Didn’t book breakfast.
Location was fabulous and Jan couldn’t be more helpful, bless her. I still don’t know how she managed to locate and deliver to my room those lovely and very useful, old Ordnance Survey Maps, after 8.30 pm ! .. when I was out for dinner.
Nothing really. The car parking pay machine was only taking coins on first night but worked ok on next day but that’s down to the Council. Nothing to do with Jan or Nico.

Central location, right in the heart of Bowness. Nice compact room with all you need. Host was polite and friendly on arrival. Would stay again

Good communication beforehand although didn't see or hear from the owner at all during the stay. Check in was easy. Plenty of plug sockets in the room, good shower (hot and powerful), nice towels, comfy bed and pillows, great location, good blackout curtains. Overall very basic but room seemed clean enough and comfortable if quite small.
Poo in the toilet when we checked in, the kitchen was messy and dirty with dirty dishes and cooked and raw food left out uncovered. 2 bars of cheap hand soap but no other toiletries provided, heating was on a timer so although we could turn the radiator off we couldn't turn it on whenever we wanted, there was a gas safety warning letter left out in the kitchen, a dog barking in one of the rooms at 10pm despite the property stating it no longer accepts pets. The walls were thin so could hear people talking in other rooms. Could hear the electric shower in neighbouring room very loudly.
