Great location but not a luxury apartment and overpriced

The location was excellent for exploring the centre with lots of bars and restaurants on the doorstep which meant it was very loud with the windows open (we had to try and keep them open as it was very hot when we stayed and there were only two tiny fans of which one didn’t work The bathroom was large and clean with plenty of hot water and good quality towels.

The smaller bedroom bed was broken with the slats on the floor underneath the bed which we managed to put back in the bed and the spotlights lights flickered so couldn’t be used. There was a lot of dust under the bed and the vacuum cleaner, which was left on charge in that bedroom, was also full of dirt and dust. The WiFi signal wasn’t the best Most of the windows didn’t stay up as they are old sash windows – a couple of wooden blocks would have helped. They also couldn’t be locked. The apartment didn’t feel clean, and it certainly wasn’t what I would call a “luxury” apartment. There were cobwebs all over the windows when we went to open them. The toiletries in the bathroom weren’t topped up and there was an opened bottle of mouthwash left on the bathroom sink! We only used a few glasses, mugs and plates but had to put them in the dishwasher as the bottle of washing up liquid that was left was empty! The toaster was full of crumbs. As it was hot, I had to take the duvet cover off to use as a sheet and the actual duvet was full of stains. The entrance hall wasn’t clean or well kept and neither was the stairwell which was extremely cluttered. Parking tight for two cars and if we had needed the car it was regularly blocked in. I do feel it is overpriced for what you get and we left rather disappointed.

Perfect for a weekend of no driving and having everything on your doorstep!

Fab location, couldn’t have chosen better. The facilities in the property are great and has everything guests would need. The shower has plenty of big water even with 4 of us showering twice a day.

The bed in the smaller bedroom is broken and so We had to climb in & out over her bed. The second bedroom is small and can be difficult to ma e around in easily.

Great stay in the heart of Chester.

Location couldn't have been better to be in the thick of it all.

Ceiling lights in the smaller bedroom flickered, so you couldn't have them on. Obviously not compatible with a dimmer switch. Cars blocked ours in in the evening on both nights (staff from surrounding bars and restaurants maybe). This wasn't an issue for us as we were staying in the centre in the evening, but it would have been a problem if we had wanted to use our car.

Chester flat in perfect location

The lounge tv would not connect to the Internet. The large bedroom tv tried but never managed it. Perhaps the WiFi was too slow to stream

Lovely stay in Chester, but disappointing Accommodation

Very central location, perfect for what we wanted, but very noisy street below, so not good for a quiet romantic break. lots of eateries, drinking holes nearby, and close to the races, which is exactly what we wanted. parking included which was definitely a bonus. The bedrooms were at the back, so that did help with the noise

The second bedroom was very small, compared to the large master bedroom, you could barely walk around the end of the bed, and had to avoid knocking the tv on the wall. It was very unfortunate the bed in the master bedroom was broken, a split was apparent down one side, and it had obviously tried to be repaired previously, so our friends did not have a good nights sleep for the two nights we were there, as the bed creaked with the split, and a slat was broken. I feel disappointed considering the price we paid for the Accommodation for two nights, and will have to be more careful in choosing accommodation in future, but you can only go by what is shown in photos, and the descriptions given.

Lovely apartment, very clean, very central and easy to find.

No full length mirror anywhere in the apartment. Also the photograph of where the parking space is needs to be updated. The sign on the wall is gone (which makes sense if you are going to stay)

Central location, comfortable, spotless and homely! It had everything you wanted and liked the quirky decor!

A little noisy but only in lounge/kitchen with it being on busy street! Entrance area could do with some TLC but not really a major issue!

The location was great, shower was nice and hot, parking was great.

location was fabulous and living area was great.

I mistakenly thought that there were two toilets so that was a little disappointing. The general cleanliness was quite poor. The dishwasher hadn’t been emptied and when we opened it, there was a terrible smell. We just left it as it was. There was no tea towel for drying dishes. The coffee table had all marks on it, it looked as though it hadn’t been cleaned. it’s far from luxurious as the title states.

Good location and good apartment but disappointing.

The apartment was in a good central location and it was mostly clean. It felt safe.

The bars outside had loud music until 2 am which was not good. The windows not being double glazed made it cold especially as the heating had not been put on for us and it was minus 5 outside. Spotless mostly but the cleaner did miss quite a few places that needed dusting.

Great central location and convenient allocated parking space. Easy to access and spotless on arrival. Good range of kitchen equipment.

Not an issue for us but guests should be aware that there is some noise from the pedestrianised street below which is only to be expected as you’re right in the heart of the city and its nightlife.

Absolutely love the location, size & facilities of the apartment. It's our 2nd time visiting and loved it.

It's not the fault of the apartment but the rubbish collection woke us all up at 6am which was unfortunate with my 6 year old.

comfortable and spacious characterful apartment in the historic centre of the city, with parking.

very central location. good that it had a dedicated parking spot. beds were comfortable. lovely large living area with high ceilings. although there was some street noise in the evenings (from all the restaurants on a busy pedestrian street) the bedrooms are at the back and were much quieter.

it was very hot, and the sash windows in the living area wouldn’t stay open on their own - had to wedge them open a crack with a rolled up newspaper. also, there were no oven gloves. couldn’t work out how to use the microwave oven - some instructions would have been really useful.

Lovely apartment, very central, bring earplugs!

The apartment is really nicely fitted out - lovely furnishings and decor. Great to have a really good kitchen for making food in etc. Lots of living space and very comfortable.

The apartment is very central which for access into town is great. However it is above what we hadn't realised is a very lively bar / club which was open until the early hours on both Sat and Sun nights. The music carried as did the sounds of people congregating outside. If you are there to party then great, if not then earplugs are essential! It's a beautiful apartment though.
