Well equipped accommodation with all you need for your stay. Bedrooms were perfect for our needs. Canal Street car park just behind the property for £7 24 hours

The location is brilliant. Less than five minute walk to the food market hall and Christmas market and one street away from the storehouse theatre. The property extremely clean and excellent value for money

Cheap, but you get what you pay for.

Is in need of a refresh. Doesn't look like the pictures. Worn stair carpets, walls & skirting needs painted. No shower gel in the dispensers. Mentioned free parking but the barrier was pad locked & had to pay for overnight parking. No details on the parking unless that was in the small print. Got lost and called the out of hours number & also sent a text. No answer on the number & didn't reply to the text, even the next morning. Took 5 minutes to get the door unlocked as it kept locking out after 5 digits were entered. Due to the sash windows the noise outside with the traffic kept us awake. This was in the small print that we also missed. Check the small print for everything before booking. Sat Nav takes you to the front of the building that you can't stop at as it's a busy road with double yellows. Enter from the back and the signage isn't great. They need to give more details for getting to the property. It was cheap, so overall you get what you pay for.

Four ladies go to Chester.

The house was very central to the city. (Inside the city walls) Car parking is very close to the house. The house and kitchen are well equipped and the beds were clean and comfortable.

The house is situated on a very busy dual carriage way, which is very noisy if you are sleeping at the front of the house. The noise problem was made worse because the window locks are broken, so the windows were slightly ajar, magnifying the noise. The kitchen window didn't have a blind or curtain, so anyone walking past or living in the property’s behind could see in. Not ideal. Lots of little niggles, like no shelves in the bathroom to put your toiletries on. Very heavy creaking fire doors and floorboard. Light not working in the hallway. Having said all this, i would stay here again because of its location to the centre of the city. The house was well equipped. The kitchen had everything we needed and the beds were clean and comfortable.

This property is nothing like the photos. The house is disgraceful and dirty. All the walls and doors are dirty and damaged. The bathrooms and rooms are grubby, blinds and lamps are damaged and broken. There were stains on the carpets, floors and couch. Very disappointed and would not recommend this house to anyone with any standards.

Handy location but.. .

5mins walk to to town so we could explore and be back Easily. Didn't need the car once we arrived. good sized rooms

The doors, stairs & floors were all very creaky so if someone got up in the night it would wake others up. No storage space for food. no washing machine. needs secondary glazing to reduce road noise. couldn't have back door or windows open due to number of smokers in adjacent buildings using the shared rear space - guess not a problem if you smoke

Pleasant, convenient and affordable stay.

Really good central location. There were four toilets, three of which had showers/baths which was really convenient as there was a lot less queueing to use the facilities. Rooms were comfortable, plenty of towels provided. Kitchen was well equipped for our needs.

Floorboards were very squeaky and there was noise from the traffic outside but you could bring earplugs if you are sensitive to noise. We just got used to it.

The property was adequate for our needs despite the issues described below.

It was good to have 5 bedrooms for our party of six. We were impressed by the efficient handling of a request for extra bedlinen following a sickness episode. There was very convenient 30 minutes street parking available in the side street next to the property which was great for our luggage on arrival and departure, and for dropping off tired family members after a long day out. Longer stay parking was convenient and at a reasonable price. It was also a short walk from the property to the city centre.

The creaking of the floorboards in the upper floors meant that when someone moved around in the night everyone was disturbed by the noise. Although it was good to have so many beds three of the rooms were cramped by having two narrow single beds. The lack of a washing machine was an issue. There should have been mattress protectors on the beds. There weren't enough saucepans available - we had to cook pasta in the frying pan as the three pans were required for curries (one vegetarian, the other with meat) and vegetables.

Great stay in Chester

A fabulous place to stay with friends. We were a group of four on a golfing holiday & the apartment had everything we needed. It was raining one day so we cancelled the golf and had a walk into the city. We couldn’t believe how close it was to the centre about a five minute walk. Parking was close by and cost £6 for 24 hours. Also a special thanks must go to Adam who mended the plug in one of the en suites and also made sure the TV was up and running to enable us to watch the England match ⚽️. We would definitely recommend the Storyhouse Gathering.

Fantastic Accommodation

Ideal base for Chester City centre. We only used 2 of the 5 bedrooms but the accommodation is well suited for a larger group. Beds comfy, everywhere very clean and lots of added extras. There was a little bit of road noise but nothing too bad. The service from the Outlooks team is very professional, will definitely stay again.
