Excellent but will not stop in annex part

We stopped in the annex part and was very steep walk up with steps as well also steps to your floor

Really lovely stay

Staff were fabulous, even let us in our room early as it was ready! Big bonus! Along with parking. Only stayed 1 night in an annex double with lake view, perfect. Breakfast was flippin brilliant 😋

Great location- lovely pub with great food - u can opt out of cleaning yr room and receive free drinks which is a good idea. Great breakfast - staff very friendly and helpful.

Room was very small - elbow to elbow width in bathroom, heating in room rather warm (could not adjust) parking is very limited.

No elevators - No taxi availability for 6 am checkout

A truly English hotel . Moderate room size . However comfortable .

No Elevator . Be careful while booking . It’s extremely distressful when you find that to climb upto 3 floors to reach your room if not allowed on ground floor . We had a really morning checkout at 6 15 am & no taxi was available before 7 am . We missed our train . Care to be taken on this count as well .

Lovely stay but not suitable for anyone with mobility issues

The staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and comfortable.

While I accept the Lakes region is in essence hilly, I was surprised that the accommodation was not suitable for someone with mobility issues. The steps from the parking to the front door of the annex building is dangerous, the steps are high and the hand rail is broken providing no help in climbing the steps.

Didn’t feel like a hotel stay , it’s effectively rooms above a busy pub . Rooms are small and dated couldn’t get a shower without flooding the bathroom 😩

Perfect location in the heart of Bowness

The location was excellent- it was a very short walk down to the water and right in the middle of shops and pubs.

The lack of AC in the rooms; sometimes it seemed as if certain staff members in the restaurant were bothered if I asked for additional help

Very clean room, comfy bed. Lovely shower room. Lake view room at top of annex building was small but great view ! Staff very accommodating and friendly. Nice cocktails at bar.

10.30am check out. 11am would be better , especially as no real reception area to sit in. Just the pub /restaurant. Didn't manage breakfast but restaurant food was OK. Mushroom starter was very poor. Little taste . Potatoe Wedges were soggy. Fish pie was good though !

Overall an enjoyable stay.

Rooms were clean, comfortable and had everything you needed. Location was excellent and nice view from the room Breakfast was excellent. The small present for the dog was great and appreciated. We had dinner at the pub as well, which was very tasty and well priced.

The beds were far to soft for us and we didn't have the best nights sleep.
