A real find!

Great location, so much nicer than most cheap hotels near Calais. Lovely location near the beach and lovely town. Great breakfast. It’s sort of faded grandeur. Clearly not been decorated for a few years but very clean and a fab historic Art Deco building . Staff excellant !

Reasonable value for money and a good breakfast. Clean, and bed was comfortable. Quiet location.

Breakfast was good but strange to be asked on arrival at check in how many mini croissants/mini pains au chocolat/slices of bread etc we were intending to eat in the morning at breakfast! When you haven't seen them before it is difficult to know what you are going to want!

At no point in our stay were we able to connect to the wi-fi, either in our room on first floor or downstairs right next to reception, yet we were told we should be able to as no red lights were evident on the router! (Admin were on a different wi-fi when I asked about the second wi-fi option that was coming up with a signal!) Hotel has enormous potential but is exceedingly tired/jaded. Really quite sad. Bar not open in the evening so no pre or post dinner drink.

Pleasant stay.

No kerb appeal, however a nice clean hotel. Staff were pleasant, nice grounds, not far from village centre. Large carpark, useful because it would be very difficult to park in the village centre.

The receptionist was nice but didn’t speak a word of English.

The room was very small and didn’t have enough lights. There was a light switch for the celing put no lamp! The bathroom was extremely small, could hardly fit and I’m not big.

Charming old-fashioned hotel in a good location with friendly staff.

Very authentic, charming old-fashioned hotel, in a good location. Very friendly staff, who put up with my terrible French patiently and also spoke English.

It was a tad noisy due to bad isolation in the evening, but we did sleep well in the end. It's the price to pay for staying in a charming old building.

Handy location

Very dated and desperately needs updating. Shower slide didn’t work. Advertised with bath, but no plug. Had to leave bathroom door open as the light in the bath wasn’t much brighter than a candle. Extractor in bathroom not working. One power point in room.

Charming, old world atmosphere

Lovely old world hotel, very charming with lovely features including the staircase, bar and the sitting room. My bedroom was charming, calm and clean.

The lady on reception was hassled, and had a lot to contend with.

Warm welcome and cozy rooms.

Lovely greeting from staff on arrival. Secure area to lock my moto. Nice spacious gardens. Dog friendly. Breakfast was spot on. Nice and friendly service from the morning crew too. Great location for beach and village centre.

Bar closed at 2000. Exterior and interior looking a bit dated and could do with a spruce up. That said, I would stay here again.

It’s an old fashioned,quaint, typically French hotel. No airs and graces. Had meals there but never actually stayed till now. Breakfast.Good choice. Fill in a form the night before for bread/croissant/ pastry. There’s a wide variety of cheese, meats, jams etc on the buffet

They used to have a really good restaurant but it’s only breakfast now, shame really.

Quiet location and friendly staff

The location here is lovely and quiet (but the town is only a couple of minutes walk away) and the staff are very friendly and kind. The fittings have been around for a while so not the place for you if you like mod cons! The family room was two interconnected rooms (rather than one room as the site suggested)- this was perfect for us. Breakfast was generous so we were happy!

Good location, good value for money for one-night stay on way to ferry port in a lovely location, very friendly staff. Family room (two separate rooms with adjoining door) was very convenient.

It was a perfect holiday spot. The atmosphere of the hotel was so nostalgic and fits well with the French beach town feeling. The hotel was incredibly clean, our room was smelling roses:) We also had a great view in our room. Everybody was so polite. We will definetly visit again.

Substandard. Reviews far from matching my families experience!

The hotel was extremely outdated and in desperate need of renovation and repair. The hotel was musky, dark with dirty stained ripped carpets throughout foyer and in our room. There was a ball of dust on the floor near the children’s beds. Discoloured yellow pillows and hair on the bedside cabinets. Broken and stained bathroom tiles, and one towel provided for four guests! I can honestly say worst place I’ve ever stayed in, couldn’t wait to leave. The list is endless, so best just to avoid!

An okay stay, but would look for other hotels first

The location is good, the staff were pleasant, and, despite the stains in the carpets etc, the hotel was clean (not even fluff under the beds).

The hotel is extreamly dated, with old stains in the carpets and even on the bed sheets. The room smelt musty, probably because there's no air flow to the bathroom, meaning we had to keep the windows open the whole time we were there.

Pas de chauffage ni de prise électrique dans la salle de bain, et une seule dans la chambre. Pas de plateau de courtoisie, pas d'ascenseur. Bref, un rapport qualité/prix scandaleux.
