A lovely stay for a celebration. Hosts very helpful.

Good instructions and contact from the hosts. A fabulous centre accommodation. The Lounge area was smaller than anticipated but very nice.

The municipal stairwell could use some TLC.

Nice flat and was good value for the price we paid.

Good central location, well equipped flat, wasn’t too hot for a top floor flat. Good size rooms. It was clean and comfortable. Communication with host was good with clear instructions about how to acccess property. The beds were very comfy and Wi-Fi was good.

Few issues with bathroom, on one occasion toilet cistern did’t fill up but managed to fix it, the shower tray was also slow to drain which led to water going over the shower tray. First night was noisy as there was live music just across the street, although it was good music! Door handle to flat was abit wobbly so didn’t feel that secure.

The property is up a lot of stairs so not suitable for anyone with mobility issues however, it is the penthouse so it is expected.

Very disappointing

The location was good

The broken sofa, you were practically sitting on the floor, we were staying for four nights with work so needed to be able to sit down on an evening, but because the sofa was broken and had a protruding wooden slat that ran the full length of the sofa. We had to watch TV in the bedroom not ideal for four nights. Only one hand towel for the four nights, which is not enough, the wi-fi kept buffering, so because the TV was on w-fi it was difficult to watch any programmes, it was also very slow for using my laptop. The entrance way was very dirty and smelly, three sets of very steep steps to get to the apartment, no shelving in the shower, so no where to put your toiletries when showering, the hot water, was a tiny trickle, it took 5 minutes to fill the sink to wash up. The apartment is for up to four people, but strangely only 3 forks, plus all the sharp knives were just shoved into the tray, and I sliced my finger on one. This should not be billed as a luxury apartment, there were so many things that were not right about it, the owners really need to sort out the problems.

Overall liked the apartment and its location but shame about the noise and shower.

Very central location, smart, clean and well equipped modern apartment. Good parking nearby. Good communication from owners.

Double or triple glazing needed for front bedroom as a lot of noise into early hours from bars etc in the street. This probably not a problem for those enjoying the nightlife but was very troublesome for us as a family. However the back bedroom for the children was fine. The shower needs attention as temperature almost impossible to control - could run extremely hot which is especially dangerous for children.

Good location for exploring Chester. Modern and stylish. There was everything you need for a short stay. Easy to check in

The location also meant it was very noisy at night. Due to the single glazing you could hear all the bar noise until around 2:30am so it was difficult to sleep in the main bedroom. The second bedroom wasn’t noisy but the bed creaked a lot which meant it was hard to sleep. The apartment was clean on the whole, but when we came to use the oven there was a frying pan full of grease left in there. When we opened the dishwasher to load it we found that it was already full of crockery. This shows a lack of attention to detail in the cleaning. The bathroom door did not have a lock and it was hard to slide open.

A really nice apartment in perfect location. Bedrooms comfy. Fully equipped kitchen. Dishwasher tablets and fairy supplied also kitchen roll tea & coffee etc which was amazing.

Smell of hallwall as very old and unkept, bannister broken and loose in places. Door handle on bathroom hanging off. Shower was rubbish it was a trickle and either freezing or scalding. Carpets stained in places. Edges of shower need repairing. It could be amazing if little things looked after a bit more and these things repaired. No hairdryer but as soon as I contacted they brought one in 10 minutes.

Right in the heart of Chester, great location with lots of shops, bars and restaurants within walking distance. The apartment was clean and perfect for us for the few days we were staying there.

Modern property but it needs a little love and a professional cleaner, dirty cleaning sponge dirty cutlery dirty mugs ,dirty draw in the bottom of fridge, dirty oven glove cupboard doors dirty extremely small sofa needs a really good hoover all glass needs a good clean ,the front bedroom hadn’t been hoovered the drawers was dirty inside so we didn’t use them the cladding behind the bed was extremely dusty etc..

no key in key box so standing in front step trying to contact landlord, constant smell of smoke from neighbouring flat, many stairs up to flat (no lift) no hot water in kitchen nor bathroom taps, shower terrible no temperature regulation and just a trickle, excessively noisy from outside street clubs and from downstairs flat, sharp edges on kitchen counters, bathroom sliding door broke and my husband got stuck inside and there’s no tv just Apps to watch like iPlayer Netflix etc. lots of these negative comments are already written up on Tripadvisor reviews so nothing is being addressed.

Great location, comfy, terrible shower!

The location was great for shopping and being close to restaurants and bars. I’ve to have TVs in the bedrooms and the beds were comfy. Modern kitchen and decor was nice.

Shower - As mentioned in many reviews the shower is not good. The head doesn’t fit in the holder properly and it’s also positioned so close to the wall that you have to stand up against the wall to get under the shower. It was impossible to regulate the temperature which was very annoying. Also extremely unsafe with a shower tray to step up on to with no non slip mat and no safety handle. Cleaning - Could have been better in the kitchen. Sofa - As a group of 4 adults it was disappointing to have only a 3 seater a sofa, an extra bean bag would have done the trick!

The property is extremely central and all the shops, restaurants and bars are within a few mins walking distance. It is located very close to a reasonably priced car park which made carrying all our shopping bags/cases a lot easier as we didn’t have far to go. It was nice to have the breakfast bar area where we could sit around and eat together. Each bedroom has a TV and there are heaters, an iron and ironing board and also hair dryers available which was a nice addition.

Unfortunately there was no hot water in the bathroom or kitchen taps. As some others have mentioned, it can be quite noisy when groups are walking past and the bins are emptied early in the mornings but it didn’t disturb us too much, just something to be aware of, maybe take ear plugs if you are a light sleeper.

location

not much hot water in the taps or shower, some things were broke such as toilet roll holder hanging off, door knobs hanging off, shower not powerful at all even with little hot water, toilet seat didn’t fit the toilet, the bathroom door came off it’s roller and if somebody else hadn’t of been in the apartment I would have been stuck. It needs a bit of TLC to be honest.

Great central location for shops, eating and sightseeing, and modern apartment

Very little hot water in kitchen and bathroom, & trickle of water from the shower. Owner came round on second evening to try and sort but didn’t resolve the issue. Extremely noisy at night as people left restaurants & bars as there are only shutters and no curtains to absorb the noise. As others have said apartment needs some general ‘tlc’.

We had a great time being together just two people now have to catch up on sleep.

The property is really lovely with good facilities. Plenty of hot water for showers etc. It is in a great situation for shopping, restaurants and bars etc…. just very very noisy.

Very noisy outside on Watergate Street with music, late night revellers, singing, fight at one point so police arrived. This kept my sisters awake on both Friday and Saturday night. I slept in the bedroom at the back and so heard nothing.
