Location, Peace and Quiet, Clean, Comfortable, Complementary bottle of wine on arrival was a nice touch!

Check-in time was quite late (5.00 pm).

We felt very comfortable. The location was excellent, it was super clean and spacious. We were very pleased with the free entry to the castle and garden, and a bottle of wine as a welcome gift. One thing you need to know: you have to bring your own wood for the fireplace, and for a fifty-something, the bed was quite narrow at 1.40 meters wide. ;-) Otherwise, there was nothing to complain about, and we would gladly return anytime.

Everything! The distance away from crowds in the south. Proximity to Castle. Facilities, cleanliness, comfort and generosity of kitchen supplies (jams, coffee, paper towelling)… to make it feel like home. Thank you so very much. It was just a little unfamiliar to me to come and go without meeting anyone on arrival or departure (for some local interaction) although when one of your castle staff saw that we were cottage guests, he immediately recognised where we were staying and highlighted a few extra lovely things for us to do. And I saw a deer outside the kitchen window the very first morning. What a treat! Lifetime memory!

Comfortable, convenient and a great place to stay.

Great location for exploring the north west of Skye with essential facilities close by, also good restaurants, art galleries and clan history next door at Dunvegan Castle. The cottage was well equipped and welcomingly cosy in an attractive location with a lovely view of the sea. Contemporary kitchen and bathroom were especially appreciated.

Areas that needed updating and cleaning - rugs and mats especially which were very stained and the front outside door mat which was buried in gravel and dust until I brushed and beat it. One kitchen chair was broken andwe’d have appreciated a hand towel for the kitchen, A very comfortable stay it needs checking over and titivating in places.

Loved this place! A short walk to the castle and a slightly longer walk to Dunvegan itself but no real issues. Its clean, comfortable and we loved it!

Perfect for my needs, a lovely getaway from it all

Located next to the castle, within walking distance of Dunvegan. COVID limited our meals and drinks in the local pub, but the fish and chip shop takeaway was amazing!

Living room suite cushions were really soft - not normally an issue, but due to COVID we spent more time than normal in the accomodation at evenings.

The decor. It was painted a muddy grey throughout, really dark and depressing. The house is surrounded by trees so quite dark all around. There was no view. Just a little dark and cold feeling

Great place to stay

Perfekte Ausstattung, man hat sich direkt wie Zuhause gefühlt. Zusätzliche Aufmerksamkeiten wie bspw. Marmelade, Shortbread, Tee und Kaffee zum idealen Start nach der Ankunft. Ein wunderbarer Platz, tolle Lage. Außergewöhnliche Ausflugsziele in der näheren Umgebung. Gerne wieder und definitv zur Weiterempfehlung.

Das wir leider nur 3 Nächte bleiben konnten 😉.
