    Just knowing this hotel has been there since the middle ages is fascinating. The room was great for a solo traveller, and even though the bathroom was outside, it was private for my own use only. The breakfast is incredible and generous, as is the restaurant area which is roomy and well decorated. Location is in between Rialto and San Marco which was convenient. Would return!

    Positive: Excellent location in the heart of Venice, fairly clean rooms, and very kind, helpful receptionists. Negative: The building and furniture are extremely old, and the room was very small. In our room, the electricity only worked when the key was inserted, but whenever it was on there was a constant electrical buzzing noise. We had to turn off the electricity every night to be able to sleep quietly. The double room had only one chair, and the bathroom was also extremely small. They do not provide shampoo, only shower gel. We stayed in a room on the first floor behind the kitchen. I honestly do not think this room should be offered to guests. Every morning the breakfast preparation started very early and it was extremely noisy.
