Our stay in the beautiful Old Water View was amazing.Our one night stay was part of our Coast to Coast Walk.Our Hosts were so helpful and accommodating from the point of booking ,answering questions and offering advice and suggestions to help us with our trip planning.The Property is beautiful with gorgeous views in a peaceful setting ,right on the Coast to Coast Route .We stayed in a twin en-suite that was very comfortable and immaculately clean.The Property has a lovely snug room with bar ( honesty bar if Staff not available) .Dave lit a fire and we had a comfortable place to sit with a drink and plan our route for the following day.Dave had lots of local knowledge and suggestions that were very helpful.Breakfast was wonderful,full cooked options available ,we opted for some lovely porridge and some toast on which we sampled the homemade jams ( of which a good choice is available to buy) We headed off feeling fully prepared for the day with an Old Water View packed lunch ( ordered the previous evening ) our stay was over too quick.Also to say that a forgotten item was founds in our room and reunited with our luggage before it was picked up by our luggage transfer agent.This small ,thoughtful touch was so appreciated and a common sense action that prevented a greater inconvenience .We thoroughly recommend The Old Water View and it will be our first choice on our next pass through the area .

Friendly proprietor and staff. The 2 rooms we had were clean and tidy. Very nice views from the rooms. They were quiet. The choice of things for breakfast were very good and set us up for most of the day. There were gardens with picnic tables leading down to small river which was picturesque. Lots of walks and boaty things to do just a short drive away.
