Beautiful farmhouse cottage with every facility in amazing location.

Absolutely beautiful farmhouse cottage close to Dunvegan castle with everything you could possibly need for a great stay. Definitely a great place for 2 couples or a family. Amazing laundry facilities which is great when you are travelling for a long time from the other side of the world. We loved every minute of our stay

The totally inflexible check in time of 5 pm. We just arrived on a ferry in the pouring rain and had nothing to do for about 4 hours. We had not encountered such a late check in time and lack of flexibility in 2 months of travel in France and Scotland.

Cozy warm cottage

Such an amazing cottage, it had everything we needed and felt like home. Comfy beds and pillows,plenty of towels, detailed instructions left for everything we might need during our stay. There was a complementary bottle of wine and free tickets to the castle which was amazing. We loved our stay there

The Farmhouse is beautifully furnished and presented, spotlessly clean. Situated virtually a mile from anything with stunning views. Super peaceful and comfortable, a real haven and most relaxing.

The location was great to access many great hikes nearby, in addition to being able to visit the castle and gardens before it got busy. The Farmhouse is very comfortable, like a home away from home!

Memorable Isle of Skye holiday stay.

Beautifully renovated farm house, tasteful decor, well-equipped kitchen, great location for day trips to Isle of Skye walking trails. Booking also included free admission to the Dunvegan Castle and Gardens, which was a nice surprise.

Excellent stay

I loved the view from the property and how secluded it was. Lots of privacy and you can see the lake from your windows. The sound of a stream nearby when you are sitting in the garden. Overall we loved our stay there.

Absolut traumhaftes Cottage in traumhafter naturnaher Lage.

Traumhafte Lage des Cottages, absolut ruhig. Platz für 6 Gäste, zwei Zimmer mit Doppelbetten und eins mit zwei Einzelbetten. Zwei separate Badezimmer. Riesige Küche, mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Waschküche mit Waschmaschine und Trockner. Als Willkommensgruß stand eine Flasche Rotwein auf dem Esstisch und in der Küche war ein kleines Tablett mit Marmelade, Kaffee, Teebeuteln usw. angerichtet.

Dunvegan Castle Farmhouse Cottage: seinen Preis wert!

Erwartet habe ich nach der Buchung ein "Farmhouse" "irgendwo im Nirgendwo", was intendiert war. Die Lage ist abseits von bekannten Hot-Spots auf der Isle of Skye, was unser Wunsch war. Nur Dunvegan Castle ist quasi direkt nebenan. Überrascht hat uns das etwas unauffällige Farmhouse mit einer sehr gehobenen Inneneinrichtung. Sehr stilvoll, sehr sauber, geräumig (3 Schlafzimmer, 2 Bäder, große Küche mit Esszimmer, Wohnzimmer, etc.) und trotzdem gemütlich. Ja, die Unterkunft ist nicht billig, aber wenn man abseits von Touristenschwärmen in ruhiger Natur in einem tollen Haus auf der Isle of Skye übernachten möchte, kann man hier den Preis in Kauf nehmen! Tipps: Keine Scheu haben vor dem nach rechts abbiegenden etwas holprigen Feldweg zum Cottage! Der nächste Supermarkt in Portree ist etwa 30 Fahrminuten mit dem PKW entfernt. Naturliebhaber sollten unbedingt Coral Beach besuchen!

een prachtige locatie op Isle of Skye

Farmhouse ligt afgelegen, middenin een prachtig Schots landschap maar toch vlakbij Dunvegan Castle, waar er ook een kleine shop is, waar je ook iets kan eten. Ideaal voor wie rust zoekt en toch op verkenning wil gaan in de omgeving. Dunvegan Castle is gratis te bezoeken als je in het Farmhouse overnacht, leuke verrassing! Het huisje zelf is volledig gerenoveerd, stijlvol en alle moderne comfort aanwezig (ruime keuken, wasmachine). De ruimtes zijn groot (3 slaapkamers, living, keuken en eethoek).

Peu de vaisselle, poêle en mauvais état et surtout pas de verre à whisky. Dommage pour l’Ecosse!

Een heel fijn huis op een pracht locatie

Een heel fijn huis. Zeer ruim, met twee badkamers, mooi ingericht. Grote kamers, heerlijke bedden. Zeker ruim genoeg voor 6 personen (wij waren maar met drie). De keuken was gigantisch en met veel keukenmateriaal voorhanden. Ook fijn dat je een gratis toegang krijgt tot Dunvegan castle. Wij hadden initieel niet gepland om het te bezoeken, maar door het gratis ticket deden we het toch en kregen er geen spijt van. De tuin van het kasteel is ook prachtig. De locatie is ook heerlijk. Je zit op privédomein, weg van de hoofdwegen, lekker rustig dus, met een mooi uitzicht op het Loch.

Op zich was het makkelijk om de sleutel te vinden, maar we hadden het toch fijn gevonden mochten we iemand gezien hebben om ons te ontvangen. Als je vragen had werd er wel heel snel gereageerd op berichten, maar omdat ik een aantal keer gelezen had dat ze het zeer druk hadden omwille van personeelstekort, voelde ik wat remming om ze te contacteren. Op zich geen probleem dus, maar wij hadden initieel wat moeite om de verwarming aan te krijgen. Uiteindelijk wel gelukt. In de kamer van de dochter zat er wat vlekken op het tapijt en was een van de kussens vuil. Verder was het huis wel proper.
