Pretty basic but good value for one or two nights

Good location in the city centre and easy to find. Room was clean but pretty basic with little storage space (one very small wardrobe/closet). But it did have a kettle, cups and glasses and also a TV.

No wi-fi in the evening. It only worked when staff arrived at 9am and switched it on. You have to pay the receptionist for your stay but they don't take credit cards - I had to go out and find an ATM to withdraw the money (not good if you're in a hurry to catch a train or plane). Bathroom floor gets very wet because of the way the shower is positioned.

I'm happy with my stay at this place

The Filipopol Guest Rooms are in a great location - center of Plovdiv. It's a big house with rooms on the floor and a shared bathroom. My room looked pretty good - the bed was comfortable, with easy-to-access outlets, bathroom essentials were provided, there was even a small sofa. Getting in-and-out of the building was easy. The shared bathroom was no problem. The price is great.

If you don't have high expectations and don't want to go to a hostel..

The location itself, it's right in the center.

The place wasn't the cleanest. The bathroom is shared so don't expect it to be perfectly clean. The three small windows in the room were not closing well.

Its okay for a couple of nights if you are a budget traveller.

The location. The communal area was quite pretty. Its okay to stay there for a couple of nights but the area can be a bit loud at night.

cleanliness. The room was dusty and a bit dirty . The bathroom also should habe been cleaner and it had an awful smell.

One of the problems was that the host was going through the rooms very noisy in 6:30 in the morning and woke me up. Another thing I didn't like much was the small windows in the room.

Great place to stay

This guest house is ad advertised. We had a room with privet bathroom. Everything was nice and clean.We were there during hot days so we were grateful for an awesome working air conditioner. The place is quiet. Conveniently located to the central part of the city and many attractions. The staff is pleasant and friendly.

I wish the bathroom had some shower shelves where I can put my toilet trees.

The location is absolutely perfect - everything you need is walking distance and there are very nice and lively bars nearby. The staff was very accommodating and lovely. Nicely furnished and clean :)

The pillows were so hard they gave me a headacke. I wish there was someone who would understand English there as it would have been nice to ask things The room was not cleaned properly - the bedside table had sticky marks from previous guests.

Exceptional

Very nice, cozy and clean room, as well as the rest of the hostel. Window with view on the Old Town's church. Common terrace next to the reception. Old constrution building, which means it has it's specific atmosphere, and for me it's great, I love such places. Great location, with restaurants, pubs, shops, park, museums and other tourists attractions etc. nearby around. Worth it's price, I will definitely book it next time.

Nice flat right in the centre. Warm with free heating at your leasure. Ever so central. Good WiFi. Upper floor flat and rooms. Very quiet at night. Perfect really and good value for money.

Good to stay there again.

I have stayed here before and enjoyed it. I liked having the room with a small balcony. Basic but clean and comfortable and staff friendly. Very reasonable price. This is why I returned. The central location is great.

As we were arriving late I had received notification of the pass code. However only after we had started out. For old-fashioned people like me without a smart phone this meant I did not get the email so we spent some time on the steps outside until we were able to contact the property owners. Also, wanting to go to the bathroom just as someone else went in. However this time we discovered there was another bathroom downstairs so all was well.

Very Central place in Plovdiv although on a backstreet very pleasant area and 5 mins walk in either direction to main shopping amenities e.g Costa Coffee 3 mins walk. Based my review on Guest House/Hotel rating of being 1 star Hotel and Price point value for money. it's not the Ritz by any means but very good with good facilities and relaxed informal atmosphere and certainly at the upper end of 1 Star accomodation.

Only one thing I disliked, but not really hotels fault more of a personal issue, had to self check in via telephone it went very smoothly but I find this a bit daunting in a strange country not speaking the language--but as I said it went very smoothly with no issues--really only a very minor thing probably wouldn't bother other people😀

Cosy and welcoming place

Lovely place in a great location. The owner is very nice but doesn't speak any English (incase that's a problem for you). The room was clean and cosy and the beds were very comfortable. Location is amazing

Bang for Buck stay - better than what I expected.

Location, the super kind lady host, the bed, the balcony, it's quiet.

getting hairdryer should happen in advance and host must be there to give it to you. My room was dark, but that's normal, only one of all of them is dark due to windows being on lower part of room.

Central location. Clean room with water cooker. Friendly lady welcoming you.

No kitchen. Toilet and shower in same bathroom which is shared with several rooms... so if a person showers, no toilet. Also no shower curtain or water basin, so entire bathroom gets soaked all the time. WiFi not so good.

Good location and bright rooms.

The owner charged more than what booking.com told me and on top of that didn't have any cash back so had to pay even more money. (To the owner, when you run a business and accept cash money, have some spare change to return to the client...) Dirty rooms and badthroom.

Very good price for a hostel in a good location. Very clean, comfortable beds, shampoo, soap, tea kettle. Friendly staff.
