I have nothing negative to say - I am loving it and extended by a week

Great value, perfect location and super nice staff. The place is down a path from the road so it’s nice and quiet, and the view of the lush river valley from the room makes it a delight to jump out of bed in the morning. Highly recommended.

Fruit plate for breakfast is something I look forward to. The staff teach me indonesian. The gardens a lovely.
Some rooms need an update. I've stayed in a few.

Big room and air conditioned.
No outlook and next to a construction site. No TV and not always good supply of hot water.

The location is perfect - one parallel from the main road. You have a 40-50m walk down to the hotel, so you are well away from the street. Lots of restaurants and supermarkets a 2 min walk away. The staff was very nice and helpful. We used their driver, Made, twice and it was very convenient and not overpriced. The breakfast is a set menu (3 choices), so do not expect a buffet full of variety, but it is made fresh on order. Our first room was a little bit disappointing (I had asked for a room safe from mould and humidity reading others' review and did not get lucky), but they change us for a room higher up and it was much better. It is basic but great quality/price wise. The pool was clean and quiet.
The restaurant did not offer much, so we mainly ate out, which is not a big problem.
If you travel with a child, clarify with Booking includes your child's breakfast as we had issues with this.

The staff was so kind and the service was great
The entrance so far of the principle road and so dangerous i injured my finger there
The room was very dirty. The bed covers, towels, and pillows were damp and were not changed during cleaning. The mattress had springs and was very uncomfortable. The shower and bathroom were really dirty, with too much humidity and clogged water.
Two lizards even entered our room.
The wood in the room was very old and damp.
The containers
Apart from the staff, who were friendly and helpful, everything else was not good.

The location of the hotel is very central, in the busy area of Ubud while not being noisy. The hotel is pretty but the interior of the room is quite old and would need some refurbishment
Quite old interior

Quiet location. In the madness of Ubud On walking distance to main road. Small complex nicely situated. Staff friendly, breakfast ok, nothing special. Room
Are big and clean with a nice balcony. Bathroom a bit old but it works and provides hot water. Swimming pool small but sufficient. Whole complex (aa most locations in bali/ indonesia) are somewhat expired
Ubud 😂. Never encountered such a overcrowded and touristic place

The serenity of the location but proximity to town
No showers screen or curtains.

The location was just off Bisma street, easy walking distance to restaurants and shops. It's Balinese architecture and charm and the staff were wonderful and a beautiful breakfast was served! Grounds neat and tidy
I booked this accommodation last minute due to change in our travel plans, I didn't like the bathroom as it was very basic BUT given it was a budget friendly accommodation I can't complain

Beautiful place, great gardens and views, fantastic staff. Ive stayed here twice so far and will stay again on my next visit to Ubud
I would have preferred a separate shower instead of one over the bath tub but this was a minor issue

I had a peaceful and relaxing stay at this beautifully landscaped hotel. The location was great, and the pool was a nice bonus for unwinding.
Widi, one of the staff members, was especially helpful, professional, and polite. When I mentioned the safety deposit box in my room was broken, she quickly arranged a replacement for the next day. The staff also kindly helped carry my luggage.
The room was well-equipped with a kettle, fridge, and safety deposit box, which made the stay even more comfortable.
Highly recommended for a restful break in a great setting.
One thing to note: there are quite a lot of stairs around the property, which could be inconvenient for those with mobility issues or anyone who struggles with stairs.

Staff were lovely. Beautiful buildings with character. Lovely breakfasts.
Lost hot water on final day. Stone paving can get very slippery in wet (moss?).

Perfect location - close to Ubud centre but in a calm, green place. Stylished buildings, beautifull garden and swimming pool, bigest appartment we had (with fridge). View on the jungle from the room. Very nice staff. Good service (laundry, driver, bike's rental, spa centre).
Water dropping from bathroom ceiling when it was raining (and it was every day). Not sufficient light in the room.

This is a truly beautiful property that really immerses you in its Balinese character. All the rooms were spacious and clean, and the pool was kept in pristine condition.
Location is also convenient for exploring the rest of Ubud, and doesn’t have some of the monkey problems accomodation closer to the monkey Forrest has.
Overall nothing to fault and I would definitely stay again!
Not a con, but worth realising that the entrance to the accomodation is over a 100m wooden walkway (that is too narrow for cars) and down several flights of stairs - so probably not the best choice for mobility-limited visitors

All fabulous, wonderful location and exclusively helpful staff. A totally joyful experience.
Bathroom update would further improve and more consistently warm/hot water for showering.

The architecture is beautiful, the staff is really helpful and welcoming. Close to the main road.
The room needed some renovation, it smelled really bad due to humidity (it was clean!) I had a hard time breathing when in the room and especially when trying to sleep. While Bali is humid and I understand that it can be hard not to have any sign of humidity in the room, I think they could still renovate and make it better. I stayed in other places in Ubud and there’s was a smell due to humidity but not that bad…

Verry good breakfast.
Nothing, verry good place, would stay here again

Fantastic location, beautiful rooms and complex, great pool and excellent staff.

Location is excellent as you are just out of the main area of ubud yet can very easily walk in to the hussle and bustle. The hotel is on a hilllside and very pretty. And very tranquil. There are lots of stairs.
I loved our stay, my only comment would be it was difficult to put contacts in with the low light in the bathroom. The lighting in the bedrooms is low too so a bedside lamp that you could read with would also be great. I also hear they used to have umbrellas by the pool, but they don’t now, hopefully these will come back.

Quiet location yet 2 min walk to the noisy hustle of Ubud. Picturesque buildings, breakfast included option, quiet restfull pool with jungle feel backdrop.
Next door room noise, no noise insulation.

The location is beautiful, located close to everything, and very serene and peaceful.
Some of the door/window closures were not flush, so we got bitten quite a few times in the night.

Very close to the city center. Very kind staff.
Breakfast a bit poor. Old furniture in the room.

Charming looking property, very authentic Balinese villas. Some issues with plumbing, which were promptly rectified.
Staff were super-accommodating, even changing rooms to decrease steps for our less mobile guest.
Some cute wildlife to be spotted around the property.
Lots of steep steps due to location on side of steep hill. Rice fields at entrance were in fallow, which made for a pretty ugly entrance, but overall a comfortable stay, close to Monkey Forest.

What is not too love about Nicks
Great location
huge rooms
Fantastic Balinese architecture
Location great. And not noisy!
Not much to dislike.. one could say the bathrooms need updating - but what place in bali doesn't.
They are still awesome

Location and facilities
4.0 / 10.0
The location was right next to the monkey forest and ubud centre but not in the middle of it so it was quiet. The scenery at the accomodation was also amazing. The staff tried to make us feel comfortable but the rooms need updating.
The room and bathroom had visible mould in it and was causing me breathing problems. The shower head was pointing towards the bathroom floor rather than bathtub so every time we took a shower there would be a small lake beside the bathtub. The breakfast was not the best I’ve had either.

Good location and not in a busy street. Room was clean and spacious, bed comfy, staff verry friendly.
That i stayed just one night🥲
There was space for a small table and two chairs .. would have been nice .. to eat soup in the room at 3 am hahaha (i was just hungry)

Beautiful hotel, great location, fantastic pool and staff
Just missing a couple of things like shower curtains and decent wi-fi
6.0 / 10.0
The rooms are large and the property itself is charmingly designed if you have no mobility issues. There are large stairs which would be problematic for some people.
The bathroom was really damp. There was no ventilation or fan in the bathroom so the walls were black with damp and it smelt damp. I tried to air it out as much as possible by opening the windows.
