AVOID! Bad service, cockroaches, etc.

This by far and away has to be one of the most unpleasant experiences I’ve had at a hotel. Firstly, it’s no where near where it appears on the map. Despite booking over a week in advance I was not told this until I had almost arrived. In addition to paying extra for transport I got to do an 24mins walking one-way to get to where I needed to be each day. Also I was complained to that I ‘had too much luggage’. I have one rucksack and a bag for diving gear and never knew a hotel to complain about luggage before especially when I was the only one carrying it. Then there were the COCKROACHES so so many cockroaches. Anywhere from 6-17 each night. Now the occasional cockroach is to be expected in this part of the world, but not that many especially each night. The room is also never cleaned. I had to put my bins out before I left in the morning to go diving. Then there just terrible customer service. I made two booking because my plans changed and came early. I specifically asked one afternoon if I needed to change rooms. I was told not until second booking date which was 2 days away. The next morning at 7am as I’m going diving the staff ran over to me and asked if my stuff was packed to change rooms. Apparently, after I had already been told I would not be changing rooms they messaged me on booking.com after 10pm the night before and told me I was to change rooms the next morning. I could keep going on the absolutely appalling standards that occurred… Indonesia has so many amazing locally owned businesses/hotels that should be supported but this was just too awful an experience not to warn others.
