Great value stay at friendly guesthouse in heart of walkable Amed.

Great central location to walk Amed, very friendly helpful family especially son Trio who works in SCUBA and had great information.

Nothing in particular at all. Of note for some, no hot water shower, but with the warm Bali temperatures, who cares?!

Great value for money, clean and friendly

The property backs onto the beach, location amazing proximity to shops and gym etc.. value for money is so good, very friendly owners, they have a cute dog that sits by your feet at breakfast, they clean your room daily, delicious breakfast! I will definitely stay here again.

Highly recommend

Trio and family were absolutely lovely, and so helpful and kind. Candy the dog was a welcome addition, always making sure we got to our rooms! Basic but clean rooms, gorgeous views of the volcano and the ocean. Would definitely stay again!

Great room, comfortable bed, space and a huge balcony looking onto the sea with a day bed and table and chairs as big as our bedroom! Lovely owners and good breakfast. They made our bed everyday as well

Beautiful place, amazing people, perfect location, value for money!

View of the volcano and the sea in one glance. Room was comfy and very clean. Balcony area was breezy. Room was made and cleaned every day! Came back to a room with cleaned floors, and a made bed. WOW! Pleasantly surprised. Hosts were very friendly and accomodating. Beautiful sunset on the rooftop terrace unmatched by any other places in close proximity. Convenient location right in the middle of Amed Central. Food, beach, dive shops, all within walking distance.

Air conditioning was weak, but kept the room cooler than the outside. Don't expect it to maintain anything below 26C. But the fan worked well to spread out the cold air. No hot water and soap for the shower which wasnt explicitly stated. Arrived at 1130pm and most of the shops had closed by then. So we had a refreshing cold shower. We got used to it quickly and it was refreshing.

Excellent stay, great value for money

Really friendly family, good breakfast of fruit and eggs with toast, room was nice and clean with a beautiful view of the volcano and the sea, terrace balcony was lovely to sit out on and the roof terrace was a great space to watch the sunset.

The hot water for the shower was a bit temperamental

Bedroom with amazing ocean view

- THE VIEW is absolutely everything. I loved seeing the ocean from the bed, the colors of the sunset and sunrise - you can see the starry sky at night, loved that too - I found the room very clean - it’s right at the beach, you can reach the corals area in 5-7 min walking - it’s close to restaurants & bars

- no soap provided, bring your own - only cold water in the shower, but it wasn’t an issue since it’s hot outside - the street to get to the apartment is narrow and with garbage, but I guess this is out of their control Honestly, the beautiful view over the sea made it up for almost all of this!

Definitely recommend!!

The balcony was so big. I drank my coffee out there every morning. I had amazing massages on the rooftop. I was able to get my laundry done and breakfast was delicious. Everyone was so kind. The location was great. I would definitely book again.

Amazing stay

Amazing place, I could see the volcano and the sea from the bed itself! Huge terrace with stunning view . Super clean Very cool rooftop with view and temple 🤩 Lovely family business, everyone is very kind very good breakfast Perfect location I had booked 1 night and ended up staying 4nights! Highly recommended

Absolutely amazing!

Sony Homestay is the perfect spot for your stay in Amed. The hosts are lovely and assisted me with tours and transportation. The location is perfect, only a few steps to the beach or local restaurants and shops. The rooms are clean and air conditioned, not to mention the view is breathtaking. I will definitely be back!!!

The only difficult thing is it can be hard to access after a big storm as the path can become muddy and slippery.

Excellent stay.

Excellent location. Very central, very quick walk to the beach and restaurants on either side. The rooms are large and clean with fan and wifi and Sony is a great host. Very accommodating and helpful. I work remotely and the wifi is excellent. Make sure to spend some time on the roof as well. I've actually come back to Amed to stay round 2. Thank you Sony.

Good value room with AC and own balcony

Sony Homestay is centrally located in Amed, an easy walk to restaurants, shops and dive schools. The air conditioned room was of good size and bright and it was cleaned daily. We loved the large private balcony with a sun chair, tables & chairs. Simple breakfast is included in the price. The owner lady also does a great massage.

This is a homestay best suited for those looking for good value no frills accommodation in convenient location.

We stayed for 30 days. It was a pleasant experience, we really liked the room and the host

Sony was very helpful, friendly and kind. Property is getting new things, it expands and makes our comfort even better. We are eager to see what i'll become in few years. Sony solves any problem very quick, thank him for that. The beach is literally 30 meters from the house, water is warm and clear. Window view is on the highest point in Bali - Agung volcano.

We saw some cockroaches for a couple of days, but we stayed for 30 days, so it was not long. Neighbors have roosters that crows every morning at 5 a.m. - not a host's fault

Amazing place with a fantastic terrace facing the ocean and majestic Mount Agung, yummy complimentary breakfast and a rooftop to chill with an even better view than from your balcony. Simple but have everything you might need (unless you're used to 5* hotels). The owner, Sony, is super helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay there again!

Superb

Sony and his wife are very friendly and welcoming. Sony gave us a lot of information about the area and took us on an amazing boat trip to do some snorkeling. We also had a nice massage on the roof top terrace. The room was nice with a little balcony and sea view.

the view this property had was absolutely out of this world. clear view of mount Agung. when we got to the rooftop I didn’t realise quite how spectacular it was going to be!!

Sensational!!!

From the day I checked in until the day I checked out, Sony and his family have been incredible host, if you after an authentic stay with locals, this is the place to stay!! It has a roof top overlooking the ocean, and an awesome view on Mount Agung!! Anything you need or want to do, just ask Sony, he took me fishing on a traditional boat, his wife gave me one of the best massage I ever had in Bali. When I checked in I was early, Sony invited me for a cup of coffee on the roof top while the room was being prepared, when I checked out I realised that the back tyre of my bike was flat and guess what?? Sony was there to have it sorted in no time!! My stay with them was one to remember and I do not think I can thanks them enough!! Probably the cheapest place I stayed in Bali, but definitely 5***** host!!!! From the bottom of my heart, thank you to you and your family, Suny, you made my stay in Amed the best memory I had for a while!!

nice place with great view

- the view from the terrace is amazing (mountain and sea view) - balcony on the room to hang out also with a nice view - location very central and close to the beach

- small breakfast without options to choose from - no toilet paper or soap in the bathroom - the design of the bathroom window is very odd with an open space that exposes you to the outside which makes privacy on the toilet a bit uncomfortable, also you can’t see yourself in the mirror as it hangs way too deep

A very simple but still nice homestay! The roof terrace is insane. The family is very friendly and helpful. The banana pancake they serve for breakfast is very good! The location is perfect. The room was very clean and cleaned every day.

It was extremely hot in my room despite the fan. I aired the room again in the evening and it was fine.

Terrace views of the mountain

The view from the balcony and the terrace upstairs was amazing! The room got quite hot (fan only) so we spent the heat of the day watching the view from the terrace and enjoying the ocean breeze. Beautiful sunset and the best vantage point. Friendly and helpful staff, great food nearby (recommend Warung Ole).

The price and description are clear about no air con but it does make it difficult to sleep when it’s hot. We slept with the windows open, definitely worth it for the amazing view!

Best place even for longer stays in Amed!

This place is simply amazing. The view from the room/balcony/rooftop is wonderful. Sony and his family are really nice and caring, trying to do their best for their guests. They made me feel home here. The breakfast is very good. The location is priceless: only a few steps from the beach. Highly recommended!
