Luxury in the most beautiful part of Italy

Our room had a balcony that overlooked Ortesei and the mountains, stunning. Very comfortable room and excellent shower. So many ammenities: well stocked honor bar, afternoon snacks, deck with a view, 3 spa rooms, incredible breakfast and comfortable beds. Kiara at the front desk was extremely helpful and responsive. Located steps away from the bus stop. Free bus pass was fantastic! Beautiful lighted path made walking into town a pleasure.

Hotel is located outside of the town, so if you like to be in the middle of everything, this might not be for you.

Perfect winter escape!

It was very comfortable and inviting! A true getaway! I really liked the free bus pass that is included and the breakfast the next morning! Also the beds were very comfortable and I slept great!

The perfect retreat in the mountaints

Everything about this hotel was AMAZING! Exceeded our expectations. The breakfast was OUTSTANDING - the lounge area, bar, and snacks all amazing. The room was perfect (the best view, and the most comfy bed). The saunas in the basement were LUXURIOUS and perfection. I would stay here again and again and again. The staff was so helpful when planning our hikes, looking for restaurants and anything else. We only had about a 10 minute walk into town and it was so easy to get around.

We really enjoyed our stay at Alpstat - Chalet Hotel Hartmann! The staff were very friendly — especially the woman who put all of the breakfast together. The beds were so comfortable and the main spaces and rooms were nicely decorated and designed. Very cute spot to stay in Ortisei! The breakfast was phenomenal — a spread like you would not believe, anything you wanted. It is located within walking distance of many small shops and restaurants and only 15 minutes to any of the cable cars to hike the mountains. We highly recommend Alpstay - Chalet Hotel Hartmann to everyone!

Amazing location and views. The property was spotlessly clean, was beautiful and impeccably maintained. It was very conveniently located from the main center. And the decor of the place was superb. The breakfast was amazing and the serving staff were so helpful. Chiara was so helpful and made our checkin and stay awesome. Absolutely loved and highly recommended!!

First time there and this property was perfect.

The property was perfectly clean, very nice room. We enjoyed the wellness center for some post hike relaxation. The breakfast, snack time, and honesty bar were perfect. The hotel manager was an amazing lady who was very patient and kind. She gave us great ideas for our time there. I wouldn’t hesitate to return there.

Relaxing little gem.

I loved that it was just out of town yet easy to walk to. A few different buses come by so you don't have to walk back up the hill after a big day hiking. The service at breakfast was great and the view from the balcony was so relaxing.

Perfect Stay In Ortisei

Hotel Hartmann was everything we had hoped for. The staff made our stay comfortable and relaxing. The room was clean, well equipped with anything we might needed and the view from our room was just spectacular (photos attached). The breakfast was great with a nice variety of hot and cold food and the sweets left during the day to take was really nice. The honesty bar was a great addition, being able to grab any drinks you want at any time and to just write down what you take. The location was also perfect, nice and quiet and was a short walk down into the main square and to the seceda cable car. We were also given a free bus pass to use during our stay to get around which was super helpful.

Beautiful chalet with amazing spa and breakfast. 10/10

Amazing chalet just up the street from the main town area. The breakfast was amazing, the spa was beautiful and peaceful, and they had a full honor bar available with tons of drink options. Our room was gorgeous and so spacious, with views of the surrounding mountains. We only stayed 1 night, but wished we had longer there. Highly recommend.

Everything was great! It is up the hill from the main town area, but they give you a free bus pass, and it's really not far of a walk.

Spacious room, nice breakfast, comfortable common areas and fun self-service bar. Pretty great location with easy walk to chair lifts/gondolas to Alpe Di Suisi and Seceda. Hotel is also very close to the bus line and a free pass for our stay came in useful several times. We were very, very happy with our stay overall.

We were looking forward to some of the spa-like features (sauna). We found them in good working condition, but we didn't find any temperature controls or ways to turn the relaxation music off. It felt a bit 'gimmicky' compared to the other features of the hotel. Other Hotel Hartmanns offer a guest laundry. We would have wanted to book a hotel with one in the future after our multi-day hike before staying here.

There were no free tea and coffee facilities There was a charge of 3 Euros for a tea bag where you had to make your own tea . The cost wasn’t the issue, it was the principle Room was advertised as a mountain view which although technically correct, the view is a side of a hill

Nice decoration & location surrounded by nature

The room was clean and nicely decorated. It was a bit small, but still comfortable. The honor bar was a nice touch, though we didn’t get a chance to use it.

The weather was hot, and there was no air conditioning. Since the room was close to the street, it got quite loud from the traffic when the windows were open. Due to the limited operating hours, we had little opportunity to meet the staff, as we left early for activities and returned late to the hotel. Also, breakfast started at 8 a.m., which felt a bit late on days when we had early plans.

We had a fantastic stay at this charming little hotel in the heart of the Dolomites. It struck the perfect balance between comfort and informality — relaxed, friendly, and thoughtfully run. The rooms were spotlessly clean and well-kept, with just the right touches to make you feel at home after a day out in the mountains. We loved the self-serve breakfast — fresh, generous, and with plenty of choice to fuel a day of hiking. The honesty bar was a lovely touch too, adding to the relaxed, trust-based atmosphere that made our stay feel so personal. The staff were warm and welcoming without being overbearing, always happy to help with advice or a chat. It's clear they genuinely care about their guests.

Exceptional, highly recommended.

We were greeted with a warm welcome by the reception staff who provided us with an orientation to the hotel facilities. The hotel is tastefully decorated and meticulously cleaned. The breakfast was wonderful. There was a lot choices of fine food. Every morning we sat in front of a window with Mountain View to enjoy our breakfast. It locates on a slope and it only takes 12 minutes to walk leisurely to the Town Centre.

Lovely hotel with great breakfast and staff

Beautiful hotel with attention to detail. Delicious breakfast, lovely setting, and helpful staff. Very comfortable bed and plenty of room including a sitting area.

The only negative was the towels which were very thin and scratchy. This was surprising because everything else about this hotel was really well done and it was clear they focused on making it a beautiful place to stay.
