Everything is perfect, previously had breakfast here before we stayed in the b&b was 10/10. Only thing I can say to improve on whilst staying here is maybe serve breakfast later than 10am as it’s an actual working cafe that serves throughout the day.apart from that everything 10/10

Lovely sized room, comfy bed, nice linen, nice bay window to sit in & people watch

Toilet in our room (Room 7) was far too close to the wall for my liking, could do with a slightly smaller sink & use the space to move the toilet across a little. The toilet at the top of the stairs was generally clean, but bear in mind this is used by the cafe customers too & the inside of the door was very dirty & could do with a good clean. Had I been a cafe customer only & used this facility before dining & would have probably changed my mind & dined elsewhere

Just rolled back from the most delightful little getaway at Monties Guest House, This place has absolutely nailed the whole 'central but somehow magically quiet' thing - which, let's be honest, is like finding a unicorn in most places these days. You're right in the thick of everything but can actually sleep without earplugs. Genius! The rooms were spot on - clean, tidy, and properly modern without that sterile 'did I accidentally check into a laboratory?' vibe. And the location? You couldn't ask for better if you tried. But can we talk about the staff for a hot minute? Absolute angels, the lot of them! So welcoming and helpful, they probably would've carried my bags AND given me a city tour if I'd asked nicely enough. Now, here's where things get serious - the breakfast situation is legendary. We're talking proper classics here, and those cappuccinos? Massive, beautiful, perfectly crafted works of art that could probably wake the dead. Pro tip from someone who learned the hard way: the café opens to the public at 9am, so if you don't fancy queuing behind half the neighborhood for your morning caffeine fix, get yourself down there early! Trust me on this one - you'll thank me when you're sipping your glorious cappuccino in peace while everyone else is still rubbing the sleep from their eyes. Honestly, 10/10 would definitely stay again!"

A great and central place to stay in Bowness on Windermere.

Absolutely great value for money. We have just returned home from Monties and are already talking about our return. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable and all staff members that we interacted with could not do enough to help and accommodate us with our stay The breakfast is exceptionally wonderful and the location of the property is spot on. ( 1 min walk to Beatrix Potter attraction and around a 5 minute walk to the pier area of Bowness.) We will be back! We booked as a couple and stayed in room 7 (Superior double room.) Thank you for a lovely stay.

Excellent location within walking distance to shops, cafe’s, bars and the lake. Anca and staff are lovely, nothing was a bother they were Polite & professional. The breakfast is amazing with plenty of choice. Monties cafe serves food till 4pm daily with great choices too. We will be back.
