Disappointing

We’ve stayed here before and previously found it to be good value for money, which is why we chose to return. However, this time our experience was disappointing in a few areas. The lady at reception was not welcoming and came across as unaccommodating, particularly when we questioned the unexpected parking fee. We were unaware that parking charges had been introduced, and it would have been helpful to have this clearly communicated in advance. Additionally, we came for a relaxing break, so we were a bit surprised to be asked to select a specific time for breakfast, which added an element of scheduling we weren’t expecting during what was meant to be a laid-back stay.

Great breakfast!

The breakfast was awesome. Great choices and lots of it. The people were welcoming and nice. The location and parking were very good.

The bed was a double bed, not a queen. Late night revelers walk past the place so you do need to wear earplugs which the hotel supplies. The room was very warm and we opened the one upper window that opens but we were never able to get the room cooler for sleeping. Also, it would be nice to have a place to put toiletries rather than on the floor.

A lovely hotel but beware the excessive parking charge

Great location with very friendly and helpful staff. Very good breakfast choice with a range of options on the breakfast menu. Room was very comfortable.

The additional £10 parking charge was unwelcome and excessive given the nightly room rate. I thought this was exploiting paying customers. Room was excessively warm with no means of adjusting the temperature. The fan provided was ridiculously large and noisy and could not be used. Lacked thought and practicality.

As a four day break from London, this was a very satisfactory solution.

The room was very comfortable. Breakfast was very good-- both full English and Continental. Location was very close to shops and restaurants

Very good stay and good value for money.

The property was very central and close to all amenities. All areas of the hotel were very clean and well looked after. The cooked breakfast menu was excellent but the continental breakfast was limited.

The rooms were not air conditioned and the weather was exceptionally hot and fan in room food little too cool to down. Also leaving the windows open meant hearing the noise of the passing traffic.

Uncomfortable room and not the cleanest.

The location is very good. Enjoyed the style of the suite we had (Seduction suite). Breakfast was good and the staff were nice.

The bathroom / toilet has glass windows and a glass door therefore you can see in it. Not what you want when going to the bathroom. The heat in the room was overwhelming and far too hot. The room needs either permanent AC or a portable AC unit. The room also had dead flies all over the dressing table. Very expensive for what it is.

Great location

Breakfast had a good selection with friendly staff serving. Room was comfortable but small and overlooked a noisy road. Ear plugs were provided in the room.

Car parking is charged on arrival if you book through a third party travel site which wasn’t clear when we booked.

Relaxing mini break in lovely location.

We arrived to a very warm welcome. Managed to park right outside the door. Hotel is in a great location. Breakfasts were lovely especially the waffles and all staff we met were warm, friendly and incredibly helpful.

Not sure if we just had noisy neighbours or if the walls were a little thin but we could hear them talking, heard their TV over ours and heard their snoring at night.

Disappointed

Not too much to be honest. Location was lush that’s it.

The room Room 13 was very disappointing small and Dingy, really not worth the money for what it is Apparently that was the superior King ( How on earth ) It’s very basic May as well stayed in a travel lodge for half the price Very disappointed Staff on front desk very abrupt and found rude when pre phoned a few days beforehand.

Disappointed that a member of staff (hotel manager apparently)barged in our room without knocking for no reason at all i was partly naked and when I asked why at reception i was given a feeble excuse of checking guest numbers no apologies at all very disappointing especially when it's such a nice hotel and location I would of been happy with a genuine reason especially when she's the hotel manager and should know the room was occupied for 2 nights

Lobby very clean and pretty, Breakfast was a highlight and Rooms always boujee and clean’ish!

The bed wasn’t made properly and the bed sheet wasn’t quite big enough for the bed, it kept coming off the bed. Not sure if noise was coming from below our room or down the hallway, but we could hear people talking and their TV in our room (Room 6)

Lovely stay in a great location.

The breakfast was really nice and the rooms are lovely. We have stayed before and we would stay again. Bonus to be able to book the spa hotel nearby at a discounted rate when staying.
