Kadac and his beautiful family

Kadac and his beautiful family let me check in early and I was greeted with a refreshing drink and a great chat.. perfect location.. peaceful and anything you need kadac can help you..I went fishing one morning for sunrise we had BBQ that evening with family his son on guitar 🎸 best experience IV had since iv arrived in Bali 3 week's ago... blessed 🥰

You found your stay in Amed

Tudes Homestay was the gem in our Bali Stay. As soon as we arrived we already regretted not leaving earlier. Everyrhing you may need for Amed is here. An amazing room with balcony and view of the sea and mt agung. No need to look further for your accomodation! A nice garden in front of the beach, snorkeling equipment, so many fishes (Pyramids snorkeling spot right in front of the house), showers outside. Amazing host, Kadek, was one of the best person we met on our trip, took us straight to our best snorkeling trip of our life, and went out of his way to help us, give tipps and even make beautiful videos and pics of us. My boyfriend also went on a fishing trip with him and can 100% recommend. Not only he's a great company but afterwards cooked the fishes he caught and the food was amazingly tasty. He helped us with rides and tips about the area and was always readily available. We really regret not staying longer and everytime we walked Amed we had a heavy heart by seeing his homestay. If you see this review and book this place, send hugs from Ole and Agnes to Kadek and his team.

Loved every minute of my stay

The location is exceptional. Very quiet but very central in Amed beach. Room was big, very clean with incredible view. The family ruining the place is kind and professional. Snorkeling and boat trip (organized by the owner) just in front of your windows.

Great value, location and people.

Beautiful property with the kindest people in Amed. Owner and staff were just so lovely we truly felt looked after. The room is spacious, the bathroom and shower great and comfortable and everything was super clean. The room has a deck where you can take the sweetest naps with the sound of the waves. Right in front of the beach, 10 meters from where the coral reefs starts, and close to many restaurants and shops. Great for swimming , snorkelling and beautiful sunsets. Delicious breakfast delivered with the biggest smile. Available drinkable water at all times. Thank you we loved our stay here

We found the mattress a bit uncomfortable but it might be just us.

Wonderful peaceful Homestay with amazing sunset & sunrise views!

Lovely large upstairs room overlooking the beach and ocean, with a balcony and a view of Mount Agung and the gorgeous green countryside. Kadek organised a driver to pick me up at the airport, which was great because it was quite late at night. Really nice Breaky each morning delivered to my balcony. Kadek and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Did their 3hr snorkeling trip which was good. The highlight was Tudes Homestay was peaceful, and a good spot to watch amazing sunsets and sunrise from my balcony and the water. You can even snorkel right out front. I will definitely return to Amed and stay again at Tudes Homestay. Thanks Kadek and staff!

The warmth of the greeting on arrival, presentation and cleanliness of the room, friendliness of the staff, quality and choice of breakfasts included, tours on offer, location on the beach, walking proximity to shops, bars & dining options.

Nothing. There was no hot water in the bathroom I had, but that wasn’t an issue as the outside humidity and temps are high and natural warm water temperature made it refreshing. The location on the beach is accessed via a small lane way and is sign posted off the main road, but may be a consideration for some if carrying your own luggage.

The location is super, near the beach. I liked especially seeing the busy people about diving, snorkelling. I had the upper room so I had a terrific view. The breakfast was very good and Kade with his son and daughter and the rest of the staff are very kind and helpful.

I think the bathroom needs things to repair. Also the shower was or to hot or cold. For me no problem but maybe other guests will have a problem

Not what i was expecting

On a more positive note, the breakfast was simple but good, and the staff were kind and helpful.

I had booked a standard room, so I wasn’t expecting anything fancy — I know it was a budget option, and I’m someone who adapts easily. However, there are certain things that are simply unacceptable regardless of the room category. Both of my pillows were completely moldy on the inside, and when I asked to have them replaced, my request was denied. On top of that, the bathroom was practically unusable. After trying to take a shower, the entire bathroom floor was soaked, and it stayed damp and humid for the rest of my stay. The room and bathroom in general were extremely humid, making everything feel uncomfortable. Again, I understand it was a very affordable place, and I wasn’t expecting luxury — but some basic standards of cleanliness and functionality should still be met.

Kadek and his staff are all very welcoming and kind and I felt so at home and comfortable during my entire stay. The breakfasts were delicious and the location is right on the beach so you get to enjoy everything with a wonderful view of the water. I would absolutely return to stay here the next time I’m in Amed.

Amazing stay with local family! Thank you for organising the BBQ for all the guests and sorry for losing your snorkel!! Love how we saw turtles everyday just in front of the accommodation! 3 days in a row! Enjoyed the “private experience” in doing so, as you can just walk out to the beach, spend 10 minutes looking and then swim with the turtles for about 1-2 hours per day - see photo! - all need to do is rent the snorkel kit at the Homestay (very affordable prices) A lot better than going to the Gilli islands as you only have 10-15 minutes with the turtles before moving on as you go via group or private boat snorkelling tour, so the money adds up quickly! At Amed, it’s “free” if you’re patient enough to find the turtles. Thank you again!

Welcoming, great location, warm smiles to carry in your heart forever

Right on the beach, warm friendly hosts who are exceptionally attentive without being imposing, we had 3 wonderful nights at Tudes and managed to do a snorkelling trip and an short tour of some lovely nearby places and still have time to relax and slow down by being in the warm sea right outside our room. I came as a single parent with my daughter and felt very cared for. The room had A/C which was needed as its super hot in Amed (for me-a brit), the bathroom was beautiful, the bed huge and theres a small fridge. It was a long way to travel but I'm so glad we did, wonderful hospitality like I've never experienced in my life.

