The property is excellently located in Venice and the staff are very friendly. We loved the roof top terrace which was part of our room booking. There was no noise in the area during the night which made our stay comfortable. The rooms were very clean.
The attic room we stayed in did not look like the pictures on booking.com, so we were a bit surprised upon arrival. There were a lot of stairs to climb to get to our room and even more to the terrace. We totally understand this what with it being an old building but it would have been helpful to know this before booking. In general, the room looked quite tired and dated.

Apt San Polo is in a fantastic location, just off the Campo San Polo, about 15min walk from the train station, 10min walk to the Rialto Bridge and 15min walk to San Marco. The roof top terrace is amazing. Be aware that the 2nd bedroom is on a mezzanine level.
Four flights of stairs! But we knew about them in advance and this is what it takes to get that rooftop terrace.

Everything. Beautiful city and the apartment matched the city vibes and feeling.
Bit hard to find the reception at first, but nothing that I would say hurts the customer experience in any way.

The location was great, right near Rialto Bridge. Staff responsive even though not on site (they were in the main building)
It didn’t appear to be the location originally thought upon booking. We were told the day of that we were in the annexe. (200m from main apartments). The rooms were too dark. No one mentioned we had to carry our luggage up 4 flights of stairs until I asked.
We booked the 2 bedroom junior apartment. If I knew earlier, I would have booked the three bedroom so we were in the main building. The floors were on an angle and while I understand that it was an older apartment, the mattress on the main bed was sliding off the base. I felt like my husband and I were too alert that we would roll to one side during the night to have a comfortable sleep.
I just wanted more transparency so that I could decide for myself if I would put up with the above.
