Fabulous Stay in Chester

Very clean and comfortable home in a perfect location. Walk just a few minutes and you are in the old town’s Main Street. A few minutes in the other direction and we visited ancient ruins. The house, especially the kitchen, had everything anyone could need.

Would definitely stay again

Excellent location, the house is in a great location for central Chester. Literally next to watergate street and all the bars and shops. Ideal for a group of 8 which we were. The shower head on top floor was broken albeit working but I reported this straight away. Could of done with 1 more bin bag as there was only 1 but besides that had a great stay 👍

No parking available but nearest carpark was only minutes away so not a major issue (when it’s not raining)

Perfect centralized Chester location that clean, warm and quiet.

Perfect location and very clean! We had more than enough room and bathrooms to be comfortable.

Only one key to the house. With many adults in the house it was an absolute BUMMER to have to figure out who would leave last to lock up. And then we’d have to text that person and figure out where they were to pass along the key. Get a keypad lock!

Location and the size of the property

Just minor things the blinds on the windows were difficult to operate due to the rods being broken. One of the beds had a broken base. A toilet brush in the shower room had been left really dirty.

Lovey - easy to get to shops/restrants

Lovely property - nice big rooms and spacious. Owners gave brilliant recommendations and replied very quick.

Just a little reminder to clean the highchair and might have been nice if the cot was dusted off and put up on arrival - but only minor touches as the property itself was otherwise clean and tidy

Lovely house for a family to stay and smack bang in the middle of Chester, perfect location!

Beds were small and quite uncomfortable, feel like if they’d have just spent a bit more money on bigger more comfortable beds the property would’ve been perfect

The location

I believe this is the same people who own Weaver House and they have the exact same problems here at Cestrian House, the blinds could not be opened or closed missing rods, most were in a bad condition, the seating in the lounge was very uncomfortable, only one fan for the entire house when temperatures were over 30 degrees, it was like an oven on the top floor.

Location is absolutely fantastic and property is very spacious and well equipped

The rear garden area could do with a little TLC. There was a Rat hole by the wooden shed and visible droppings at the side of it which puts you off a little, and members of our group would not sit outside considering it was a very hot weekend. The side access where you put the rubbish could do with a tidy up tbh

Perfect location for a weekend with friends

The location of the house is absolutely brilliant for getting into Chester - just a minute walk and you are on the main streets - did think we might get some noise from partygoers, but very little. There is no parking, but space to drop off bags. The parking at watergate street is easy to find and not too expensive. I would definitely come back here again.

There was nothing we didn't like, enjoyed our stay here and would return.

Great location for the city centre, the races and bars and restaurants. Beds were comfortable. Apartment overall was great. Shame there wasn’t mirrors in each of the rooms as the wardrobe doors are a dark mirrored.

Easy access, great hosts who responded to questions promptly. Great location, witching walking distance of main city area, restaurants etc. Very clean and comfortable.

No parking for cars we hired, quite expensive for parking but again this is not the fault of the hosts but because of the location of the property. We knew this when booking and we chose location over parking.

Wonderful weekend away at an outstanding property in the heart of Chester!

Excellent property, everything was fabulous. The location was amazing, within less than 1 minute you were on one of the main streets of Chester. Which was great, but even more amazing when you left the street to go back to the house there was no noise at all. Would recommend to anyone wanting to make the most out of their visit to Chester.

The only thing I could even think of as a negative is that there isn't parking. The other houses next door seem to have made their fronts garden into parking, so if it was a possibility I would definitely look into this. But having said that, the carpark that is recommended was great, literally 5 minutes walk away and very reasonable.

Incredibly creaky floorboards all over the house, whilst the house itself, the amenities and the location where great, with A full house the noisiness of the floorboards was distracting and at night made sleep difficult until everyone was settled, however, we would definitely book again.

Great house in a great location. Really nicely kitted out and so near to the shops, bars and restaurants in Chester city centre. Loved it.

Would be good to have mirrors in the bedrooms for doing hair and makeup. The wardrobe mirrors were tinted and so very dark.

Location was convenient for town, racecourse & restaurants etc. Upstairs was ideal, bedrooms were light & airy. plenty of storage & lovely clean fresh linen on the beds. Bathrooms clean & plenty of towels. Kitchen well equipped crockery, cutlery, pots & pans.

Lounge/dining area a bit restrictive for 8 adults, not enough seating. Minor points that would be helpful.. Instructions for using the hob & oven & a couple of dishwasher tablets would be appreciated. The bedrooms would benefit from additional smaller mirrors for applying make-up /doing hair.

Fabulous races stay in Chester

Fantastic location, 40 seconds from the rows but off the main street so quieter. All rooms were equally spacious and the kitchen was very well equipped. We were there as a group of friends for Chester Races and couldn't have been in a better spot.

The top floor bathroom had some damage to the floor which was disconcerting when using the sink.

Modern home from home

Kitchen was lovely, lots of room for us all.

The floor boards squeaked a lot so you can hear every step everyone takes at night. Blinds for the windows could have been a bit better, way too bright in the mornings. Overall cleanliness was good but the carpet in the living room could do with a clean - understandable though as it’s the living room
