The Sandstone - Chester Main Street

We all absolutely loved The Sandstone. There was 5 adults & 3 children in our party & there was plenty of room for everyone. The property was clean & had very good facilities. It is well situated & is 2 minutes walk away from the high street, local attractions & the city sightseeing bus, which is great value for money & gives you reductions on other attractions. There are loads of places to eat & there's something for everyone (we have picky eaters). We didn't want to leave & will definitely stay again.

The only thing that wasn't the best, is the shower situation. The pressure drops if you turn on a tap & goes cold. The pressure was better in the downstairs bathroom. The upstairs bathroom doesn't have a lock (the toilet does), so could do with a lock, to stop people walking in.

The location was perfect and all the rooms were great. Loved the events room. It was spacious with a fab long table. Well equipped kitchen. The bedrooms were fab too. Lots of beds.

There was an issue getting access so we had to make a phone call to sort it out but it was fixed straight away. Probably good to have at least one more toilet. The property maybe could do with a deep clean but understand its used by large groups so probably gets a good hammering.

So spacious, perfect location, quirky

Few cobwebs and it was very hot but we stayed during the heatwave so to be expected I guess

Excellent location for the centre of Chester and Chester racecourse Very easy access, parking nearby, well presented and very clean Would highly reccomend
