Great place to spend a few days as a base, getting to know Chester (and viewing properties!!)
The location was perfect in the city centre close to everything. The availability of the parking (under the building) was great. Mostly spacious and comfortable
Size of the bathroom and the kitchen area was a slight disappointment

Great Location & Stylish Apartment - Happy- Not happy
Given a code before arrival with instructions so was well prepared on parking outside for a few minutes to collect the gate key for parking. Instructions good on where to go and what do to. Car parking key has key for the back door. Easy to get and easy to operate.
Room 4 is beautifully presented, modern and a nice size tv. Chairs in front of the tv ideal so you don't have to sit on the bed. The kitchen is small but ample for a short stay as well as the bathroom.
Feels safe with all the security boxes and keys etc. Great to park onsite (had to pay separately)
The room was way too cold. We had a 2night stay planned and had to leave after the 1st night. (given a refund for that 2nd night but not for the inconvenience of the first stay)
On arrival the room was freezing!
On monitoring the temperature it was only 17 degrees with temperatures dropping outside. The room is heated by a single electric panel heater on the wall. Set at a maximum of 19 degrees. The heat travels up the exterior wall onto the photos which are lovely and warm, but does not travel into the room itself. (it needs a radiator shelf)
The radiator was not ample for the size of room. Too cold to sit and watch tv.
We called the agency to advise this and they said the heating was controlled by them. They put the radiator up to 24, we went out for 1 hour and it made 'little' difference. We still could not sit and watch tv without the blanket from the bed. We advised that it needed a heater to warm the place up, but this was not an option. We were offered a £50 complensation.
We went out for the evening for a meal and returned 2 hours later at 9.30pm to find the room had warmed a little but still not enough to sit comfortably. We were offered a refund on our 2nd night if we wanted to cancel and go somewhere else. We could not find anywhere else at this late notice. (I advised we would leave, take the refund, but as parking has been booked separately, I would park until the afternoon. We actually left at 12.30pm)
I could not operate the oven/microwave - the instructions did not work for getting the combi oven or grill on.
The kitchen was freezing, there was no way of staying in here for a length of time to do anything with the door closed. There is a door stop BUT that then allows the cold air to travel into the bedroom/lounge.
The bathroom was cold with a small towel heater on the side. Not ample enough for this size room. The floor was cold. Not warm enough to have a shower.

A lovely city to visit & Deva Leisure good apart from the apartment being way too hot & stuffy.

It was way too hot & couldn’t open any windows. Very stuffy & smelt stale. The fan provided was totally ineffective.

Good value and well situated.
The constant banging of other apartment doors. Soft close door closers would easily solve the problem.
Also the tap in the sink and in the bathroom basin need replacing,

Lovely place, great location and would stay again
2nd time staying in Chester with this host. Clear access instructions, a great location next to the river. Surprisingly quiet given its literally in the town centre. The room is lovely big size with a big bed... Given the hot weather a fan was supplied without asking and the windows worked well.
The bathroom is a little small so gets steamy and I wouldn't want to cook a large meal in the kitchen area.. Although being in the centre of the city there isn't much need to cook for yourself

The size of the room. The decor and location of the property.
I prefer my mattresses to be firmer but it was still comfy. Putting the key back in the lock box was a bit of a challenge. Took some time as you really have to push it closed with some force.

Rooms are stunning, and spotlessly clean. The beds are comfortable and Netflix is available on the TV. There is parking at an additional cost.
It would be nice to have blackout blinds at the windows. The skylark blind was fantastic, and probably blackout, but this wasn’t matched by the one at the window, which was a shame.

The apartment was excellently equipped and spotless. The location was great, by the town wall and walking distance to the centre.
I was on the top floor and the skylight had no blind or any way to cover it, this meant that light was coming into the room the whole night at this time of year and made sleeping for me impossible.

Threats around the apartment of additional charges for things as simple as leaving an unwashed mug or plate.
We then saw the note about the bin bags which we then had to sort through all our rubbish and worried we were going to charged for potentially putting the wrong items in a bin. I think I cleaned that apartment more than I clean my own just out of worry for being charged for little things.

First..sort your hot water out.. ! I scalded my hand on the hot water tap when it was just a third turned!!!
Late check in at 1500 and early checkout at 1000. ..and being threatened with £10/hr early/late check in/out charges..Ridiculous..we ve paid a lot of money to stay. That gives you 5 hour turn around which is way over the “ if it takes us more than 45 minutes to clean your room you ll be charged”
Being charged for parking ontop. Maybe since we ve paid for parking we could leave car until early afternoon since next person can’t check in until 1500 ( hopefully 1400 in the future)..we felt pressured to get up and check out and move car and we re on holiday!
These remote properties are saving money on receptionists yet still charging the same prices as hotels and losing the personal touch.
