A comfortable room in a great location

We had a very nice room with a sea view and a modern en suite bathroom. The host was very helpful, it was easy to get in with a code. The location is great, just off the sea front. It was helpful to be able to load and unload the car at the door as the nearest parking was a few minutes walk away. The included breakfast was very good.

Only thing was parking was a little tricky. There are paid parking places close by or if you are lucky you can park by the river for free. Only a 5 minute walk.

Great stay with fantastic Staff!

The location of the building is fantastic. Just 50 metres from the beach. In the immediate vicinity of several restaurants. And with only four rooms, there are only four tables in the breakfast room. It's like having your own private space.

Everything was fine. Actually, I don't have any points that were less than satisfactory. The reception was explained via email. The room was very clean. Everything was fine!

Great location. Quirky and clean accommodation.

Location. Very Quirky accommodation. Clean and comfortable 😌. Street parking is available . But do have to pay via parking meters . avoid busy and holiday times and street parking is very very limited as there are no designated car parks areas . Breakfast was very delicious . Host was friendly but didnt speak any English. But we still managed to understand each other . Overall a lovely place to stay mainly for couples i would say . But central location with lots of lovely restaurants and cafes to choose from .

Room was everything you need. Easy access. Great location near the beach.

As in many rooms there are too few hanging options, a simple hook to hang a coat or a towel will do.

No coffe/tea only a kettle.nothing in fridge.shower/soap in glass bottles no details what it was. Upgraded the room ??!! Not luxury.

Could not access. No contact from proprietor. Had to find alternative hotel.

Wouldn’t stay here again

Comfortable clean spacious room in central location

No available parking / had to drive round to find paying parking. No reception in building, nobody there when we arrived, called a number, had to wait 10 minutes for a return call, told it was self check-in but instructions for room key were very basic, difficult to open key box so the whole arrival experience was very stressful.

Friendly, helpful owner / lady serving breakfast. Comfortable, large bed. Excellent shower. Close to seafront.

Difficult to find due to many, narrow one way streets. No on-site parking so had to leave car on road side and empty it of all our luggage.

Lovely welcoming B&B located close to the sea front

It was a comfortable B&B decorated in a bohemian style. The room was large with an excellent bathroom. The sea view was nice (room 7). The two ladies we dealt with were very friendly but with limited English but we managed to communicate. Breakfast included croissants, bread, butter and jam with plentiful coffee. You could pay for extras e.g 4 euros for an egg. We would definitely stay there again.

The entrance could do with a bit of love as it detracts from the lovely bedroom. Beware that parking in Wimeraux is tricky. Free parking if you can find it is on the far side of the river. Parking close to the B&B is limited and potentially expensive 30 euros for 4hours max. Parking is free between 7pm and 9am.

The room was good enough. Clean and tidy. Shower was ok. Did the job.

Breakfast was not very good and had to pay cash for upgrades on the breakfast. There is no parking for free nearby. Cost me 30 euros to park close to the hotel for one night. The advert states there is free parking on site. Not true.

Not as planned because of the weather. We like to walk but the wind made it impossible.

The proprietor/hostess was charming, helpful and very friendly. We arrived around 2pm, an hour earlier than our booked check in time, and this no problem at all. Our room on the first floor was large, clean and comfortable. It was only a short walk from the beach.

We were put off by the dog being in the breakfast room. The little daughter of the proprietor (about 2 years old) helped by literally handing out cakes. She was very sweet, but not yet ready to help from a hygiene viewpoint. She dropped a cake on the floor, just about rescued it from the dog, and put it back on the table with the others. It wasn't important to us but there was no control panel for the TV. We didn't notice until we were in bed and didn't want to go back downstairs to ask.

Right next to the beach and near some excellent restaurants.

Delightful staff, friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and spotless as was the bathroom. The shower had good pressure but was loose on the wall. The location is perfect.

Could be my fault for not reading the notes but I thought parking was part of the deal. You need to find a space, free between 19.00-09.00 but very carefully policed thereafter. We were there in torrential rain and strong winds which slightly coloured our stay.

The establishment did not live up to expectations but we liked the location.

Excellent location close to the beach although a little difficult to find as some of the one-way streets in the area seem to have had their "direction" changed. Our room was comfortable and calm and the shower room was spacious.

The downstairs did not seem to be very clean. The shower attachment in our bathroom functioned well but appeared to be taped to the wall. The toilet had not been properly cleaned and no soap or shampoo were provided. The towels were small.

A bit disappointed

The interior was nice and clean. Modern bathroom. Friendly lady on the phone and very friendly man in the house in the evening.

Complicated procedure for getting the keys, when we were standing outside in a blazing storm. Duvet was not comfortable, probably synthetic, and also thin, so a bit cold. Although we paid for breakfast, and the lady promised to leave something for us, we didn't get any. We had to leave before 7 in the morning. Tap in the bathroom was wobbling.

Didn’t feel loved really

Nice clean room , warm etc . Plenty of coat hangers and mirrors , nice and quiet .

No milk , sugar or water in room , bottled water was included I noticed when I booked , not a big problem as I’d bought some water with us but makes it that bit more comfortable rather than feeling a nuisance ! Front door a nightmare to unlock as very old door , ok in the day but pitch black at night could do with a light outside . Wasn’t enamoured with breakfast as baby ( very sweet ) toddling about and dining room full of plastic toys had to clamber over to sit down just a bit strange . Breakfast ok no milk with tea and cups could have done with a dishwasher cycle . I feel mean but you did ask ! Also big to do when we left over 2 euro tax as I’m not worried about the cost but think it was already paid but lady wasn’t going to let me go so paid up .

Probably the worst stay ever

That the owner showed me where I could park nearby.

This is essentially a B&B, arriving Sunday afternoon at 3.30pm, there was a message pinned on the front door (no bell or knocker) to call a number that just went to voicemail. On the third attempt to contact the owner he popped his head out of a window and came down to let us in and show us around. It was cold and dim and had a very strange odour, my partner did not want to stay, but as it was only 1 night and payment had been taken, we left our clothes in the bedroom and went out till it was time for bed. It was a cold night with not a lot of heating. The towels were small and the shower room looked as if it needed attention. He pointed out a balcony we could use but it had bird droppings all over it and it looked very unhygenic. We didn't stop for breakfast and got out as quickly as we could. The final insult as we were leaving the wife asked for tourist tax to be paid which she showed me on her phone, which I did and left promptly.

Friendly couple who ran the property.

The exterior of the property is dreadful and very unwelcoming. There is no fire escape from the top floor. We paid for the "Deluxe Seaview room" but this appeared to be furnished from a car boot sale and the sea view was through a narrow gap between buildings. Far too expensive for what it was .
