Served a purpose…..

Apparently I asked for a quiet room, but being next door to the kitchen with a juicer grinding from early in the morning was definitely not quiet. The hotel wasn’t easy to find as we arrived on bicycles in torrential rain & most hotels appeared to be part of the same chain, I headed for the one in the advert then had to cycle back up the road to the actual hotel. We didn’t come into contact with any staff except someone operating the juicer in the morning. Nice breakfast, although we were charged for this after the initial booking without asking for it which was a little sneaky.

The overall appearance of the hotel, outside space especially, could do with a bit of a tidy. Whilst it was comfortable and ok for our overnight stop, it’s not somewhere I’d go out of my way to return to.

Excellent short break

Excellent breakfast which we enjoyed on the terrace. The views from our balcony over the sea to the white cliffs of Dover. The lift accessible from ground level to all floors.

It would have been nice to have had a reception area with information about the area, restaurants and places of interest for example.

Price for dog is high per day -normally per visit or lower charge per day. Sandwiches should be more crunchy.

Bed comfy, fairly spacious. Fairly good location.

No Aircon . Room was like a sauna. No fans provided No wall bracket for shower head, had to hold it to wash, a hundred euros a night and it's like this ??!! It's in need of modernization it's really old and not worth the price paid. No reception .. just a number to call or email No facilities for dog friendly hotel ! Cannot use garden , as that's ground floor clients only. They Charge 15 euros extra a night for your dog, only mentioned later on, and what are you paying for? Dog must stay in basket, cannot use garden , cannot go on bed, cannot be left alone. Poor!

Property seemed poorly managed. Had to walk through a garage to get to the lift. To access our room you had to walk up some narrow wooden stairs from floor below and had to kneel in the bath to have a shower! Very expensive for facilities offered. Maybe it is being renovated?

I wouldn't recommend this place because for these money you can get much better propositions.

The most we liked the view (it was the main reason why we choose this place). Also, the room was very clean which is good.

The room we got was totally not matching photos on the site: it was just really old everything and not same as on pics. So obviously the price for such conditions is way too high. It was a big disappointment.

The room was a good size.

Where do I start. The 'sea view', for which I paid extra, was a glimpse through trees, the house set well inland. No window blinds, just a thin curtain. No table on the balcony or cushions provided for the seating there. Bathroom poor - a bath with a shower fitting and nothing to hook the shower head into. No toiletries provided. Wifi non-existent. I was overcharged to the tune of £20 or more and, despite repeated requests, was not sent an invoice in which the charges were actually set out. Reception open only for half an hour a day, so unable to enquire of the owners/management. Despite saying that a room code would be sent in advance, none was sent. This hotel seems to think that tourists are cash cows and that they can help themselves to guests' money, with no justification. Don't stay here!

Personnel sympa, chambre avec belle vue, mais mauvais rapport qualité/prix

Personnel très sympathique, chambre bien située avec belle vue sur la mer et le lac.

Vu le prix de la chambre assez élevé (plus de 177 € pour 2 personnes/nuit sans le petit déjeuner), deux serviettes par personne n'auraient pas été de trop, avec un peu de shampoing, surtout que le ménage n'a jamais été fait durant notre séjour de 3 nuits. Une source de lumière dans l'entrée aurait été un grand plus, car on n'y voit rien en rentrant le soir dans la chambre. Cela aurait été bien de réparer la fuite dans le plafond de la salle de bain et d'enlever les morecaux de plâtres tombés au sol.
