It was a pleasant stay with a very kind and nice landlord Fred.

The breakfast was very good, with a wide variety of options available. The room was nice and clean, and the accommodation was well prepared. I arrived very late, and Fred was still very responsive, promptly replying to my messages and making sure I could check in smoothly.

The room is close to the road, so it was quite noisy until midnight. The location was a bit farther than expected. And the request to pay by cash were somewhat inconvenient for travellers.

I would look for another place to stay when I go next time to visit family.

The location was ideal for the family I was visiting. It’s also close to town but in a quiet area.

The lobby smelled like sewage. They only accepted cash instead of credit card. I had to make multiple trips to the ATM to get all the cash I needed for them. Furthermore I could only give them the money by appointment which was inconvenient.

Good accommodation in this historic city.

Fred was a friendly and welcoming host. The accommodation was near a tram line for easy access from the main railway station and within walking distance of the historic centre. Fred served fresh breakfasts and provided helpful local information. The room was clean and comfortable with a view of the waterway. All together making a pleasant stay in this interesting city.

Lovely breakfast with a wide range of items served attractively. Very pleasant, attentive host, most willing to please. Good sized room, comfy bed and lovely bathroom. Artistic decor with quirky interesting features.

The rumbly, stiff bathroom door and the height of the mirror - too high for a 5ft 4in midget ! Both only minor dislikes.

Located on a canal close to the city center, welcoming and helpful host, clean and well-equipped room with easy access, neighborhood seemed nice. Pleasant atmosphere in general.

Bathroom connected to the bedroom only by a matted glass sliding door, beds too soft but that is subjective and seems to be the norm wherever we travel, WIFI strength somewhat unstable during the day.

Great location! Close enough that you can walk to city center, but distant enough that it is calm and quite. I loved being across the canal. It was very clean and had spacious room with a very comfortable bed and pillow. Bathroom was very clean and big.

I would have liked to interact more with host or guests.

A comfortable B&B close to the canal

A welcoming and helpful host who allowed us to check in early. Our room was of a good size with a view over the canal/river. The bathroom was also of a good size. It is located outside the city centre and was reasonably quiet.

Note that payment can only be made using a Belgian banking app or cash!

Very friendly host but the room is mediocre

Location is 15-20 min from main attractions on foot.

a bit noisy at night as our room was by the street, not ideal. Also, seems the bed and linen are not washed regularly. We asked for an extra blanket, and the host said here it is (already in the room). When we wanted to use it appeared it is a 50 cm by 50 cm blanket, I'm not sure I'd call this a blanket. The bed can be more clean, but it was very comfy.

The host is really friendly, flexible and helpful , the accomodation is wonderful and located within few minutes walking to the center.

It didn't include toiletries (shower soap, shampoo etc) only hand soap.

The staff is so friendly. They offered us Easter chocolate on Easter Sunday. The windows with the view over a canal was so nice. The sanitizer at the front door is nice.

They don't accept card payment. The stairs are quite narrow.

Totally worth it

The rooms are very comfortable, nice and silent for a good sleep. My partner enjoys the bright and well-equipped bathroom very much. The location is the best part because you are not far away from the city center by foot and could also enjoy the river, the green trees outside of the window, and the sunshine. The fresh air comes always inside to keep the room cool in the hot summer time. The owner of the apartment is very friendly and helpful. And we really appreciate the tasty breakfast everyday morning to light up the day. We had a great time here.

Pleasant

Nice location, right next to a canal and not horribly far from the city center. Spacious room, with a hair dryer. Big bathroom as well.

-The owner wantes us to pay immediately, without even leaving the luggage in the room, which we found rude and weird. -There was no breakfast, wven though there should be (I booked the room with breakfast on booking.com) - The floor and the bathroom were actually really clean, but once you look under the bed the floor is really dusty. My husband was constantly sneezing. - No mosquito nets on the windows which I personally find unacceptable when located so close to a source of water. The owner provided us with an anti-mosquito "device" but gave us a pill for only 1 day. When I asked the next night the answer was "sorry, we dont have anymore". The 2nd night we were tortured by mosquitos and sleeping with closed windows was not a solution, since it was really hot. - There is a laundry room with a washing maching, a microwave and a small kitchen which is ALWAYS locked- I could never understand why! To me it looked like a room that should have been accessible to the tenants. So basically to prepare tea I had to go to my room, which was on the 2nd floor and pick up the water from there. This made me seriously annoyed. - There is no reception and the check-in is at 18:00, which I find is really late. So, if you arrive to Ghent before, there is no way to leave your bags in the property since nobody is there. - All in all I find the room a bit expensive considering all the negative points.

Very helpful host, nice room, and nice and useful location. Even though not quite in the middle of things, I did most stuff by foot.

Rather minimal breakfast without fruit, and black tea ran out on the last day. Pretty heavy duvet given that in the summer the window should be closed to keep mosquitoes out (luckily the room was rather cool). No shampoo, no glass in the room (I got one when I asked).

Pleasant one-nighter

Located just a bit further out of the main city centre in a very quiet area - perfect for uninterrupted sleeps! Owner was very pleasant and accommodating. The check-in time on the booking was for 6-10pm but we were welcomed a few hours early with no issues.

The bathroom sink is not friendly to vertically challenged people like myself (could barely see the top of my head). Only noticed just before checking out that there's a stool under the sink to aid in this problem. No basics like shampoo, or at least I didn't see any.

Nice B&B, great location!

Great location, just a short walk away from the city center. Really easy and cheap to park (around the corner). The room was good, clean and the breakfast was simple but really nice. The host is super welcoming, helpful and gave us really nice tips.

The toilet was clogged, but after struggling a bit it worked again. It was a bit expensive for just one night, but considering how close it is to the city center and that the breakfast is included it was ok. You can only pay with cash or Payconiq (which does not work for Dutch banks since 1 Jan 2022), so we needed to find an ATM to take cash. The host didn't have a problem with this, but we could only pay him until the day after.

Contact met de eigenaar was zeer aangenaam. Werd gevraagd of we kaas en/ of vlees bij het ontbijt wilden. Of eerder vegetarisch.
