Night in bowness with no frills great bar and location

Great Location and one of the best bars in the area

Black room with a white door to the toilet and a cupboard it was just dull . No hot water for a shower in the morning raised this and absolutely nothing was done about it also left something in the room when they finally got back in touch said nothing had been left which i know it had

Amazing place to stay

The bed was so comfortable, the staff catered to my needs and adapted things to help me feel more comfortable. Great location to stay with just a five minute walk to the lake.

Only serve food Friday to Sunday. Understandable in the winter months but could do it where the guests get to pre book online so they can stay and eat if they don't feel like going out.

We have stayed several times before , the last time 2 years ago, the standards have dropped now.

The Location

Cold room radiator in the bedroom only tepid warm no knobs to turn it up, spoke to the cleaner nothing done about it the towel rail in the bathroom did not work at all, the shower hose was like a garden sprinkler , grubby walls and carpets. It’s always been a basic accommodation however you do expect it to be clean and warm.

Nice room overlooking the high street

Unhappy that the restaurant was closed for refurbishment, was not informed of this by booking com nor the hotel. Needed a mat in bathroom for after using shower, there should've been a bin in the bathroom and a beaker at sink would've been useful.

Pet Friendly.

Great location. Great staff and great price. Comfortable dog friendly room. Ideal if you want basic accommodation at a great price. Great pub downstairs, can't praise the staff and locals enough who couldn't have made us .ore welcome. Definitely be visiting again soon.

Hanging space for clothes right over where the kettle was, I didn't unpack so not a bother for me but if you did to hang anything it would be getting the steam from the kettle.

The people were very friendly.

You had to park a little way down the road which wasn't an issue, but not obvious. The room was o but gave the impression it could do with a deep clean and everything was getting to the stage that it needed replacing. The bathroom was not great. Mould in / around the shower and largely painted black, which resembled a cheap nightclub. It was ok for me just staying for a night on business, but not somewhere i could have brought my family or wife for a weekend away. We also discovered that they don't serve breakfast. However, we were directed to a cafe, which did a very nice breakfast.

En-suite (has no window) had a strong damp smell which seemed to be coming from the shower cubicle, but it was all clean. No fridge available and room got very warm so bottled water was warm.

Great little break

Great hotel we always stay here. Staff are amazing and friendly more than willing to help nothing is too much trouble.

Room above must have been family room as could hear children banging until 10pm and then again at 5am.

Excellent location, just up the main back from Windermere. Its a must go for a relaxing beer or two!

Everything, its just got this lovely friendly charm to it! Ran by two brother, that really do it credit. Will 100% be back again. This time to have food. It looked amassing. Just couldn't get in for it being fully booked.

Pleasant venue a short walk from the centre. Lively pub though, if you like that sort of thing.

Room was comfortable and clean, shower nice and hot. Staff friendly and welcoming. Reasonably easy walking distance from the town centre and the lakeside.

My room was directly above the pub, which turned out to have a "lively" clientele, making getting to sleep before midnight nigh on impossible even with earplugs.

The staff were lovely and the bed was comfy. Local to the shops Bar had a nice atmostphere

The room we were in was room one, it was black painted and small, shower sealant was black in shower, taps where dodgy in the bathroom sink which you had to keep turning to turn on then tightly turn it off to avoid dripping. Room was hot so had to have window open , outside was noisy from the pub downstairs and could hear the music. People in and out there rooms No bin in toilet so had to put my sanitary stuff in the bin in the main room. Small mirror in main room which was hard to see in when i had to have the blinds shut in the morning so noone can see in getting dressed. When leaving seen a room open and that room was totally different to our room we had. Dont normally moan but the room didnt have to be black.

No parking, very difficult to even get parked close by. Very dark room , 3 of the walls painted black in the room. Bathroom all black too. Carpet in room was old and dirty, couple sockets not working. Room quite small

The room's were cozy and it was a great location for going around bowness.

I couldn't sleep until 2am because there was a band downstairs and they the crowd was singing very loudly. Would have like some prior warning.

Great location, nice staff, place is stinking

Dirty, smelly, dirty handprints all over the wardrobe. Bathroom was filthy, toilets seat broken. Old bags of washing /laundry left outside our room door.

It was not clean, the pull out bed was awful
