misleading: The so-called shared kitchen is a joke - only coffee (for a fee) and water available. All cupboards are locked, no kitchen utensils available. This is misleading advertising. - Bathroom Issues: - Very musty smell - No separate shower - only a shower head above the toilet - Entire bathroom gets wet while showering - No slippers, extra towels or mop to dry on - No shampoo provided - No hairdryer - Other Defects: - Dirty, intense chemical smell of air freshener in the hallway - Basic room with no comfort - No service or hospitality This hotel is a **scam**. The beautiful antique building cannot compensate for the terrible service, poor facilities and misleading description. After 10 days of excellent accommodations in Bulgaria this was a very unpleasant surprise. Recommendation: Avoid this guesthouse and choose one of the many other great options in Bulgaria.

Good hotel but difficult communication

Comfortable room, lots of hot water in the shower, good location near station and center. Many shared facilities like kitchen area with coffee/tea corner (charge), seating area, and smoking area.

Difficult communication re early check in and bag drop, no reception present. Most facilities were shared, not in the room, and we never saw the washing machine. No separare shower, so the toilet area was always wet.

Cool stay

It looks exactly like in the pictures and a good value for your money. The host is an extraordinary person, that tries to make his guests feel good. Speak about traveling and you will get the best tips! The room was comfy and clean. The balcony where you can have coffee in the morning is really nice! Close to the train station, which helped very much.

A sink is needed, to wash the dishes after you used them, cause the one in the toilet is difficult to use if someone is inside.

Great location. Good value for the money.

The location is perfect - 100 m from the main pedestrian street. Parking is blue zone, but for the weekend Sunday is free for Saturday we paid by SMSes. The house is old and beautiful.

The water and shower were on one tab - the pressure was always putting on the shower, so it was little difficult to use the water sink. The cleaning lady on leaving was hasty to leave the room as we knew the deadline hour for leaving.

Excellent location, very close to central pedestrian, and close to central bus station, road full of nice traditional buildings. Room in basement was big and very comfortable, clean with modern decoration.

Luxurious bathroom as shown in pics but unfortunately no hangers at all to leave your towels on. Sadly, the contact with the manager of reservations was really hard, retarded or even ignored, except if the subject concerned payments and money. Dont expect to hear any "welcome" or "have a nice stay", the man is just a cash machine.
