If you are looking for a dog friendly place to stay then this is the spot!!

Great place, really friendly and in perfect location. Room was nice, exactly as shown in photos. Very dog friendly, had treats, bowls and beds set up for our two dogs when we arrived which was a lovely touch. Will definitely be staying again. Thank you!

Fab location

Fabulous location! Hosts were helpful and polite plus honest about the parking and possibility of noise outside. Liked the nice touch in our room of valentines choccies plus our little dog was made welcome

Expensive due to valentines stay but was our choice and limited accommodation available in bowness. Bed too small

Breakfast was spot on and good sized portion .

Really good value for money considering we had a dog. Fan in room was good bonus. Just what we needed for two nights away. Hosts . Just lovely people. We will definitely recommend.

Location is central

Rooms was extremely small and definitely not 18m2 as advertised. I'd say it was 9m2 maximum. It felt very claustrophobic.

Good location but dont book if u intend on spending much time in the hotel

Location was great

Bed was really small and uncomfortable. Pillows were horrific - we have both come back with really bad back pain. Can't have any hot food or takeaway- wasn't offered any options to eat downstairs if we did bring food back. toilet and bathroom were split on either side and were very small. functional but small. NASTY MESSAGE asking not to come back(not planning to) sent to us from the owners after posting an honest review. Worth noting for future travel.

Ideal staycation

Centrally located. Easy to walk wherever in town you need to be. Communication prior to arrival was great. Angus greeted us as planned on arrival and was really friendly, knowledgable and amenable. We had the room with skylight only, but even in the 30 degree heat, it was cool and we slept better than at home!

The place to stay if you have a dog

Wonderful reception and truly love dogs there. We had a block wide power outage the first night but the owners were extremely accommodating. If you have a dog this is the place to stay.

Outstanding Stay!

The hosts were absolutely outstanding, it is right in the middle of Bowness so ideal if that's where you are planning to be, the room was spotlessly clean and the four poster bed was comfortable. Absolutely no complaints especially for the price! Breakfast is extra but very good and definitely worth the price - just try finding anything as good cheaper in Bowness! No onsite parking but there is a carpark 5 minutes walk away which is reasonably priced for a couple of days although it does get busy at peak times so if you are planning on driving somewhere for the day it would be advisable not to get back too early.

The toilet in our room was a little cramped (separate toilet and shower) and the shower room wasn't enormous but it wasn't a huge issue. It wasn't a problem for us but it is an extremely dog friendly place so if you have an issue with them it's possibly not the place for you!

Great value comfortable accommodation in the Lakes.

Hosts were very accommodating. Room was very comfy and had everything we needed. Great location in the middle of town.

Lack of parking. Had to pay £21 to park in town when we were only there for 2 days.

Small, friendly and welcoming B&B with a personal touch!

The location of the accommodation is excellent. Room was more than adequate, providing everything that we needed. The breakfast was excellent, prepared by chef Angus, the owner.

The only downside is the parking. If you don’t arrive early then you may struggle to find a parking space. That’s the downside of having such an excellent location. Angus does provide directions to the nearest car park.

Lovely clean room, great shower and our pampered pet Jack Russell was totally pampered. Don't skip breakfast because it was much better and much better value than the one we had out.

A few days in Bowness

Everything and everyone was really nice. The room was very comfortable, and (we had the "suite") large. The location couldn't be better, 2 mins from the lake😁. The building is very quirky😁. Nice touches like fresh milk for your room and bathrobes. The spa bath was very welcome after hiking 😏😁. Great check-in policy! We didn't have a dog, but the place is very dog friendly, and we might come back with my daughter's dog! 🤣 The first pic below is the view from the room, and the second is from the Jetty Museum, about a 10-minute walk and well worth a visit.

The lack of parking makes loading and unloading a bit fraught, but apart from that, nothing to gripe about 😁. On the parking front, the car park is quite close, and the 3 day ticket is very good value, about 7 pounds a day😁, compared to York, it's remarkably cheap 🫤.
