Our stay wasn’t as expected we booked this property for a hot tub weekend away and to relax, unfortunately the hot tub

Great location, ten min walk to city center right next to racecourse. Property was clean, well equipped and comfortable

Maybe a bit too much decor for our liking but obviously didn’t affect our stay. No plug for upstairs bath, suggest maybe a blind for the bathroom upstairs too. Other than that was all brilliant

A fantastic weekend to celebrate a family birthday

The property was lovely and in a fantastic location with racecourse 30 seconds away at the end of the road and 5 minutes from the town center. It was great that a second toilet and shower has been fitted as 8 of us stayed there, that needs to be advertised more as this almost put us off. 2 Towels per person were also provided, so that was great. It was so straight forward to get the key as it was in a lock box outside the door and the combination was sent to me a few days before we arrived. I would definitely recommend this house and would stay again.

There were only 6 garden chairs outside but the house sleeps 8. There wasn't 8 mugs so we couldn't all have a hot drink at the same time. The tap in the kitchen was loose/wobbly, this needs sorting, as does the lower oven door as it wouldn't stay closed. The lino in the bathroom isnt trimmed/fitted correctly behind the toilet in the bathroom and the wallpaper is peeling a little in the bathroom too. There are also splashes of paint on the blind in the living room. The downstairs shower was also a little tempremental, red hot or freezing cold, the one upstairs, with its back to front quirks was great, we all used that one instead. The upstairs bathroom needs a blind These are all little things that didn't spoil our stay but we would have fixed.

Location was Fantastic with great walks close by and close to shops and restaurants. Hot tub was good. Fast response to all queries.

Down stairs shower did not have much pressure once water temperature was in the right setting. Basement bed was not very comfortable.

Great time with friends just a few little things could have made it perfect

Great location and cheap parking nearby. Property was clean and beds were very comfy. Hot tub was not heated when we arrived which was disappointing as this was a factor in choosing the location. It was set at 27 degrees so was not ready to use till the following day. Kitchen could be better equipped. There was only a fridge and no freezer section. We’d ordered an online shop and had nowhere to put the ice. You need to take your own tea towel as non provided. Garden furniture not great and would t cost a lot to put a decent table and chairs in. These things didn’t spoil our enjoyment and we still had a great time.

Disappointing

Furnished Beautifully and location good

Could be better equipped ie 1 wine glass (there was 5 of us - so had to use plastic Prosecco glasses even indoors). Downstairs shower unusable, as soon as you turn to heat water, it goes to a dribble although upstairs shower is good. Garden pictures are definitely not representative of the garden. Only 2 small cushions in the shed, garden furniture dated and rusting and lastly garden had lots of weeds including nettles along the long built in seating to the side, not a relaxing or useable space. I asked for both shower and garden to be addressed as the weather was hot - neither was addressed. Sad as it is great location.

Overall a good stay in an excellent location

Superb location for city center, very cost cottage.

It was a shame that the rear court yard could have been weeded and needed some attention, down stairs shower very small and difficult to gauge temperature, water temperature upstairs was cold, hot tub was good but could have been a bit cleaner. No dishwasher, dishcloths to clean.

Hardly any crockery - a few mugs only (one of which we accidentally broke - sorry), mostly chipped, NO wine glasses. 1 bedroom completely usable, garden a disgrace.No towel holders/hooks anywhere.

Bed Bugs! Hot tub water smelt like urine,,, very very very dirty

1 bed had bed bugs! My friend is covered in bites! The hot tub was extremely smelly. The water smelt so bad that 2 of us got in for 5 min then out and straight into the shower. The shower enclosure smelt so bad as I stood in there about to shower. As soon as you lifted the lid the steam smell was vile! The water looked discoloured and we used a hot tub dip that we found in garden shed I'll post this also. I contacted the 2 owners the first morning there, 1 replied saying it was sanitised before our stay! All I can say is I've been in lots of hot tubs and never have I experienced this smell. I'd suggest it was urine in the water and it hadn't been emptyed for a very long time. The filters had lots of leaves blocking them. You couldn't smell any cleaning chemicals in the water. We only booked this property for 2 nights so we could all use the hot tub. A huge disappointment and I suggest the owners actually go to the property and GET IN THE HOT TUB!!!! Absolute health hazard!

Beautiful house, great location, lovely host

The house is beautiful and in a very convenient location for Chester center and the race course. No parking but we parked at saddlery way car park with horizon for 2 nights which was secure and very cheap. The host is lovely and so accommodating to any needs you have.

Only thing I can think of and it wasn’t really a problem but a parking spot would be an added bonus

Great location, house could be so much better with a few easy tweaks.

Perfect location for the race course (where we were going for Ladies Day) and also only a short walk into town.

- The place is nice but in need of some TLC, theres lots of cracks in the walls, dirty marks, etc. It just needs a little attention. - No freezer, just a small fridge. - The down stairs bedroom and bathroom smells of damp - There is only one bathroom, which was a slight issue for 8 women. - There aren't enough mugs / plates, etc for 8 people, some of us had to have a cup of tea in a plastic beaker, far from ideal. It was just little things like that which let the place down and would be so easy to remedy.

Perfect location. Nice and spacious. Clean and just a lovely house. They gave me a number for any issues, when I rang they answered straight away. Very helpful. Have been recommending it to everyone and will be returning

clean - except the fridge. bedrooms tidy and well kept. overall ok, just little things let it down

the weeds growing out of the door step to the main entrance pretty much tells the story. the place is nice but finished on a budget and in a rush. the loose man hole cover in the garden was far from ideal with kids running around. no freezer and the fridge had juice spilt inside it before we arrived. the down stairs bedroom smells of damp it would have been a blow out if not for the hot tub..

Beautiful central chester townhouse

Excellent central location, close to everything. The house is beautiful, really quirky rooms, especially the bedroom in the cellar! Really lovely decor. Fantastic hottub.

Only thing (and being picky here) was that there was only 1 toilet/bathroom so we struggled a bit in the morning.