If you want to enjoy real Bali friendliness

I loved it to the bits :) pure that special Amed wibe, friendly and relaxed. Fishermen Kadek and his son Putu, always ready to help, always with wide smile, make you feel home the minute you arrive. Apartment is clean, neat, has everything you need and you can watch sea all day long from your bed. It is right next to all the good spots (and spas!), for snorkeling/ closest reef you just need to step in the sea, Kadek can take you to sunrise fishing, or other snorkeling spots with his boat. So if you go to Amed, i highly recomend this place.

it’s metres from the quite beach where you can wake up and fall asleep watching the fishing boats and listening to the waves. the family are just soooo nice and they make an awesome omelette!

Perfect and cosy place in Amed

Best place we visited in Bali. The location was just perfect in a more quiet area of Amed. Accommodation is nice and clean, but best of all it is really friendly and cosy! The host Kadek and his son are really nice people and we had a great time! They organised a local fishing trip and made bbq for us in the evening. Really recommend!

A pleasant stay

A warm welcome from the host and his son. This property is right on the beach, so easy access to the sea, with a great view of the boats. They didn’t wake us up even though they leave to go fishing very early in the morning. On a busy road but not aware of the noise from the road. Had stayed in accommodation across the road previously but much prefer this location. There is a reef for snorkeling from the beach, which improves the further right, towards the ferry, you swim. Breakfast was fine and was brought to our apartment on time. A lovely view of the volcano from the balcony.

The shower was cold (not really a problem) and had a small volume of water. Need to be careful when leaving the bathroom area as it is a step down into the main bedroom. The floor tiles are very slippery if walking with wet feet from the shower.

Awesome place! On a great beach, close to everyywhere; shopping, restaurants and bars. If you like to swim in a crystal clear sea with millions of colorful fish and sea turtles this is your place. The view from your balcony is the Mount Agung and the beach. Room is big, very clean and there is a desk and lots ofplace for storage. Aircon works great and there is also a ceiling fan if you don't like aircons. Wifi is perfect.; fast and never cuts off. Breakfast is great with fresh fruits juice, eggs or pancake, and bottomless tea and coffee. Breakfast comes to your balcony! Father and son owners ( Kadek & Putu ) are awesome and very nice people. They help you with everything. Kadek is also a fisherman so you can arrange fishing or snorkelling trips with him too. I came here for 2 days and extended until my departure date from Bali ! Renting a scooter and exploring the area and meeting awesome Balinese people is what you need to do one day. Lempuyang temple is just easy 25 minutes ride with the scooter. There are many other amazing temples and viewpoints around Amed.

Nothing! Heads up: There is no entrance from the main street. You need to walk just 1 minute on the beach from the main street, to reach Tudes but that's why it's so quiet and beautiful.

This Homestay is an amazing experience! The room, bathroom and porch big and clean! Well designed too. Mosquito net AC etc Just ask them and you will receive! Friendly and Smiley Father and Son team. The breakfast is delicious! The location couldn't be better. V. close the best restaurant in town (Rimba)! The sunset rooftop hotel at Mejore is 3 doors down is a fun. ATM at IndoMarkt 10 minute walk. It's a on the beach & not on the road. You will walk to the beach on a path next to Bou-Bou restaurant which is also a great on the beach sunset experience.

INCREDIBLE LOCATION AND HOSTS FOR CHEAP PRICE

The location is incredible. Ocean views from your bed. You fall asleep to the sound of the waves. You can go in the water right in front of your room for some amazing snorkelling. The breakfast was delicious. The hosts very friendly and helpful. The room is clean and spacious with plenty of storage options. The outdoor dining area and sunbed on your patio is also awesome. From the beach you can walk up to restaurants. It is especially a nice walk on sunset with the silhouette of Mount Agung.

There was no showerhead. The bed was loud and creaking when you move. The doors difficult to open and shut. Overall did not mind about this things because everything else was amazing.

A beautiful place to stay Amed

The location is great, right on the beach and the room is very comfortable and large. The breakfast is delicious and you can enjoy it right on the beach while watching the sunrise. I hired a snorkel set from Kadek and snorkelled in front of the homestay on the beach, it is a great spot to see the local marine life. The room has great AC and a ceiling fan too, with a spacious bathroom and a hot water shower. Kadek is a fantastic host, super friendly and happy to help with any request. Highly recommended and we will be back soon for more snorkelling fun and beach sunsets.

Beautiful views, right on the beach

Amazing place to stay in Amed. Right on the beach with amazing sunset views of Mt Agung. The owner Kadek and his son were so friendly and kind. They also helped us arrange a scooter hire and car transfer, which made everything easier! Breakfast was great as well, lots of coffee, fresh fruit and juices, and banana pancakes or omelette. The room was spacious and clean, and had a great balcony, excellent value for money. Plenty of great Warungs within a few minutes walk, and a place a few doors down to order a beer and watch the sunset. Definitely stay here, you won’t regret it!

Wonderful family homestay right on the beach with amazing hosts!

We loved the view from the porch, being able to watch the sea, the fishing boats coming back in and the chicken and doggies roaming around on the beach. You can start snorkeling right from outside the place and will reach intact coral soon. We also saw a turtle while snorkeling :) Kadek and his family were incredibly kind and welcoming and we loved the homemade banana pancakes, fresh fruit and fresh juices in the morning!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! But do not expect a five star hotel. Many people in the neighborhood live very simple lives with chicken and dogs roaming around and most people here live off of fishing so a lot of boats are on the beach and going out every morning. The beach is also fairly coarse and pebbly. But for us this was exactly what we wanted and we had a wonderful time!
