Not what it used to be

The location is fabulous.

There were bugs in the room and I was not able to get through to the hotel when calling to get a ride back to hotel. Called front desk three times and reached out to concierge. Two days later still no message from concierge. This hotel has definitely gone down hill. I’ve stayed here many times over the years and it’s not the same standard it used to be.

It's even better than the hype.

The Grand is iconic for many reasons and I've wanted to stay there since I first visited Poland 30 years ago. Even with those unrealistically high expectations, staying there with my family for three nights exceeded all of them. The location is unmatched, the service excellent, the amenities and conveniences perfect, the history inimitable, the proximity and convenience to shopping and dining ideal. Very tough to match all this property has to offer.

That we had to leave after only three nights. We could have comfortably stayed for a month or more.

560$ per night is really expensive for this hotel. Tasteless food, uncomfortable room.

Desserts after dinner were tasty. Dinner was served really nice. Bread and butter were tasty. Staff was nice, most of them. In the room there is an umbrella. High ceiling. Nice garden with a sea view. Great location.

My room was Superior Double Room Sea Side - No Balcony Mattress was old and curved so feet was upper than head. All bath stuff(soap, shampoo, balsam) was screwed to the wall In the bathrobe it was anti-theft chip - I saw it the very first time in my life. Toilet paper was the very low quality. No ventilation in the toilet. Room interior is really outdated. No coffee maker in the room (but it was in description) Breakfast was the same all the time and mostly from carbs, but there was possibility to order eggs from the menu, only boiled eggs was okay. Dinner was fixed, each day three new dishes two days it was fish and third it was rabbit or hemp meat. If you'd prefer eat meat - this place isn't for you. Very expensive and very low quality.

the grand nature of the hotel, the friendly and welcoming front desk staff, the spa facilities, the beach view and of course, the amazing breakfast!

Excellent location and historic charme! The hotel's attraction is its beach location, the proximity of the city center and the mole, and -most importantly - the 1920's feel to the hotel.

The hotel's history makes it special, but in some areas renovations that would give the hotel a modern feel would not harm the overall experience.

Spacious room, nice spa area. Warm and cosy rooms with wooden parquet floors. Good breakfast. Good room service with special but not intrusive attention to guests (evening tea etc.). We had a good time in the beautiful lobby bar 🍸. Time and money well spent. Highly recommend.

Very spacious room, good atmosphere in a majestic historic hotel. Very clean and warm. Beautiful spa. The hotel and the rooms with character with some nice touch of understated modern design. Wooden parket floor in the rooms give a sense of luxe that is becoming extinct in many other places. Very unique place and I hope it will stay the same for many years like old wine which gets better with time. Wonderful service by Anna and beautiful surprise gift for the special guest.
