Great location with parking

Sandra was extremely friendly and helpful. She gave excellent recommendations for food and walks. The room was sparkly clean and the bed really comfortable. Great location within a short walking distance from the marina and Bowness. Parking on site. I would highly recommend.

5 star at a budget price

Ive stayed here before and that is why i booked it again, Sandra who runs and owns the property cannot do enough for you, she helped us were to go and eat and places to visit, she was really helpful with everthing, nothing was ever a problem, she even let us leave our car at the property after we had checked out free of charge till we left for home. I would recommed Lingwood Lodge to anyone who wantedto stay in Bowness, its clean,tidy and spotless and location wise is perfect, just a stroll down to everywere and everything Bowness has to offer!!! all in all i will be using Sandra and her Lodge for every visit to Bowness, looking forward to the next break there already

perfect base for enjoying the local area

sandra the host was very helpful on arrival and departure offering advice on sights to see. The lodge is located within an easy 3 min stroll to the lake and 5 mins to the centre of bowness. The room itself was very comfortable and clean with all the facilities needed. excellent value for money.

The host was kind, thoughtful and very accommodating. The bed was so comfortable. The heating was presumably central controlled and our room was the perfect temperature all the time. This lead to a very cosy feel, thank you.

Lovely place.

The location is ideal for visiting Bowness and all it's attractions. Nice to have parking. Rooms a good size and very clean. Coffee machine and tea making facilities. Gina was very friendly and helpful. Giving us ideas where to eat locally.

Quite steep road up to lingwood if you are less able. Steps up to entrance maybe a problem for some.

A very nice place to stay, but not suitable for elderly people.

We enjoyed out time in Bowness, especially the ferry boat trip on Windermere. Our room was spacious, clean and well appointed. Sandra and Carl were very attentive hosts.

Although we knew that breakfast was not included in the price, finding and getting to a good cafe proved tedious. The ruckus made by two guests in the room next to us, returning after midnight, kept us awake for two nights. Thankfully, they had gone by the third night! The shower temperature could not be controlled; it was either very cold or extremely hot. We only used it once, very briefly. The slope of the driveway is very steep. To avoid this, we always returned by taxi.

The locations of the property, was two minutes walk from the main lake pier and then another few minutes to the shops and restaurants. It has parking, so no worry about that in a busy tourist location. Sandra and Carl, were great and very helpful. They accommodated our additional requests.

Very good location, nice and friendly owners, comfortable beds

The room was small and rather uncomfortable. There was supposed to be a fridge in the room- but it wasn’t working (in two other rooms the same problem)

It was a lovely weekend break great location close to town centre and lake .Excellent short break.

Location was excellent within walking distance of town centre and the lake. Accommodation was clean and comfortable with tea and coffee making facilities and provided tea, coffee along with an assortment of biscuits and muffins which was a nice touch. Our host Sandra greeted us warmly and was very pleasant and knowledgeable about the area.

Great location and friendly staff. Really peaceful. I can hear raindrops and smell wet grass. They provided both cot, Peter the rabbit duvet, and high chair for my bub.

Great location and lovely property.

The location is perfect! Nice and close to the lake, shops and the ferry. Less than a 10 min walk. The room was well kept, clean and spacious. A large window with a lovely green view. Complementary Border biscuits added a nice touch as they're some of my favourite! On the upstairs landing there is a decent sized selection of DVDs to take back to your room. The bed mattress was rather soft and while I prefer a more firmer mattress, it was super comfy and I slept like a baby each night! The owner was away during our stay and was being managed by a lady who was very welcoming and provided some much appreciated local advice.

The parking is tight and atop a steep slope. However, its still free parking so it wasn't too much an issue. I noticed from a goole review image that there was a breakfast/dining room. We knew nothing of this so not sure if this is no longer a thing? We would have absolutely had breakfast here if it was available.

The location and the host was very much welcoming.. The entire apartment arrangement was very much homely and my family and kids liked the place very much.. it’s perfect for family stay and I would recommend this property for anyone traveling

Windermere triathlon event

As we arrived early we could park the car and walk to the Lakeside just a short stroll away. The host's were very helpful and offered lot's of advice. Would definitely stay again!

Lovely location in the centre of Bowness. Car parking a bit tight but to be expected in a prime location.

It was a bit warm when we arrived but quickly sorted by the owner. The curtain rail did fall down which we put back up but it could do with being checked & sorted probably.
