Nice stay spoiled by the door incident and the staff attitude also the cold room

Nice place good location

The place requires some updating we ended up locked out of our room due to a warm out lock I had to borrow tools and remove the lock myself to get back into the room, the hotel management really didn’t seem that bothered, no real apology or reduction in the bill for £178 per night you shouldn’t have to do your own maintenance work!

the chalets could do with a re furb, need money spending on them. the location is fab

breakfast was hot, fresh and plentiful. Staff are very nice and polite, happy to try and help.

the room was very cold and smelled of damp. the curtains didn't fit properly. the room wasn't clean. outside could do with power washing as you bring the dirt in the room.

Disapointed, hotel felt a bit run down and needed an upgrade (didnt see any other rooms)

Hotel was close to town centre (5-7mins walk) Designated parking outside hotel suite. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was good - bacon very hard and crispy (would have liked to have been asked how I liked it cooked)

The room (Mews suite) was in poor condition - There had been a recent leak in the roof and the plaster was split and the walls were stained with the running water leak from the roof area. The shower door handle was not secure and shower area could have been cleaner - mold around base) The carpets were heavily marked. The heating stopped at night (estimate 21.00 hrs) and didnt come back on until 07.00 am approx. The room was very cold through the night. We were there 30th Dec to 2nd Jan 2026. The marks on the carpet could have been reduced if outside was brushed and cleared of moss and mud off the roof area (it was difficult not to walk this into the room area) The bar closed at 09.30 every night (open we think until 01.30 am New Years Eve) We had to pay for accomidation as soon as we arrived (we werent shown the room or about the place normally you would pay on departure including and add on's / drinks etc.

Great location

Location was excellent Very clean Pleasant staff

We stayed in the main house, 2nd floor the floor board was extremely creaky felt the room below must have found it very annoying. On our check out day, we asked if we could keep our car parked for a few more hours as we was planning on spending a few hours around Bowness, reception told us we.could only park for an hour. Found.this a little disappointing. I understand other guests will be arriving but checking not til 3pm we would have long been gone.

Twixtmas holiday

No. 1 was a large room with 1 double and 1 single bed. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. There was very good choice for breakfast and the food was well cooked and delicious. The staff were attentive and courteous.

There was a faint "musty" smell in the bathroom.

Great breakfast. All staff were very good but the new member of staff covering afternoons and evenings was particularly good - efficient, personable and helpful. Jack is also a lovely chap.

The lounge was unavailable to use when reception was unmanned, after 21:30 and before 08:00.

Will definitely be back

Everything was exceptional. We stayed in our own little ‘annex’ room with a balcony (as requested) and it was so peaceful. The bed and pillows were so comfortable and the cleanliness couldn’t have been any better. The breakfast was excellent with good choices of fresh fruit or cereal and then a menu of different things for a cooked breakfast if so desired. Tea and coffee offered along with toast. All staff very attentive

Excellent service in a prime location.

The breakfast was first class with an option of buffet or cooked full English or both..The view was magnificent being in garden surroundings and a long way from the road, so no traffic noise.

A very small fridge would have been nice and we had to shower in the bath. We had to ask for a slip mat which they gave us without argument.

A lovely holiday at a beautiful hotel that we can't wait to repeat.

The hotel, the room, the breakfast menu and the staff were fantastic. The building is beautiful, surrounded by gorgeous gardens, our room was enormous and beautifully decorated with a balcony that overlooked the gardens, the breakfast buffet was one of the best that I have ever experienced and the staff couldn't do enough for us.
