Jason was around when we arrived and gave us great tips which we good use straight away. The location is perfect, just outside the city centre but close enough to avoid a long walk or public transport. Free parking is just around the corner. The first night we have had diner at "The Waterfront". The next day we skipped the Culloden Battlefield and went to Fort George, Cawdor Castle and had diner at Cheese & Tomatin for an excellent pizza. The second day again we took Jason's advice and went for a walk from the B&B along the riverbank towards Carnarc point. From there to the Clachnaharry Railway swing bridge and than to Jammie Piece for breakfast. Great food and a great view at the Muirtown Swing Bridge and locks. We walked further along the canal to Inverness Botanic Gardens. From thereone we crossed the river at the Ness Islands towards Uilebheist Distillery for a well deserved local beer tasting. Next we went into the city heart, walked the Victorian Market and visited Leakey's bookshop. I bought a nice second hand book on fly fish fly tying. We finished of some left over pizza from the day before and went back to the city from some beer and music at "The Highlander". Next morning we left for Edingburgh. Thx Jason, for your good advice which made it possible to maximise our short stay.
We were fine with what was offered but if you want some tips we would have liked 2 chairs instead of 1. Another tip would be to have something flat in the bathroom so you can put down your shaving gear, toothpaste, hair gel, etc..

Place was easy to find easy to check in!
It's central heating and comes on at 6.30pm until 10pm and again at 6am until 9am
It’s absolutely freezing in the house be warned

The Double Room on the first floor was absolutely lovely, fresh sheets and nice ambient lighting options with great storage room in the closet and side of the bed. The bed was soft and the pillows were flat which I loved. The location couldn’t be beat, it was an easy walk to the city centre.
The only thing that caught me off guard was that the hot water shuts off after a certain time which I wasn’t aware of. As a person who takes evening showers, I was left with shampoo product in my hair when the water turned ice cold. The time cut off for hot water should be included for future bookings.

A comfortable room
The shower was very slow to drain which wasn't good
The tray with "snacks" was underwhelming

We loved this stay that was comfortable and clean. Great location for walking to city centre and also to drive to the Loch Ness. Nice room, tea and coffee provided and lots of brochures available. Easy access and Jason was very approachable. Liked that the twin beds were separated and not super close.
The parking was a little confusing as we had been told 50m past the guesthouse was outside of the permit zone and free, however there were permit signs all up the street. We parked in a car park next to the medical centre just behind the guesthouse but not sure if we were supposed to! We also noticed that the rooms were not very soundproof, which didn't cause us any issues but we were aware of being noisy early and late. There was also no fridge.

Really like the design and easy check in. Location was great!
Smell. The bathroom smelled and made the whole room smell. Also musty.

Clean, well appointed tiny room.
Too many stairs. Missing bulb over bathroom and musty towels.

Great location very walkable to the center of Inverness, safe neighborhood and well appointed rooms including a nice shared room downstairs. Shower had plenty of hot water and was easy to figure out. Host was pleasant
Bed was uncomfortable and left my back hurting and was unsure about how to turn on the heat and I didn’t want to bother the host so I was cold most nights but they did have an extra blanket. There was a small refrigerator but if you had leftovers from a restaurant you couldn’t heat them up which is a likely need as a solo traveler. Room was very small I would describe it as Harry Potter’s room under the stairs. If you had a large bag it filled half the floor space in the room. I managed ok but space is better for a person traveling light. I was traveling between 3 different countries so I required larger luggage. In retrospect I would have booked a larger room even as a solo traveler. I also would inquire in advance about heat because Scotland even in the summer can get cold at night.

Decent location in quiet street
Not clear instructions on which room was mine. I had to open the doors of two rooms to work out which one was mine. The room was tiny with lots of clutter that I had to re-arrange to make space for my bag and other things.

The host, Jason, was very helpful and knowledgeable about the local area. We wanted to have a short hike in the Cairngorms, and he told us about the best spots. You can also ask him about places to eat, and what to see around the town.
Riverbank Guesthouse is just a short, pleasant stroll from the center of town.
The room was lovely, clean and comfortable. The bed was very comfy. And the in-room tea making facilities were just so welcome.
The bathroom is a tad small, but that is to be expected. I was very glad it was a private bathroom.

Clean room with comfortable bed. Jason, our host was welcoming and friendly. Short walk into Inverness. Car parking was available. Downstairs had a lounge room.
Room and ensuite was small. OK for overnight stay, longer term movement around the room would be frustrating. We were in a loft room, two bags took up any spare space. There was a very small fridge for a litre of milk and a couple of drink cans in lounge downstairs. No small desk and coffee/tea facilities cramped. Shower water was tepid in the morning.

Well located bed only guest house near the river and town centre. Plenty of restaurants and supermarkets nearby.
The house is tastefully decorated and attractive. Communication from the owner Jason, was swift and detailed.
The price of the room was reasonable and although it was really very small, I would probably stay there again if visiting Inverness. Seems to be plenty of non permit parking available a short walk from the guesthouse.
There was no storage or any space for luggage in the single room. It was really just big enough for a single bed and small chair. The bathroom was also tiny and the plumbing was very noisy. Permit parking only outside the guest house, although there is parking close by (round the corner).

I was travelling alone for one night so the small single room was ideal. Bed was comfortable and shower was good, spot on for what I needed. Room was clean and warm.

A good location close to the station and amenities. The room was as described and was easily accessed with the keypad code.
I was surprised the room was not “made” during the day, some replacement teas would have been nice as all the decaf options were used on the first night.

Room was very comfortable and the bed in particular. There was a nice communal lounge to relax in. Location was very convenient with only a short walk to the city centre. Adequate free parking nearby. Charming and helpful host.
Very little to say here. A larger supply of coffee and.milk would have been welcome for this length of stay but that is a small matter

We stayed a week in our 'home away from home. It was impeccably decorated, cosy and comfortable. Extremely clean and tidy. Jason was the host of hosts, nothing was too much for him to do to make our stay so enjoyable.
Nothing! Loved everything.

Small comfy room. Location pretty handy for the centre of town.
There was only a very poor WiFi signal in the bedroom and the TV remote didn't work, but the owner was there clearing up a mix up where another couple had been told the same room number as us and so managed to fix the TV problem.

No complaints whatso ever. Jason our host showed what hielan hospitality was all about. Made my friends and I very welcome and overall a very pleasant most comfortable weekend stay was had by us all. He helped guide and give directions to our meeting location, was walking distance., and supplied a local map to get around town. All restaurants and bars were a short distance to walk to from the Guest House. There was no need to supply breakfast there were lots of eating establishments close by. I will be booking into Riverside Guest House again should I ever plan on visiting Inverness.

Had a very comfortable stay, Jason was a friendly and helpful host. Guided me about my trip doubts and also gave me a map for more help. Location was lovely by the river and only 15 mins walk from city center.
Nothing really noticeable.
